Reverse modulation of defect density of Ce-MOF-808 by solventassisted ligand exchange for dicyclopentadiene hydrogenation

Defect engineering is a pivotal strategy for tailoring the electronic structure and physicochemical properties of catalysts, yet the straightforward manipulation of defect density in porous materials presents a current challenge. In this work, we achieved precise control over the coordination unsaturated site（CUS） content and pore architecture of Ce-MOF-808 by employing 2-fluorobenzoic acid（2-FBA） as a modifier. Leveraging the p Kadisparities among three ligands（1,3,5-tricarboxylic benzoic acid,formic acid, and 2-FBA）, we preserved the spn topology of Ce-MOF within an aqueous system, while realizing partial substitution of the auxiliary ligands and saturation of the CUS. The amount of 2-FBA was negatively correlated with the number of ligand defects, and the consequent decrease in Ce3+content and the increase in the number of ligand linkages also induced crystal structure transformation. The modulation of the defect structure was correlated with the catalytic performance of dicyclopentadiene（DCPD） hydrogenation reaction, in which Ce-MMF0.15, constructed by the modulation of 0.15 mol amount of 2-fluorobenzoic acid, exhibited an optimal ligand defect density and micro-mesoporous structure, enabling almost complete conversion of DCPD at 100 ℃ and 2 MPa. This article also elucidates the correlation between the regulation of defect density and the accessibility of frustrated Lewis pair（FLP） active sites, guiding the application of novel porous intrinsic FLP materials in hydrogenation catalysis.

Adsorption Behavior of CH2 and CH3 on Metal Clusters CUn （n=1-6）

Using density functional theory with generalized gradient approximation and hybrid functional, we studied the properties of energy, charge population, and vibration of CH2 and CH3 adsorbed on Cun （n=1-6） clusters. The results show that the DFT calculation with the hybrid functional matches the experimental results better in both cases. The calculation results indicate that the adsorption of CH2 is stronger than that of CH3. During adsorption, the charges transfer from Cu to CH2 or CH3. The obtained vibrational frequencies for different modes of CH2 and CH3 adsorbed on Cun agree well with the experimental results for the adsorption on Cu（111） surface.

Hydrogen Bond Effect in Nonlinear Optical Properties of Azobenzene Derivatives

Three kinds of 4-hydroxyl azobenzene compouds with different substituents varied as -NO2, -H, -OCH3 in the para-position were synthesized and characterized. Their nonlinear optical properties in tetrahydrofuran (THF) and chloroform (CHCl3) solution were determined using Z-scan technique. The results revealed that the nonlinear absorption (β) and nonlinear refraction (γ) values of three azobenzene compounds in THF solution were larger than those in CHCl3 solution. It was mainly due to the regular arrangement and effective π-conjugation of azobenzene molecules caused by the formation of hydrogen bonds between the hydroxyl groups of azobenzene molecules and the oxygen atom of the THF molecules. Among three kinds of azobenzene compounds, the 4-nitro-4′-hydroxyazobenzene (NAzoOH) had the largest coefficients of β and γ values in both THF and CHCl3 solution. It was mainly because that a push-pull (D-π-A) electron system was formed by the electron withdrawing nitro-substituent with electron donating hydroxyl-group in both extremities of azobenzene, resulting in a higher electron delocalization.

Analysis of Urban Expansion and Driving Forces in Xuzhou City Based on Remote Sensing

Based on satellite remote sensing TM/ETM+ images of Xuzhou city,land use forms of the city in 1987,1994 and 2000 were extracted by using a neural network classification method. The expansion contribution rate and annual expansion intensity index of each administrative district have been calculated and the contribution rate matrices and spatial distribution maps of land use changes were obtained. Based on the above analysis,the characteristics of urban expansion from 1987 to 2000 have been explored. From 1987 to 1994,the expansion contribution rate of Quanshan dis-trict reached 46.80%,the highest in all administrative districts of Xuzhou city; Tongshan town was in a high-speed ex-pansion period; both Quanshan and Yunlong districts were experiencing fast-speed expansion periods while the entire city was expanding at a medium-speed with an annual expansion intensity index of 0.98; the city spread eastwards and southwards. From 1994 to 2000,the expansion contribution rate of Quanshan district reached 43.67%,the highest in Xuzhou; the entire city was in a medium-speed expansion period with an annual expansion intensity index of 1.04; the city has rapidly been extended towards the southeast. According to the contribution rate matrices of land use changes,urban expansion mainly usurps cropland and woodland. A quantitative analysis found that population growth,indus-trialization and economic development are the primary driving forces behind urban expansion.

Analysis of Spatio-Temporal Changes of Land Usein Xuzhou City Based on Remote Sensing

Based on the satellite remote sensing TM/ETM images of Xuzhou city, basic data about land use of the city from 1994 to 2000 are obtained with the neural network classification module of PCI software, and the dynamic con- version matrix of land use is thus calculated. The areas of construction land and water body have increased by 1833.93 hm2 and 804.87 hm2, respectively. On the contrary, the area of cropland has decreased by 3207.24 hm2. The area of cropland converted into construction land makes up 26.84%, and that converted into water body amounts for 8.17% of the total area of cropland in 1994. The variation index of land use degree and the dynamic degree index of land use computed are 1.38 and 57.81%, respectively, which demonstrate that land use in Xuzhou is in a development period and the changes are drastic. The frequency index and importance index of the form in which cropland converted into con- struction land are 29.91% and 68.93% respectively. The results indicate that the change is not only widespread in space but a major form of spatial change of land use in the area.
