Increas.ng traffic volumes.and loads.as.well as.public expectation for a long-las.ing trans.ortation infras.ructure have neces.itated des.gning perpetual pavements. The KDOT （Kans.s.Department of Trans.ortation） conducted a field trial to inves.igate the s.itability of perpetual pavement concept for Kans.s.highway pavements. The experiment involved cons.ruction of four thick pavement s.ructures. To verify the approach of des.gning perpetual pavements.on the bas.s.of an endurance s.rain limit, the pavements.were ins.rumented with gauges.for meas.ring tens.le s.rains.at the bottom of as.halt bas. layers.at various.s.eeds. Pavements.were als. ins.rumented with pres.ure cells.to meas.re s.res. on the top of s.bgrade. Pavement res.ons. meas.rements.under known vehicle load were performed in Augus. 2006. FWD （Falling-weight deflectometer） was.als. us.d to collect deflection data at 15 m intervals.on the s.me date. FWD firs.-s.ns.r （center） deflections.were normalized and corrected to 20 ℃ temperature bas.d on meas.red mid-depth pavement temperature. The res.lt s.ows.that s.rain and s.res. meas.rements.s.ow s.gnificant amount of variations. Meas.rements.in the thickes. s.ction are the mos. cons.s.ent. The higher the traffic s.eed, the lower the s.rains.and s.res.es. The difference between s.rains.and s.res.es.at 30 kmhar and 65 km/hr is.higher than the difference between 65 km/hr and 95 kin/hr. This.s.ows.the effect of s.eed on s.res.es.and s.rains.decreas.s.as.the s.eed increas.s. s.fter binder in the as.halt bas. layer res.lts.in lower s.rains. which confirms.that s.fter binder res.lts.in higher fatigue life.

The KDOT （Kans.s.Department of Trans.ortation） is.currently adopting MEPDG （mechanis.ic-empirical pavement des.gn guide） to replace the 1993 AAs.TO （American As.ociation of s.ate Highway and Trans.ortation Officials. des.gn method. The main objective of this.s.udy was.to compare flexible pavement des.gn us.ng 1993 AAs.TO des.gn guide and MEPDG. Five newly built s.perior PERforming As.halt PAVEments.（s.perpave）, des.gned us.ng the 1993 AAs.TO Des.gn Guide, were s.lected as.tes. s.ctions.for the des.gn s.mulation s.udy. Deflection data were collected approximately 8 to 10 weeks.after cons.ruction us.ng FWD （falling weight deflectometer）. The FWD deflection data were us.d to back-calculate the pavement layer moduli us.ng three different back-calculation programs. The exis.ing pavement s.ructures.were analyzed for a 10-year analys.s.period. The maximum numbers.of years.the exis.ing pavement s.ructures.will be in a s.rviceable condition as.well as.the minimum thicknes.es.of different layers.to s.rve for 10-years.were als. determined. Effects.of changing s.bgrade modulus. target dis.res., and reliability were als. inves.igated. The MEPDG des.gn analys.s.s.ows.that the 1993 AAs.TO Guide-des.gned flexible pavements.do not s.ow the dis.res.es.currently obs.rved in Kans.s.for the 10-year des.gn period. The MEPDG des.gn s.mulation s.ows.that the thinner the pavement s.ctions. the higher the permanent deformation. The exis.ing pavement s.ructures.can s.rve for more than 20 years.as.per the MEPDG des.gn analys.s.if the default failure criteria and nationally-calibrated models.are us.d.

Curling res.lts.from the temperature differential acros. the concrete s.ab thicknes. and may induce undue s.res.es.in newly placed s.ab. This.s.udy deals.with the finite element （FE） analys.s.of curling, curling s.res.es. field meas.rement of curling on a newly built jointed plain concrete pavement, and comparis.n of its.long-term performance us.ng both Mechanis.ic-Empirical Pavement Des.gn Guide （MEPDG） and HIPERPAVII s.ftware. The FE analys.s.was.performed with a s.ftware program, ANs.s. The tes. s.ction was.modeled as.a three-layer s.s.em with 300 mm concrete s.ab, 100 mm treated drainable bas., and 150 mm lime-treated s.bgrade. All layers.were as.umed to be linear elas.ic. Temperature data was.collected at five different depth locations.acros. the concrete s.ab with digital data loggers. Curling was.meas.red on five different days.with a s.mple s.tup. The effect of temperature nonlinearities.acros. the s.ab thicknes. was.als. examined. The res.lts.s.ow that both upward and downward curling increas. as.the temperature differential increas.s. The maximum s.res. res.lting from the combined effect of curling and traffic loading due to pos.tive temperature differential is.higher than that due to the negative temperature differential of the s.me magnitude. s.nce temperature differential has.a s.gnificant influence on curling, both curling and curling s.res.es.can be mitigated at an early age with temperature control, namely via enhanced curing. Both MEPDG and HIPERPAVII s.owed approximately the s.me performance for the PCC thicknes. ranging from 215 mm to 300 mm for this.project. Performance prediction from HIPERPAVII is.very s.ns.tive to the change in PCC thicknes. les. than 230 mm whereas.MEPDG prediction is.not as.s.ns.tive to the thicknes. change as.with HIPERPAV 1I.

Res.lts.s.xty-one cancer s.rvivors.and 183 matched non-cancer patients.were s.reened from 2,828 COVID-19 infected patients.admitted to 4 hos.itals.in Wuhan,*** median ages.of the cancer s.rvivor cohort and non-cancer patient cohort were 64.0(55.0–73.0)and 64.0(54.0–73.5),res.ectively(P=0.909).Cancer s.rvivors.reported a higher incidence of s.mptom ons.t than non-cancer ***(80.3%vs.65.0%;P=0.026)was.the mos. prevalent s.mptom,followed by cough(65.6%vs.37.7%;Ps.13.6%;Ps.s.of the development of s.vere events.adjus.ed hazard ratio[AHR]=1.25;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.76–2.06;P=0.378)and mortality(relative ris.[RR]=0.90,95%CI:0.79–1.04;P=0.416)in the cancer s.rvivor cohort were comparable to thos. of the matched non-cancer patient ***,the cancer s.rvivor cohort s.owed a higher incidence of s.condary infection(52.5%vs.30.1%;RR=1.47,95%CI:1.11–1.95;P=0.002)and a prolonged viral RNA s.edding duration(32 days.IQR 26.0–46.0]vs.24.0 days.IQR 18.0–33.0];AHR=0.54;95%CI:0.38–0.80;Ps.on Compared to non-cancer patients.cancer s.rvivors.with COVID-19 exhibited a higher incidence of s.condary infection,a prolonged period of viral s.edding,but comparable ris.s.of the development of s.vere events.and *** is.helpful for clinicians.to take tailored meas.res.to treat cancer s.rvivors.with COVID-19.

The purpos. of this.paper is.to pres.nt the res.lts.of a res.arch priority s.tting exercis. on mHealth and innovative s.rategies. s.rong>Methods.s.rong> We adapted Child Health and Nutrition Res.arch Initiative methodology to identify and s.t res.arch priorities.on mHealth and innovative s.rategies.that res.ond to s.xual and reproductive health and rights.s.rvices. General potential res.arch ques.ions.were gathered online from multiple s.akeholders.in the region and s.nt for cons.lidation cons.lidated to technical experts.in World Health Organization headquarters. The s.cond phas. involved a meeting with experts.to review and thematically analyze the ques.ions.lis. of 33 ques.ions.producing a lis. of 22 res.arch ques.ions. The ques.ions.were s.ored agains. a s.x point criteria and ranked accordingly.
