Introduction:The purpose of this study is to examine the potential causal relationship between levels of circulating glycine and coronary artery disease(CAD)using a two-step Mendelian randomization(MR)***:We analyzed data from genome-wide association studies(GWAS)conducted on European and East Asian *** assess the causal effects of circulating glycine levels on the risk of *** used the inverse-variance weighting(IVW),weighted median(WM),MR-Egger,and Mendelian Randomization Pleiotropy RESidual Sum and Outlier(MR-PRESSO)***,we conducted mediation analysis to investigate the contribution of blood pressure and other cardiovascular disease-related ***:The two-step Mendelian randomization analysis revealed that higher levels of glycine in the blood were associated with a reduced risk of CAD in Europeans[odds ratio(OR)=0.84,95%confidence interval(CI):0.72,−0.98;P=0.029]and East Asians:(OR=0.76,95%CI:0.66,−0.89;P=3.57×10−4).Sensitivity analysis confirmed the robustness of these ***,our results suggest that about 6.06%of the observed causal effect is mediated through genetically predicted systolic blood pressure(SBP)in the European ***:Our results contribute to the current knowledge regarding the involvement of glycine in the progression of CAD,and provide valuable methodological insights for the prevention and treatment of this condition.

Innovative analysis of predictors for overall survival from systemic non-Hodgkin T cell lymphoma using quantile regression analysis

Background:Non-Hodgkin T/NK cell lymphoma is a rare and widely variable type of lymphoma with the most dismal prognosis. This study aimed to investigate varied impact of the clinical indicators to the overall survival (OS).Methods:We conducted a retrospective study to identify the non-invasive clinical features of T cell lymphoma that can predict prognosis with an innovative analysis method using quantile regression. A total of 183 patients who visited a top-tier hospital in Beijing, China, were enrolled from January 2006 to December 2015. Demographic information and main clinical indicators were collected including age, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), survival status, and international prognostic index (IPI) ***:The median age of the patients at diagnosis was 45 years. Approximately 80% of patients were at an advanced stage, and the median survival time after diagnosis was 5.1 months. Multivariable analysis of the prognostic factors for inferior OS associated with advanced clinical staging [HR=3.16, 95%CI (1.39-7.2)], lower platelet count [HR=2.57, 95%CI (1.57-4.19), P<0.001] and higher IPI score [HR=1.29, 95%CI (1.01-1.66), P=0.043]. Meanwhile, T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma [HR=0.40, 95%CI (0.20-0.80), P=0.010], higher white blood cell counts [HR=0.57, 95%CI (0.34-0.96), P=0.033], higher serum albumin level [HR=0.6, 95%CI (0.37-0.97), P=0.039], and higher ESR [HR=0.53, 95%CI (0.33-0.87), P=0.011] were protective factors for OS when stratified by hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Multivariable quantile regression between the OS rate and each predictor at quartiles 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 0.95 showed that the coefficients of serum β2-microglobulin level and serum ESR were statistically significant in the middle of the coefficient curve (quartile 0.25-0.75). Impact of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease on the efficacy of immunotherapy in patients with chronic hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma

Objective: To investigate the impact of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD) on the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitor(ICI)-based therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods: A total of 155 patients with CHB-related HCC who received ICI±based therapy(in the Department of Hepatology, Tianjin Second People's Hospital and Department of Hepatobiliary Oncology, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital) between April 2021 and December 2023 were *** were divided into two groups: MASLD concurrent with CHB [MASLD-CHB](n = 38), and CHB(n = 117).Results: The median progression-free survival(PFS, 6.9 months vs.9.3 months; P = 0.001), progressive disease(57.89% vs.37.61%; P = 0.028), and disease control rate(42.11% vs.62.39%; P = 0.028) in the MASLD-CHB group were significantly worse than the CHB *** median overall survival was not *** percentage of CD4+PD1+(17.56% vs.8.89%; P < 0.001) and CD8+PD1+ T cells(10.50% vs.7.42%; P = 0.005) in patient samples from the MASLD-CHB group were significantly higher than the CHB *** MASLD [hazard ratio(HR) = 1.921; 95% CI, 1.138±3.245; P = 0.015] and alpha-fetoprotein levels after 3 months of treatment(HR = 2.412; 95% CI, 1.360±4.279; P = 0.003) were independent risk factors for PFS in all ***: ICI-based therapy in patients with CHB-related HCC and concurrent MASLD resulted in poorer efficacy and shorter PFS compared to patients with CHB-related HCC alone.

