Hydrocarbon indication in Rio Bonito Formation sandstone:Implication for cO_(2)storage in São Paulo,Brazil

São Paulo State has witnessed cO_(2)storage-based investigations considering the availability of suitable geologic structures and proximity to primary cO_(2)source sinks related to bioenergy and carbon capture and storage(BEccS)*** current study presents the hydrocarbon viability evaluations and cO_(2)storage prospects,focusing on the sandstone units of the Rio Bonito *** objective is to apply petrophysical evaluations with geochemical inputs in predicting future hydrocarbon(gas)production to boost cO_(2)storage within the study *** study used data from eleven wells with associated wireline logs(gamma ray,resistivity,density,neutron,and sonic)to predict potential hydrocarbon accumulation and fluid mobility in the investigated *** samples(shale and carbonate)obtained from depths>200 m within the study location have shown bitumen *** geochemistry data of the Rio Bonito Formation shale beds suggest they are potential hydrocarbon source rocks and could have contributed to the gas accumulations within the sandstone *** drilled well data,e.g.,cB-1-SP and TI-1-SP,show hydrocarbon(gas)presence based on the typical resistivity and the combined neutron-density responses at depths up to 3400 m,indicating the possibility of other hydrocarbon members apart from the heavy oil(bitumen)observed from the near-surface rocks *** the three-dimensional(3-D)model,the free fluid indicator(FFI)is more significant towards the southwest and southeast of the area with deeper depths of occurrence,indicating portions with reasonable hydrocarbon recovery rates and good prospects for cO_(2)injection,circulation and permanent ***,future studies based on contemporary datasets are required to establish the hydrocarbon viability further,foster gas production events,and enhance cO_(2)storage possibilities within the region.

From Fostering to Delusional Disorder of Filiation

Introduction: Fostering is a widespread practice in West Africa. It played an essential role in the circulation of children. The failure of its community regulation, not compensated by a legal framework, has made its practice precarious. Observation: A case study was conducted on Dior, who was hospitalised in a psychiatric ward for a delusional disorder of filiation. Dior was entrusted to her maternal grandmother and aunt at ages 2 and 9. During these fosterings, the place of the symbolic father was not substituted, causing a void that challenged her imagination. The outcome was an inscription in a genealogy where she had found herself with prestigious parents. Discussion: Fostering has strongly disrupted the family dynamics in Dior’s case. One of her options was to assume the paternal function, the use of which was perceived as a defiance or even a transgression. This same function would be a starting point of a psychosis whose filial character would only be an attempt at rectification where reality and imagination collide. conclusion: Our study reveals the importance of stable parental figures at stake in fostering contexts, which constitute a risk factor for the development of a subsequent psychosis.

Health risks of pest control and disinfection workers after the cOVid-19 outbreak in South Korea

The exposure patterns of pest control and disinfection workers have changed after the coronavirus disease 2019(cOVid-19)outbreak,but the health risks of chemical exposure have not been *** identified these workers’chemical exposure patterns and risks before and after the cOVid-19 *** used data conducted between 2018(pre-pandemic)and 2021(post-pandemic)from three-year cross-sectional surveys on pest control and disinfection *** and dermal exposure concentrations were estimated using equations based on a biocidal product risk assessment model from the Korean National Institute of Environmental *** non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks of chemicals were calculated using the United States Environmental Protection Agency risk assessment *** found that the annual work frequency(50^(th)percentile)of foggers using disinfectants increased the most among all the work types,from 140 uses/year to 176 uses/year after the cOVid-19 ***,all chemicals’non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks increased regardless of exposure *** the worst scenario(95^(th)percentile),the margin of exposure for citric acid,benzethonium chloride,benzyl-c12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides,and sodium chlorite of inhalation exposure,and isopropyl alcohol and benzyl-c12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides of dermal exposure were acceptable(>100)before the cOVid-19outbreak but became unacceptable(cOVid-19 *** risks of dichlorvos from inhalation and dermal exposure were above acceptable levels(>10^(-6))before and after the cOVid-19 outbreak but comparatively high after the cOVid-19 ***,significantly more workers experienced health symptoms after the cOVid-19outbreak(pcommon being muscle lethargy(31%),skin/face stinging(28.7%),and breath shortness/neck pain(24.1%).

Optical Transient Source AT2021lfa:A Possible“Dirty Fireball”

AT2021lfa,also known as ZTF21aayokph,was detected by the Zwicky Transient Facility on 2021 May 4,a 05:34:48 ***-up observations were conducted using a range of ground-based optical telescopes,as wel as Swift/XRT and VLA ***2021lfa is classified as an“orphan afterglow”candidate due to its rapid flux decline and its reddened color(g-r=0.17±0.14 mag).For an optical transient source without promp gamma-ray detection,one key point is to determine its burst *** we measure the burst time through fitting the initial bump feature of AT2021lfa and obtain its burst time as 2021 May 3,at 22:09:50 *** afterglowpy,we model the multi-band afterglow of AT2021lfa and find that the standard model canno reproduce the late radio observations *** that the microphysical parameters ε_(e),ε_(B)(the energy fraction given to electrons and magnetic field),andξN(the fraction of accelerated electrons)may vary with time we then model the afterglow of AT2021lfa taking into account the temporal evolution of the physical parameters ε_(e),ε^(B),and ξ_(N) and find in this case the multi-wavelength observations can be reproduced *** initial Lorentz factor of AT2021lfa can be estimated from the peak time of the early afterglow,which yields a value of about 18 suggesting that AT2021lfa should be classified as a“dirty fireball.”From the upper limit for the prompt emission energy of AT2021lfa,we obtain that the radiation efficiency is less than 0.02%,which is much smaller than that of ordinary gamma-ray bursts(GRBs).It is also interesting that the fitted values of jet angle and viewing angle are very large,θ_(c)~0.66 rad,θ_(v)~0.53 rad,which may lead to the low Lorentz factor and radiation *** compared with GRB afterglow samples,it is evident that the onset bump timescale of AT2021lfa satisfies the empirical relationships observed in GRB ***,the luminosity of AT2021lfa falls within the range of observations for GRB samples;howeve

