Washed microbiota transplantation for Crohn’s disease:A metagenomic,metatranscriptomic,and metabolomic-based study

Deep-red/near-infrared fluorescence is highly suitable for bioimaging owing to its ability to deeply penetrate tissues,organs,and live ***,developing organic fluorophores with high deep-red/near-infrared fluorescence quantum yield(Φ_(FL))and fluorescent brightness remain a significant challenge owing to the energy gap ***,we developed a straightforward and effective chalcogen-annulation strategy by introducing O,S and Se into the bay region of TDI and QDI fluorophores,realizing the increase ofΦFLand fluorescent brightness up to 10 *** our best knowledge,this study potentially stands as the pioneering instance showcasing the anti-heavy-atom effect of chalcogens,and the absoluteΦFL(93%)and fluorescent brightness(128,200 cm^(-1)mol^(-1)L)of Se-TDI is among top deep-red/near-infrared organic fluorophores currently *** femtosecond transient absorption(fs-ta)measurements show the absence of obvious changes of the excited state lifetime after the introduction of chalcogens in TDI and QDI fluorophores,indicating that intersystem crossing(ISC)can be neglected in TDI and QDI *** calculations further reveal the chalcogen-annulation strategy increase the radiative rates and reduce the reorganization energy of several accepting modes at the ground state in TDI fluorophores,leading to the suppression of internal conversion(IC)*** chalcogen-annulation strategy,which effectively increases the Φ_(FL)and restricts the IC processes,while remaining unaffected by the heavy-atom effect,offers novel insights and theoretical support for the design and synthesis of deep-red/near-infrared organic fluorophores with high Φ_(FL)and fluorescent brightness.

Chloride solid electrolytes(SEs)have attracted widespread attention due to their high room-temperature ionic conductivity and excellent cathode ***,the conventionally selected central metal elements(e.g.,In,Y and ta)are usually rare and heavy,inevitably causing the high cost and high density of the obtained chloride ***,by choosing abundant and light Mg and Al as central metal elements,we develop a cheap and low density Li_(1.2)Mg_(0.95)Al_(0.3)Cl_(4)SE for high active material ratio in all solid state *** replacement of Mg^(2+)by Al^(3+)in the framework yields vacancies and lowers the non-lithium metal ions occupancy at Mg/Li co-occupied 16d site,effectively relieving the blocking effects by Mg^(2+)in the pristine spinel Li_(2-2x)Mg_(1+x)Cl_(4).Thus,a significantly improved room-temperature conductivity of 3.08×10^(-4)S·cm^(-1)is achieved,two orders of magnitude higher than that of Li_(1.2)Mg_(1.4)Cl_(4).More attractively,its low density of only 1.98 g·cm-3 enables low SE mass ratio in cathodes(only 16 wt.%)with still effective electrolyte/cathode contact and lithium-ion conduction *** charged to potential of 4.30 V,the asfabricated Li_(1.2)Mg_(0.95)Al_(0.3)Cl_(4)-based solid lithium battery with uncoated NCM523 cathode can be cycled for over 100 cycles with a capacity retention of 86.68%at room temperature.

为探究辽宁省浑太河流域水生生物营养结构特征及其变化,分别于2020年秋季(10月)和2021年春季(5月)对该流域开展渔业资源调查,依据主要消费者及饵料生物样品的碳、氮稳定同位素值(δ13C和δ15N),利用SIBER和MixSIAR模型分析渔获物群落营养结构的时空差异,并初步构建该流域的食物网。结果表明,主要渔获物的δ13C和δ15N值分别为–37.18‰—–19.28‰和7.98‰—16.51‰,且季节性差异不显著(P>0.05),但δ13C值空间差异极显著(P<0.01)。浑太河流域渔获物的营养级为1.71—4.39,同种鱼类营养级具有极显著的时空差异(P<0.01)。与春季相比,鱼类在秋季摄食的食物资源更丰富、所占的生态位更宽,同时太子河的各项群落营养结构指标均优于浑河。基础食源分析结果表明水生植物与陆生植物分别为浑太河两个季度的主要碳源,陆生植物和POM分别为浑河和太子河中鱼类的主要碳源。研究填补了对浑太河流域水生生物食物网及群落营养结构研究的空缺,为该流域后续的保护、修复及进一步开发提供参考依据。

We present a case of necrotizing pneumonia in an 87-year-old man without severe respiratory instability. Clinical suspicion arose due to the need for supplementary oxygen and persistent fever during treatment for community-acquired pneumonia. The diagnosis was confirmed by chest computed tomography. Although necrotizing pneumonia typically requires major surgical intervention upon diagnosis, we chose conservative management with antimicrobials and chest drainage alone. The patient experienced significant improvement and resolution of pneumonia with conservative management.

