Large-eddy simulation of shock-wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction with and without Spark Jet control

The efficiency and mechanism of an active control device ＂＇Spark Jet＂ and its application in shock-induced separation control are studied using large-eddy simulation in this paper. The base flow is the interaction of an oblique shock-wave generated by 8° wedge and a spatially-developing Ma = 2.3 turbulent boundary layer. The Reynolds number based on the incoming flow property and the boundary layer displacement thickness at the impinging point without shock-wave is 20000. The detailed numerical approaches were presented. The inflow turbulence was generated using the digital filter method to avoid artificial temporal or streamwise periodicity. The , merical results including velocity profile, Reynolds stress profile, skin friction, and wall pressure were sys- tematically validated against the available wind tunnel particle image velocimetry （PIV） measure- ments of the same flow condition. Further study on the control of flow separation due to the strong shock-viscous interaction using an active control actuator ＂＇Spark Jet＇＂ was conducted. The single-pulsed characteristic of the device was obtained and compared with the experiment. Both instantaneous and time-averaged flow fields have shown that the jet flow issuing from the actuator cavity enhances the flow mixing inside the boundary layer, making the boundary layer more resis- tant to flow separation. Skin friction coefficient distribution shows that the separation bubble length is reduced by about 35% with control exerted.

The significant occupancy of {411}〈148〉texture exists in the thin-gauge grain-oriented silicon steel(TGCRGO is defined that thickness of the sheet is〈0.25 mm and the reduction in cold rolling is more than 90%) which has been considered to have obviously effects on the abnormal growth of Goss-oriented grains during the secondary recrystallization process. The microstructures of the TG-CRGO were investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron back-scattered diffraction in this study. It was found that {411}〈148〉〉texture mainly exists in the center layer of hot-rolled as well as normalized *** the increase in cold rolling reduction, {411}〈148〉 orientation gradually rotates to a-fiber texture(〈110〉//RD).Finally, few {411}〈148〉would retain at the boundaries of deformed a-fiber grains(〈110〉//RD) as the reduction in cold rolling reaches 90%. After annealing treatment, a small amount of c-fiber textures(〈111〉//ND) preferably nucleates and recrystallizes between the DBs(deformation bands) at first; then, the {411}〈148〉 recrystallization texture occurs and mainly nucleates at the grains boundaries of the deformed a-fiber grains, and also quite a few {411}〈148〉orientation grains nucleate in the inner of {112}〈110〉grains. But this phenomenon was not observed in the {100}〈011〉deformation *** respect to the occurrence of {411}〈148〉recrystallization texture, it is mainly induced by strong a-fiber as well as weak c-fiber textures formed during cold rolling other than originating from {411}〈148〉 regions in hot bands.

BACKGROUND The inflammatory response caused by the NLRP3 is closely related to the formation of myocardial ischemiareperfusion *** receptor CD137 and its ligand play a crucial role in regulating the inflammatory immune response in atherosclerosis,which is the fundamental cause of cardiovascular ***,the roles of CD137 signaling in the process of myocardial ischaemia-reperfusion(IR)injury remain *** Genetic ablation was used to determine the functional significance of CD137 in myocardial IR *** of CD137 was examined by Western-blot,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,and immunohistochemistry in a murine IR model by coronary artery ***’s blue-TTC staining and echocardiography to evaluate the severity of myocardial IR ***,HL-1 cardiomyocytes treated with agonist-CD137 recombinant protein were used to explore the underlying mechanism in CD137 signaling-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation in response to hypoxia/reoxygenation or LPS/*** We demonstrated that CD137 knockout significantly improved cardiac function,accompanied by a markedly reduced NLRP3-mediated inflammatory response and IA/AAR which were reversed by mitophagy inhibitor *** CD137 signaling significantly inhibited mitophagy and provoked NLRP3-mediated inflammatory response in H/R-injured or LPS-primed and ATP-stimulated HL-1 cardiomyocytes,the effects of which could be abolished by either anti-CD137 or mitophagy activator ***,mitochondrial ROS was augmented by activating CD137 signaling through the suppression of *** Our results reveal that activating CD137 signaling aggravates myocardial IR injury by upregulating NLRP3 inflammasome activation via suppressing mitophagy and promoting mtROS generation.

A highly c-axis-oriented aluminum nitride(Al N)thin film with smooth and crack-free surface was fabricated by an off-normal direct current(DC)sputtering method in a pure nitrogen atmosphere,in which the rotatable substrate holder positioned in the middle of four side targets was a key approach to guarantee the grain growth with no *** detailed effects of substrate angle on the c-axis orientation of Al N films were investigated by varying the substrate angle from 0°to 90°.Moreover,theoretical analysis and Monte Carlo(MC)simulation reveal that the oblique or even vertical angle could improve the lateral kinetic energy of sputtered atoms deposited on the growing film.A variety of examining techniques including X-ray diffraction(XRD),(002)peak rocking curve,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were conducted to evaluate the angle dependence on the crystallographic *** test results indicate that larger substrate angle is beneficial to the(002)growth of Al N thin film,and a fully c-axis textured Al N thin film is obtained at 90°with small surface roughness(R_(a))of 3.32 nm.

