Fabrication and modelling of Si_(3)N_(4)ceramics with radial grain alignment generated through centripetal sinter-forging

Silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))based ceramics are one of the most attractive advanced engineering materials,which have been widely used under high-speed rotational operation or for mechanical contacts across a curved *** the present study,rotationally symmetric texturing of Si_(3)N_(4),with radial grain align-ment,was obtained by centripetal sinter-forging(CSF)of a partially sintered *** average values of the included angles between the c-axis of the local Si_(3)N_(4)grain and radial direction were approxi-mately 16.4°and 11.0°,on the section plane perpendicular to the pressing direction,and parallel to both the pressing and radial directions,*** compressive strain in the pressing direction forced the ceramic body to flow towards the central axis,resulting in compressive strain in the tangential di-rection and tensile strain in the radial direction.A fundamental physical model was created to simulate the grain rotation during the 3-dimentional strain reorientation,which revealed the rod-like grain would preferentially rotate toward the center of the sample under the CSF *** addition,due to the fric-tion between the sample surface and the pressing punch,the increased shear strain could enhance the Si_(3)N_(4)grain ***,ceramics with rod-like grains perpendicular to the curved side sur-face could be anticipated by applying the centripetal forming concept in a controlled manner.

Interpreting hourly mass concentrations of PM_(2.5)chemical components with an optimal deep-learning model

PM_(2.5)constitutes a complex and diversemixture that significantly impacts the environment,human health,and climate ***,existing observation and numerical simulation techniques have limitations,such as a lack of data,high acquisition costs,andmultiple *** limitations hinder the acquisition of comprehensive information on PM_(2.5)chemical composition and effectively implement refined air pollution protection and control *** this study,we developed an optimal deep learning model to acquire hourly mass concentrations of key PM_(2.5)chemical components without complex chemical *** model was trained using a randomly partitioned multivariate dataset arranged in chronological order,including atmospheric state indicators,which previous studies did not *** results showed that the correlation coefficients of key chemical components were no less than 0.96,and the root mean square errors ranged from 0.20 to 2.11μg/m^(3)for the entire process(training and testing combined).The model accurately captured the temporal characteristics of key chemical components,outperforming typical machine-learning models,previous studies,and global reanalysis datasets(such asModern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2(MERRA-2)and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service ReAnalysis(CAMSRA)).We also quantified the feature importance using the random forest model,which showed that PM_(2.5),PM_(1),visibility,and temperature were the most influential variables for key chemical *** conclusion,this study presents a practical approach to accurately obtain chemical composition information that can contribute to filling missing data,improved air pollution monitoring and source *** approach has the potential to enhance air pollution control strategies and promote public health and environmental sustainability.

Nowadays,force sensors play an important role in industrial production,electronic information,medical health,and many other ***-dimensional material-based filed effect transistor(2D-FET)sensors are competitive with nano-level size,lower power consumption,and accurate ***,few of them has the capability of impulse detection which is a path function,expressing the cumulative effect of the force on the particle over a period of *** we fabricated the flexible polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)gate dielectric MoS_(2)-FET for force and impulse sensor *** systematically investigated the responses of the sensor to constant force and varying forces,and achieved the conversion factors of the drain current signals(I_(ds))to the detected impulse(I).The applied force was detected and recorded by I_(ds)with a low power consumption of~30 *** sensitivity of the device can reach~8000%and the 4×1 sensor array is able to detect and locate the normal force applied on ***,there was almost no performance loss for the device as left in the air for two months.

Assessing the data quality and seismic monitoring capabilities of the Belt and Road GNSS network

The Belt and Road global navigation satellite system(B&R GNSS)network is the first large-scale deployment of Chinese GNSS equipment in a seismic *** to this,there have been few systematic assessments of the data quality of Chinese GNSS *** this study,data from four representative GNSS sites in different regions of China were analyzed using the G-Nut/Anubis software *** main indicators(data integrity rate,data validity ratio,multi-path error,and cycle slip ratio)used to systematically analyze data quality,while evaluating the seismic monitoring capabilities of the network based on earthquake magnitudes estimated from high-frequency GNSS data are evaluated by estimating magnitude based on highfrequency GNSS *** results indicate that the quality of the data produced by the three types of Chinese receivers used in the network meets the needs of earthquake monitoring and the new seismic industry standards,which provide a reference for the selection of equipment for future new *** the B&R GNSS network was established,the seismic monitoring capability for earthquakes with magnitudes greater than M_(W)6.5 in most parts of the Sichuan-Yunnan region improved by approximately 20%.In key areas such as the Sichuan-Yunnan Rhomboid Block,the monitoring capability increased by more than 25%,which has greatly improved the effectiveness of regional comprehensive earthquake management.

