Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) is one of the most economically serious veterinary pathogens due to its negative effects on livestock and its highly infectious nature via a variety of transmission paths through oral and inhalation routes. Measures to enhance outbreak management can be designed according to analytical results predicted by mathematical models for wind-borne dispersion, an important path of virus transmission. Accurate atmospheric dispersion models are useful tools for properly determining risk management plans, while inaccurate models may conversely lead to accidental loss in two possible ways. Overly strict measures, e.g., slaughter for too wide an area, can cause severe economic difficulties, including irreversible loss of business operations for a number of farms. On the contrary, inestimable loss potentially caused by lax controls is a persistent threat. In this paper, available modelling procedures for forecasting the spread of FMDV, which have been used since the 1970s, each having its advantages and limitations, are reviewed for the purpose of ensuring suitable application in various conditions of any future emergency cases.

The evolutionarily conserved RnA Polymerase Ⅱ Rpb4/7 sub-complex has been thoroughly studied in yeast and impacts gene expression at multiple levels including transcription,mRnA processing and *** addition Rpb4/7 exerts differential effects on gene expression in yeast and Rpb4 is not obligatory for yeast(***)*** roles for human(hs)Rpb4/7 have not been extensively described and we have probed this question by depleting hsRpb4/7 in established human cell lines using RnA *** find that Rpb4/7 protein levels are inter-dependent and accordingly,the functional effects of depleting either protein are ***4/7 exhibits gene-specific effects and cells initially remain viable upon hsRpb4/7 *** prolonged hsRpb4/7 depletion is cytotoxic in the range of cell lines *** cell death occurs by an unknown mechanism and in some cases is accompanied by a pronounced elongated cell *** conclusion we provide evidence for a gene-specific role of hsRpb4/7 in human cell viability.

Ray-space based arbitrary viewpoint rendering without complex object segmentation or model construction is the main technology to realize Free Viewpoint Video(FVV) system for complex scenes. Ray-space interpolation and compression are two key techniques for the solution. In this paper,correlation among multiple epipolar lines in ray-space data is analyzed,and a new method of ray-space interpolation with multi-epipolar lines matching is proposed. Comparing with the pixel-based matching interpolation method and the block-based matching interpolation method,the proposed method can achieve higher Peak Signal to noise Ratio(PSnR) in interpolating rayspace data and rendering arbitrary viewpoint images.

The demand for defect diagnoses is gradually gaining ground owing to the growing necessity to implement safe inspection methods to ensure the durability and quality of ***,conventional manpower-based inspection methods not only incur considerable cost and time,but also cause frequent disputes regarding defects owing to poor ***,the demand for an effective and efficient defect-diagnosis model for concrete structures is imminent,as the reduction in maintenance costs is significant from a long-term ***,this paper proposes a deep learning-based image objectidentification method to detect the defects of paint peeling,leakage peeling,and leakage traces that mostly occur in underground parking lots made of concrete *** deep learning-based object-detection method can replace conventional visual inspection methods.A faster region-based convolutional neural network(R-Cnn)model was used with a training dataset of 6,281 images that utilized a region proposal network to objectively localize the regions of interest and detect the surface *** defects were classified according to their type,and the learning of each exclusive model was ensured through test sets obtained from real underground parking *** a result,average precision scores of 37.76%,36.42%,and 61.29%were obtained for paint peeling,leakage peeling,and leakage trace defects,***,this study verified the performance of the faster RCnn-based defect-detection algorithm along with its applicability to underground parking lots.

Role of oregano and Citrus species-based essential oil preparation for the control of coccidiosis in broiler chickens

Regulation of amino acid transporters in the mammary gland from late pregnancy to peak lactation in the sow

Background: Milk protein is crucial for milk quality in sows and health of newborn piglets. Plasma amino acids(AA)in sows are important precursors for milk protein synthesis in the mammary gland. In order to study the regulation of AA transported in sow mammary glands and possible underlying mechanisms, we measured the expression of genes coding for milk proteins, AA transporter expressions, and plasma AA concentrations in sows at three different physiological stages(D-17, D1 and D17 of lactation), and then further investigated the regulation of AA transport across the cell membrane by adaptive mechanisms using pig mammary epithelial cells(PMEC) as an in vitro *** were cultured in DMEM:F12 with 4 amino acid concentrations(0 × AA complex, 1 × AA complex, 5 × AA complex,and 25 × AA complex). Classes of AA complexes evaluated in this study included neutral AAs(L-Ala + L-Ser + L-Cys), acidic AAs(L-Asp, L-Glu) and neutral + basic AAs(L-Ala + L-Ser + L-Cys + L-Lys).Results: Our results indicated that m RnA expression of genes coding for milk protein(αs1-casein, αs2-casein,β-casein and κ-casein) increased significantly with the advance of physiological stage(P nd plasma concentrations of most AAs including threonine, serine, glutamate, alanine, valine, cysteine, methionine, isoleucine and tyrosine were greater at D1 of lactation compared with D-17 and D17 of lactation(P nally, protein and gene expressions of AA transporters including excitatory AA transporter 3(EAAT3), alanine/serine/cysteine/threonine transporter(ASCT1) and sodium-coupled neutral AA transporter 1(SnAT2) were greater in lactating sow mammary glands compared with sow mammary glands in late pregnancy(P nA expressions of SLC38 A2, SLC1 A1,SLC6 A14 increased significantly in the cell mediums supplemented with 5 × and 25 × of AA complexes compared with those cells cultured in DMEM/F12 cell medium(P nA expressions of SLC38 A, SLC1 A4, and SLC6 A14

Prevalence and medical management of erectile ：lysfunction in Asia

Erectile dysfunction （ED） is an important worldwide health issue that has a significant negative impact on the quality of life and life satisfaction of both the affected individual and his partner. Here we review the prevalence of ED in Asia, associated factors that may influence sexual attitudes and sexual behaviours, and randomized clinical trials （RCTs） of phosphodiesterase-5 （PDE-5） inhibitors to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of PDE-5 inhibitors in Asian men. We searched for English-language articles in MEDLInE and PubMed from January 2000 to September 2010. Our results showed that the overall reported prevalence rate of ED in Asia ranged widely, from 2% to 88%. This finding indicates that ED is a common and major health problem in this region. However, sociocultural and economic factors in Asia prevent people from seeking and obtaining appropriate medical care. We found reports on five kinds of PDE-5 inhibitors for the management of ED.＇ sildenafil, vardenafil, tadalafil, udenafil and mirodenafih The results of RCTs showed that these five PDE-5 inhibitors are more effective than placebo in improving erectile function in Asian men with ED and that these drugs have similar efficacy and safety profiles.

We studied the pair production of charged scalar particles of a five-dimensional near extremal Reissner-nordström-Anti de Sitter(Rn-AdS_(5))black *** pair production rate and the absorption cross section ratio in full spacetime are obtained and are shown to have a concise relation with their counterparts in the near horizon *** addition,the holographic descriptions of the pair production,both in the IR CFT in the near horizon region and the UV CFT at the asymptotic spatial boundary of the Rn-AdS_(5) black hole,are analyzed in the AdS_(2)/CFT_(1) and AdS_(5)/CFT_(4) correspondences,*** work gives a complete description of scalar pair production in a near extremal Rn-AdS_(5) black hole.
