Theory predicts that cosexual plants should adjust their resource investment in male and female functions according to their size if female and male fitness are differentially affected by size. However, few empirical studies have been carried out at both the flowering and fruiting stages to adequately address size-dependent sex allocation in cosexual plants. In this paper, we investigated resource investment between female and male reproduction, and their size-dependence in a perennial andromonoecious herb, Veratrum nigrum L. We sampled 192 flowering plants, estimated their standardized phenotypic gender, and assessed the resource investment in male and female functions in terms of absolute dry biomass. At the flowering stage, male investment increased with plant size more rapidly than female investment, and the standardized phenotypic femaleness （ranging from 0.267 to 0.776） was negatively correlated with plant size. By contrast, female biased allocation was found at the fruiting stage, although both flower biomass and fruit biomass were positively correlated with plant size. We propose that increased maleness with plant size at the flowering stage may represent an adaptive strategy for andromonoecious plants, because male flowers promote both male and female fertility by increasing pollinator attraction without aggravating pollen discounting.

针对农田测坑作物需水量测定方式落后、效率低下,无普适性自动测量仪器的现状,设计开发了一种高精度测坑作物需水量(腾发量)自动测量系统。系统基于测针每日整点自动下行测量水位的原理,采用主机与传感器分离式结构设计,设计了入水检测电路,解决了测针极化、水体电导率变化可能引起的测量误差,应用楔形设计免维护消隙螺杆,为传感器长时间稳定运行提供了保障。经试验,系统测量分辨率为0.01 mm,100 mm量程范围内测量误差≤0.01 mm,走时精度误差≤±1 min/月。系统在试验基地大型综合测坑进行了应用,长时间运行稳定、可靠,具有较好的推广应用价值。

细致剖析德国地理学家李特尔（1779—1859）代表作《地学通论》，可以认识到“丝绸之路”是由这位近代地理学之父缜密设计而创造的概念，而这一概念的发明与当时欧洲对中国边疆的认知密切相关。对《地学通论》第一版（1817—1818）内容的分析显示，李特尔充分铺垫了丝绸之路概念的文献基础；点明欧亚两洲间环环相扣的联系特征作为丝绸之路概念理论根源；描述古代中国边疆“通道之地”作为丝绸之路概念经验知识来源；由中国边疆“通道之地”引出“印度商人之路”“赛里斯之路”与“中华之路”三条路线，构成了“丝绸之路”概念的原型。

《腾冲契约文书资料整理与汇编》所录契约中有不少音借字,文章考辨了这套书所录清代滇西腾冲契约文书里出现的五十多条音借字,进而讨论了音借字反映出的五条方音现象:“详”字声母读送气塞擦音,古船禅母字与心邪母字声母读音接近,齐撮相混,阳声韵尾相混,古入声字塞音韵尾消失。对音借字的考辨可以为这批契约文书的解读、研究以及进一步的校释提供借鉴,音借字透露出的方音信息对于滇西片西南官话的研究和云南汉语方言史的研究也有一定参考价值。

1860年代以前,在华英人曾就汉字“夷”字与barbarian是否构成对等关系,发生过长达半个世纪的“译名之争”。支持者与反对者分别用中国经典文献诠释“夷”字的古今含义和实际用法,以实现各自的论证目的。第一次鸦片战争前,英国主战派以二者的对等关系构建“国耻叙事”,其根本目的是促动英国政府对华使用武力。第二次鸦片战争前,在华英国官员、汉学家旨在破除华夷观,以实现大英帝国与天朝中国之平行的长期追求。汉学爱好者汤姆斯否定二者的对等关系,主张以鸦片战争前的旧制与中国往来,从而维系中英关系的稳固发展。“译名之争”看似围绕于“夷”字与barbarian的对译关系,而其症结在于英国要重新定位百年以来的中英关系。

CK-Modes Clustering Algorithm Based on Node Cohesion in Labeled Property Graph

The designation of the cluster number K and the initial centroids is essential for K-modes clustering algorithm. However, most of the improved methods based on K-modes specify the K value manually and generate the initial centroids randomly, which makes the clustering algorithm significantly dependent on human-based decisions and unstable on the iteration time. To overcome this limitation, we propose a cohesive K-modes (CK-modes) algorithm to generate the cluster number K and the initial centroids automatically. Explicitly, we construct a labeled property graph based on index-free adjacency to capture both global and local cohesion of the node in the sample of the input datasets. The cohesive node calculated based on the property similarity is exploited to split the graph to a K-node tree that determines the K value, and then the initial centroids are selected from the split subtrees. Since the property graph construction and the cohesion calculation are only performed once, they account for a small amount of execution time of the clustering operation with multiple iterations, but significantly accelerate the clustering convergence. Experimental validation in both real-world and synthetic datasets shows that the CK-modes algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms.