background Extracellular vesicles(EVs) present in oviductal(OF) and uterine fluid(UF) have been shown to enhance bovine embryo quality during in vitro culture by reducing lipid contents and modulating lipid metabolism-related genes(LMGs), while also influencing cell proliferation, suggesting their involvement on the regulation of different biological pathways. The regulation of signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, and metabo-lism is crucial for early embryo development and can determine the success or failure of the pregnancy. Bioactive molecules within EVs in maternal reproductive fluids, such as micro RNAs(miRNAs), may contribute to this regulatory process as they modulate gene expression through post-transcriptional *** This study evaluated miRNA cargo in OF-EVs from the early luteal phase and UF-EVs from the mid-luteal phase, coinciding with embryo transit within oviduct and uterus in vivo, and its possible influence on LMGs and sign-aling pathways crucial for early embryo development. A total of 333 miRNAs were detected, with 11 exclusive to OF, 59 to UF, and 263 were common between both groups. From the 20 differentially expressed miRNAs, 19 up-regulated in UF-EVs(bta-miR-134, bta-miR-151-3p, bta-miR-155, bta-miR-188, bta-miR-181b, bta-miR-181d, bta-miR-224, bta-miR-23b-3p, bta-miR-24-3p, bta-miR-27a-3p, bta-miR-29a, bta-miR-324, bta-miR-326, bta-miR-345-3p, bta-miR-410, bta-miR-652, bta-miR-677, bta-miR-873 and bta-miR-708) and one(bta-miR-148b) in OF-EVs. These miRNAs were predicted to modulate several pathways such as Wnt, Hippo, MAPK, and lipid metabolism and degradation. Objective:To evaluate the effect of ureteral access sheath(UAS)use and calibration change on stone-free rate and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery(RIRS).Methods:data from 568 patients undergoing RIRS for kidney or upper ureteral stones were retrospectively ***,patients were compared after 1:1 propensity score matching,according to UAS usage during RIRS(UAS used[+]87 and UAS non-used[−]87 patients).Then all UAS+patients(n=481)were subdivided according to UAS calibration:9.5-11.5 Fr,10-12 Fr,11-13 Fr,and 13-15 *** outcomes of the study were the success and complications of ***:Stone-free rate of UAS+patients(86.2%)was significantly higher than UAS−patients(70.1%)after propensity score matching(p=0.01).Stone-free rate increased with higher caliber UAS(9.5-11.5 Fr:66.7%;10-12 Fr:87.0%;11-13 Fr:90.6%;13-15 Fr:100%;pcomplications of UAS+patients(11.5%)were significantly lower than UAS−patients(27.6%)(p=0.01).complications(8.7%)with 9.5-11.5 Fr UAS was lower than thicker UAS(17.2%)but was not statistically significant(p=0.09).UAS usage was an independent factor predicting stone-free status or peri-and post-operative complications(odds ratio[OR]3.654,95%confidence interval[cI]1.314-10.162;OR 4.443,95%cI 1.350-14.552;OR 4.107,95%cI 1.366-12.344,respectively).conclusion:Use of UAS in RIRS may increase stone-free rates,which also increase with higher caliber *** usage may reduce complications;however,complications seemingly increase with higher UAS calibration.

With the increase in antimicrobial resistance,it has become necessary to explore alternative approaches for combating and preventing ***-cinnamaldehyde(cNM)and Benzyl4-amino(B4AM)are bioactive compounds derived from chalcones but with restricted solubility in aqueous *** can enhance the solubility of compounds and can be a promising alternative in the development of novel antimicrobials,with reduced side effects and prolonged *** objective of this study was to evaluate the stability of oil-in-water nanoemulsions loaded with two distinct types of chalcones at two different dosages,to propose a stable formulation with antimicrobial *** showed that nanoemulsions presented high encapsulation efficiency,low polydispersity index(PDI)and particle size below 200 nm,indicating that emulsification was a suitable method for nanoemulsion *** with higher dosages exhibited significant antimicrobial effects when compared to free chalcones and positive ***,B4AM nanoemulsions at higher dosages showed expressive activity against Salmonella minnesota,with a 420%greater inhibitory response compared to the free form and showing equivalence to the positive *** nanoemulsions showed excellent inhibitory activity at the highest dosage,equivalent to the positive control against *** and Staphylococcus *** greater number of conjugated bonds in cNM increased the antimicrobial activity in comparison with B4AM,and the formation of nanometric domains enhanced the bioavailability,being a promising alternative for antimicrobial applications.