Vacancy-defect-dipole amplifies the thermoacoustic conversion efficiency of carbon nanoprobes

The immense potential of carbon nanoprobes(CNPs)for using as contrast agents has propelled much recent research and development in the field of thermoacoustic(ta)molecular imaging,while the proper engineering and design of such materials with required high ta conversion efficiency is still a highly challenging *** this work,we proposed a controllable strategy to amplify the ta conversion efficiency of the CNPs by constructing vacancy defect(VD)dipoles,and systematically demonstrated the amplification mechanism through theoretical and experimental ***-principles calculation results indicate that,when a carbon atom is removed from the CNPs by chemical approach,owing to local electron density redistribution,the VDs are formed at the positions of the original carbon atoms and act as the structural origin of permanent electric dipoles with the dipole moment several orders higher than that of non-defect *** pulsed microwave irradiation,the VD dipoles are polarized repeatedly and significantly contribute to the conversion efficiency from absorbed electromagnetic waves to ultrasound through enhanced dielectric relaxation *** experimentally synthesized graphene samples with different VD densities and VD types to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed strategy,and results coincide well with the theoretical *** work offers feasible guidance to the systematic development and rational design of new high-conversion-efficiency ta CNPs via VD engineering.

Dimensioning Urban Drainage Systems in Housing Subdivisions in the Amazon Using Different Hydrological Models

Hydrological studies for sizing urban drainage systems in the Amazon have often been neglected and little investigated for rainwater projects. This research evaluated alternative hydrological models used in sizing urban drainage network projects in subdivisions with subsidized houses in the Amazonian region in Brazil. Statistical tests of these models were performed for both original and alternative scenarios. The methodological steps we conducted as follows: 1) evaluate the dimensioning of infrastructure project networks, considering two case studies contemplated by the Calha Norte Program (CNP) in the state of Amapá;2) test the statistical significance of the dimensioning of network diameters (α idering a) benchmark project (MD or M1) approved by the Ministry of Defense;b) determination of concentration time (Ct) and rainfall intensity-duration-frequency (idF) relationships, as well as estimating diameters using alternative models. The results indicated a significant influence on the diameters of the projected rainfall networks (p t parameter significantly impacts dimensioning estimates in rainwater projects in these Amazonian municipalities. This suggests that underestimated parameters in MD may cause inefficiency in the stormwater system projects in future similar scenarios.

Chrysanthemum-like high-entropy diboride nanoflowers: A new class of high-entropy nanomaterials

High-throughput phenotyping of two plant-size traits of Eucalyptus species using neural networks

In forest modeling to estimate the volume of wood,artificial intelligence has been shown to be quite effi-cient,especially using artificial neural networks(ANNs).Here we tested whether diameter at breast height(DBH)and the total plant height(Ht)of eucalyptus can be pre-dicted at the stand level using spectral bands measured by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)multispectral sensor and vegetation *** do so,using the data obtained by the UAV as input variables,we tested different configurations(number of hidden layers and number of neurons in each layer)of ANNs for predicting DBH and Ht at stand level for different Eucalyptus *** experimental design was randomized blocks with four replicates,with 20 trees in each experimental *** treatments comprised five Eucalyptus species(***,***,***,***-dis,and ***)and Corymbria *** and Ht for each plot at the stand level were measured seven times in separate overflights by the UAV,so that the multispectral sensor could obtain spectral bands to calculate vegetation indices(VIs).ANNs were then constructed using spectral bands and VIs as input layers,in addition to the categorical variable (species), to predict DBH and Ht at the stand level simultaneously. This report represents one of the first appli-cations of high-throughput phenotyping for plant size traits in Eucalyptus species. In general, ANNs containing three hidden layers gave better statistical performance (higher esti-mated r, lower estimated root mean squared error-RMSE) due to their greater capacity for self-learning. Among these ANNs, the best contained eight neurons in the first layer, seven in the second, and five in the third (8 − 7 − 5). The results reported here reveal the potential of using the gener-ated models to perform accurate forest inventories based on spectral bands and VIs obtained with a UAV multispectral sensor and ANNs, reducing labor and time.