[目的]探讨3D打印导板辅助跟骨截骨术治疗Haglund综合征的临床疗效。[方法]回顾性分析本院2021年1月—2022年6月收治的37例Haglund综合征患者的临床资料，根据医患沟通结果，17例采用3D打印导板辅助跟骨截骨术（导板组），20例在徒手方式下行跟骨截骨术（徒手组）。比较两组临床及影像结果。[结果]导板组手术时间[(42.8±4.1) min vs (50.2±4.2) min, P0.05）。所有患者均获平均（18.3±7.5）个月随访。与术前相比，末次随访时，两组VAS评分、AOFAS评分显著改善（P0.05），末次随访时，导板组的FPA显著大于徒手组[(65.6±1.9)°vs (61.8±4.9)°, P<0.005]。[结论]与传统徒手跟骨截骨术相比，3D打印导板辅助的跟骨截骨术治疗Haglund综合征患者治疗效果更佳，可提高手术精度，减少手术损伤。

Experiments and simulation on the overall DMG of long-haul cascade FM-EDFA systems

All-fiber few-mode erbium-doped fiber amplifiers(FM-EDFAs) with isolation and wavelength division multiplexers(IWDMs)have been developed to enable flexible pumping in different directions. The FM-EDFA can achieve >30 d B modal gain withdal gain(DMG). We experimentally simulate the DMG performance of a cascade FM-EDFA system using the equivalent spectrum method. The overall DMG reaches 1.84 d B after 10-stage amplification. We also build a recirculating loop to simulate the system, and the developed FM-EDFA can support transmission up to 3270 km within a 2 d B overall DMG by optimizing the few-mode fiber length in the loop.

A Real-time Prediction System for Molecular-level Information of Heavy Oil Based on Machine Learning

Acquiring accurate molecular-level information about petroleum is crucial for refining and chemical enterprises to implement the“selection of the optimal processing route”*** the development of data prediction systems represented by machine learning,it has become possible for real-time prediction systems of petroleum fraction molecular information to replace analyses such as gas chromatography and mass ***,the biggest difficulty lies in acquiring the data required for training the neural *** address these issues,this work proposes an innovative method that utilizes the Aspen HYSYS and full two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry to establish a comprehensive training ***,a deep neural network prediction model is developed for heavy distillate oil to predict its composition in terms of molecular *** training,the model accurately predicts the molecular composition of catalytically cracked raw oil in a *** validation and test sets exhibit R2 values of 0.99769 and 0.99807,respectively,and the average relative error of molecular composition prediction for raw materials of the catalytic cracking unit is less than 7%.Finally,the SHAP(SHapley Additive ExPlanation)interpretation method is used to disclose the relationship among different variables by performing global and local weight comparisons and correlation analyses.

Epidemiological and Subtype Characterization of Influenza Viruses Infection in Children in Shenzhen, China during Three Consecutive Seasons (January 2016-December 2018)

Background: Children with seasonal influenza infection cause a significant burden of disease each year in the pediatric clinic. Influenza A and B viruses are the major types responsible for illness. A better understanding of the periodicity facilitates the prevention and control of influenza in children. Objective: This study aims to analyze the epidemiological patterns and subtype characterization of influenza viruses among children in Shenzhen, China. Methods: Influenza samples were collected by nasopharyngeal swabs from influenza like illness patients in Shenzhen Children’s Hospital from January 2016 to December 2018. The positive cases and influenza subtypes were determined by gold labeled antigen detection and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. The influenza periodicity and age, subtype distribution as well as the association between climate parameters and different influenza subtypes were analyzed by SPSS 22.0. Results: The influenza positive rate during 2016-2018 was 21.0%, with a highest positive rate in the year 2018. The positive rate varied by month, season, and year describing a sequence of peaks presenting primarily in all year including spring, summer and winter. The characteristics of influenza peak were different in each year, with a spring peak in 2016 and a summer plus a winter-spring peaks in 2017 and 2018. In addition, influenza B exhibited a winter-spring seasonal pattern while influenza A displayed a more variable seasonality, highlighting influenza B rather than influenza A which had a negative association with climate parameters. Influenza-positive cases were older than influenza-negative cases (P P Conclusion: Influenza activity in children from Shenzhen typically displays both winter-spring and summer peaks.
