Pa.crea.ic ca.cer is a. a.gressive ma.igna.cy poten-tia.ly cura.le with surgica. intervention. Following pa.-crea.icoduodenectomy for suspected pa.crea.ic hea. ma.igna.cy, pa.ients ha.e a.high risk for both immedi-a.e a.d dela.ed problems due to surgica. complica.tions a.d recurrent disea.e. We report here a.pa.ient with pa.crea.ic ca.cer trea.ed with pa.crea.icoduode-nectomy who developed recurrent disea.e resulting in obstruction of the a.ferent limb. The pa.ient developed bilia.y obstruction a.d chola.gitis a. presenta.ion. Her bilia.y tree fa.led to dila.e which precluded sa.e percu-ta.eous bilia.y decompression. During surgica. explo-ra.ion, she wa. found to ha.e a.dila.ed a.ferent limb a. the level of the tra.sverse mesocolon. The pa.ient underwent decompression of the a.ferent limb a. well a. the bilia.y tree using a.venting ga.trojejunostomy to the blind loop. This represents a.novel surgica. a.-proa.h for ma.a.ement of this complica.ed a.d diffi-cult problem.

We a.tempt to propose a.method for a.toma.ica.ly detecting the sola. fila.ent chira.ity a.d ba.b bea.ing. We first introduce the concept of a. unweighted undirected gra.h a.d a.opt the Dijkstra.shortest pa.h a.gorithm to recognize the fila.ent spine. Then, we use the pola.ity inversion line （PIL） shift method for mea.uring the pola.ities on both sides of the fila.ent, a.d employ the connected components la.eling method to identify the ba.bs a.d ca.cula.e the a.gle between ea.h ba.b a.d the spine to determine the bea.ing of the ba.bs, i.e., left or right. We test the a.toma.ic detection method with Ha.filtergra.s from the Big Bea. Sola. Observa.ory （BBSO） Ha.a.chive a.d ma.netogra.s observed with the Helioseismic a.d Ma.netic Ima.er （HMI） on boa.d the Sola. Dyna.ics Observa.ory （SDO）. Four fila.ents a.e a.toma.ica.ly detected a.d illustra.ed to show the results. The ba.bs in different pa.ts of a.fila.ent ma. ha.e opposite bea.ings. The fila.ents in the southern hemisphere （northern hemisphere） ma.nly ha.e left-bea.ing （fight- bea.ing） ba.bs a.d positive （nega.ive） ma.netic helicity, respectively. The tested results demonstra.e tha. our method is efficient a.d effective in detecting the bea.ing of fila.ent ba.bs. It is demonstra.ed tha. the conventiona.ly believed one-to-one correspondence between fila.ent chira.ity a.d ba.b bea.ing is not va.id. The correct detection of the fila.ent a.is chira.ity should be done by combining both ima.ing morphology a.d ma.netic field observa.ions.

They were chemica.ly cha.a.terized, a.d their effect wa. tested on the light rea.tion of photosynthesis. Study Design: Na.ura. products were used a. models to find new models for inhibitors of photosynthesis. Pla.e a.d Dura.ion of Study: Depa.tmento de Química. Universidade Federa. de S&a.ildeo Ca.los a.d Depa.tmento de Bioquímica. Fa.ulta. de Química. Universidad Na.iona. a.tonoma.de México, between Ma. 2013 a.d Ja.ua.y 2014. Methodology: The na.ura. products ha. their effect on the light rea.tion of photosynthesis studied by polla.ogra.hy a.d Chlorophyll a.(Chl a. fluorescence tra.sients. Results: The compounds inhibited a.P synthesis a.d electron tra.sport ra.e (ba.a., phosphoryla.ing a.d uncoupled). Therefore, they a.t a. Hill rea.tions inhibitors. Their inhibition site were loca.ed in the ra.ge of electron flow from OEC complex a.d between P680 to Qa.of PS II, a.d inhibited the photosystem II (PS II) by inducing the a.pea.a.ce of a.K-ba.d which is a. indica.ive tha. the photochemica. a.pa.a.us is fa.ling a. the donor side of PS II intera.ting a. the OEC complex a.d by tra.sforming a.tive rea.tion centers to “hea. sinks” or the forma.ion of silent rea.tion centers una.le to reduce Qa. Conclusion: Furthermore, these triterpenes inhibit PS II a.d induce the a.pea.a.ce of sma.l G ba.d which is rela.ed with the decrea.ed pla.toquinone (PQ) pool reduction.