Background: There are few reports on the comparative medical characteristics of type 2 diabetes models in late stage. An analysis of comparative medical characteristics of Zucker diabetic fatty type 2 diabetes mellitus(ZDF-T2DM) rats during the course of development to late stage disease was ***: In this study, ZDF rats were fed with high-sugar and high-fat diets to raise the fasting blood glucose, and develop of type 2 diabetes. At the late stage of T2DM, the preliminary comparative medical characteristics of the T2DM model were analyzed through the detection of clinical indicators, histopathology, related cytokine levels, and insulin-related signaling molecule expression ***: In the T2DM group, the fasting blood glucose was higher than 6.8 mmol/L,the serum insulin, leptin, and adiponectin levels were significantly decreased, and glucose intolerance and insulin resistance were measured as clinical indicators. Regarding pathological indicators, a large number of pancreatic islet cells showed the reduction of insulin secretion, resulting in damaged glycogen synthesis and liver steatosis. At the molecular level, the insulin signal transduction pathway was inhibited by decreasing the insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1), insulin receptor substrate 2(IRS2), phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K), and glycogen synthesis kinase 3β(GSK-3β) expression ***: The results show that the ZDF/T2DM rats have typical clinical,histopathological, and molecular characteristics of human T2DM and thus can be used as an effective model for T2DM drug development and treatment of advanced T2DM.

BACKGROUND Pathological manifestations of hepatic tumours are often associated with prognosis. Although surgical specimens(SS) can provide more information,currently, pre-treatment needle core biopsy(NCB) is increasingly showing important value in understanding the nature of liver tumors and even in diagnosis and treatment decisions. However, the concordance of the clinicopathological characteristics and immunohistochemical(IHC) staining between NCB and SS from patients with hepatic tumours were less *** To introduce a more accurate method for interpreting the IHC staining results in order to improve the diagnostic value of hepatic malignancy in NCB *** A total of 208 patients who underwent both preoperative NCB and surgical resection for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) or intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomaRESULTS Morphologically, the presence of compact tumour nests or a cord-like structure in NCB was considered the primary cause of misdiagnosis of HCC from ICC. The kappa statistic showed a moderate agreement in histomorphology(k = 0.504) and histological grade(k = 0.488) between NCB and SS of the tumours. A 4-tier(+++,++, +, and-) scoring scheme that emphasized the focal neoplastic cell immunoreactivity of tumour cells revealed perfect concordance of CK19, GPC3 and HepPar1 between NCB and SS(k = 0.717; k = 0.768; k = 0.633). Furthermore,with the aid of a binary classification derived from the 4-tier score, a high concordance was achieved in interpreting the IHC staining of the three markers between NCB and final SS(k = 0.931; k = 0.907; k = 0.803), increasing the accuracy of NCB diagnosis C(k = 0.987; area under the curve = 0.997, 95%CI: 0.990-1.000; Plified binary classification provides an easy and applicable approach.

The influence of gas high-temperature hot corrosion(HTHC) pre-exposure on low-cycle fatigue(LCF)behavior was characterized for the directionally solidified(DS) Ni-based superalloy DZ125. Fatigue tests were carried out at 850 ℃ in the pre-exposed and unexposed specimens for 2, 15 and 25 h. Experimental results show that the porous corrosion scale and γ′-depleted layer formed in gas hot corrosion condition alter the crack initiation mechanisms of the superalloy. Fatigue cracks of the pre-exposed specimens originate from multiple surface locations where spalling of the corrosion products occur,while nucleation of unexposed specimen begins in the defects close to the surface. There is a significant reduction in LCF behavior for pre-exposed specimens in comparison with unexposed specimens.

Germanium(Ge), an alloy-type anode material for lithium-ion batteries(liBs), possesses many advantages such as high theoretical capacity and decent electrical conductivity. Nevertheless, its application is restricted by tremendous volume variation and tardy reaction kinetic during discharge/charge *** this paper, the Ge/3DPG composites with Ge nanoparticles uniformly dispersed in 3D interconnected porous graphene(3DPG) skeleton are successfully prepared using a template-assisted in-situ reduction method. The unique 3D interconnected porous graphene can not only enhance the electronic conductivity and reaction kinetics of the materials, but also provide sufficient buffer space to effectively mitigate the volume expansion during cycling and strengthen the structural integrity. Moreover, the small-sized Ge nanoparticles in close conjunction with the 3D graphene can boost the surface-controlled reaction of the electrode, which contributes to a fast charge–discharge rate capability. The Ge/3DPG composite with optimized Ge/graphene mass ratio delivers high reversible specific capacity(1102 mAh g^(-1) after 100 cycles at 0.2 C), outstanding rate capability(494 mAh g^(-1) at 5 C), and admirable cycling stability(85.3% of capacity retention after 250 cycles at 0.5 C). This work provides a significant inspiration for the design and fabrication of advanced Ge-based anode materials for next-generation highperformance liBs.