Impact of net-zero emissions on atmospheric CO2 concentration in China: Ideal simulations based on the GEOS-Chem model

Elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide（CO2） concentrations have caused global climate change such as global warming and more frequent climate extremes. Countries worldwide have proposed carbon neutrality strategies to curb the rising CO2concentrations. To investigate the impact of China's carbon neutrality goal on atmospheric CO2concentrations, we conducted a series of ideal simulations from 2015 to 2019 using a global 3D chemistry transport model, Goddard Earth Observing System Chemistry（GEOS-Chem）. Compared with the column-averaged dry-air mole fraction of atmospheric CO2（XCO2） from Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2（OCO-2） and surface CO2measurements in Obs Pack, we find that GEOS-Chem effectively reproduces the spatiotemporal variability of CO2. The model exhibits a root mean square error（RMSE） of 1.51 ppm（R2=0.89） for OCO-2 XCO2in China and 2.65 ppm（R2=0.75） for surface CO2concentrations at the WLG station. Further, compared to 2.83 ppm yr-1in the control experiment, we suggest that net-zero CO2emissions in China decelerate the increasing trends of XCO2to 1.81 ppm yr-1,making a decrease of approximately 35.89%. Meanwhile, the seasonal cycle amplitude（SCA） of XCO2is moderately reduced from 7.39±0.81 to 6.75±0.70 ppm, representing a relative reduction of 9.91%. Spatially, net-zero CO2emissions induce a more significant decrease in XCO2trends over northern and southern China, while their impact on SCA is more evident in northern and northeastern China. Moreover, ideal experiments demonstrate that zero fossil CO2emissions lead to a greater attenuation of the linear trends of XCO2by 40.81%, while the absence of terrestrial CO2sinks largely diminishes the SCA by 16.61%. Additionally,trends and SCA in surface CO2concentrations exhibit almost identical decreasing responses to net-zero CO2emissions but display greater sensitivities compared to XCO2. P-arsanilic acid(AA)has received widespread attention because of its conversion to more toxic inorganic arsenic compounds(arsenate and arsenite)in the natural *** removal process and mechanisms with co-existence of microplastics remain *** this study,biochar loaded with nano zero-valent iron(nZVI)particles(ISBC)was prepared by using iron scrap obtained from a steel works and wood chips collected from a wood processing *** advanced oxidation system of sodium persulfate(PDS)activated by ISBC was applied for AA degradation and inorganic arsenic control in aqueous *** than 99%of the AA was completely degraded by the ISBC/PDS system,and the As(III)on AA was almost completely oxidized to As(V)and finally removed by ***_(3)−inhibited the removal of AA by the ISBC/PDS system,while Cl^(−)had a dual effect that showing inhibition at low concentrations yet promotion at high *** effect of microplastics on the degradation of AA by the ISBC/PDS system was further investigated due to the potential for combined microplastic and organic arsenic contamination in rural/remote *** were found to have little effect on AA degradation in the ISBC/PDS system,while affect the transport of inorganic arsenic generated from AA ***,this study provides new insights and methods for efficient removal of p-arsanilic acid from water with coexisting microplastics.

Objective: To examine the effectiveness of Chinese medicine(CM) Lianhua Qingwen Granule(LHQW) and Jingyin Gubiao Prescription(JYGB) in asymptomatic or mild patients with Omicron infection in the shelter hospital. Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted in the largest shelter hospital in Shanghai, China, from April 10, 2022 to May 30, 2022. A total of 56,244 asymptomatic and mild Omicron cases were included and divided into 4 groups, i.e., non-administration group(23,702 cases), LHQW group(11,576 cases), JYGB group(12,112 cases), and dual combination of LHQW and JYGB group(8,854 cases). The length of stay(LOS) in the hospital was used to assess the effectiveness of LHQW and JYGB treatment on Omicron infection. Results: Patients aged 41–60 years, with nadir cycle threshold(CT) value of N gene <25, or those fully vaccinated preferred to receive CM therapy. Before or after propensity score matching(PSM), the multiple linear regression showed that LHQW and JYGB treatment were independent influence factors of LOS(both P<0.001). After PSM, there were significant differences in LOS between the LHQW/JYGB combination and the other groups(P<0.01). The results of factorial design ANOVA proved that the LHQW/JYGB combination therapy synergistically shortened LOS(P=0.032). Conclusions: Patients with a nadir CT value <25were more likely to accept CM. The LHQW/JYGB combination therapy could shorten the LOS of Omicron-infected individuals in an isolated environment.
