Imbalance of Circulating Follicular Regulatory and Follicular Helper T Cell Subpopulations Is Associated with Disease Progression and Serum CYFRA 21-1 Levels in Patients with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Theoretical Exploration of Alloying Effects on Stabilities and Mechanical Properties ofγʹPhase in Novel Co–Al–Nb-Base Superalloys

The new developedγ/γʹCo–Al–Nb-base alloys show great potentials as high-temperature ***,finding appropriate compositions to improve performance of alloys still poses a great challenge to the development of Co–Al–Nb-base *** by the lack of alloying effects on fundamental properties of criticalγʹphase,we systematically performed a theoretical investigation on the effect of alloying elements TM(TM:Ti,V,Cr,Zr,Mo,Ta,W,Re,and Ru)on phase stabilities and mechanical properties of L1_(2)-typeγʹ(Co,Ni)_(3)(Al,Nb).By analyzing the stability ofγʹphase with respect to its competitive B2 and D0_(19) phases,the results shown that Ti,V,and Cr enhance the L1_(2) stability and widen the L1_(2)–D0_(19) energy barrier,in which V yields the maximum *** analysis of electronic structure indicated that the alternation of valence electrons at fermi level would be the atomic origin for doping TM inγʹ*** calculated results of mechanical properties shown that V and Cr are expected to be optimal dopant for enhancing the strength and the ductility ofγʹ*** addition of Ta is also beneficial for enhancing the strength at the slight expense of ductility ofγʹ*** drawing the mechanical maps,the preferred composition range for the phases with desired properties is roughly demarcated in theory for the multi-addition of V/Cr and V/Ta inγʹ*** findings would be useful for optimizing the performance of novelγ/γʹCo–Al–Nb-base superalloys.

X-ray detection is crucial across various sectors,but traditional techniques face challenges such as inefficient data transmission,redundant sensing,high power consumption,and *** innovative idea of a retinomorphic X-ray detector shows great ***,its implementation has been hindered by the absence of active layers capable of both detecting X-rays and serving as memory *** response to this critical gap,our study integrates hybrid perovskite with hydrion-conductive organic cations to develop a groundbreaking retinomorphic X-ray *** novel device stands at the nexus of technological innovation,utilizing X-ray detection,memory,and preprocessing capabilities within a single hardware *** core mechanism underlying this innovation lies in the transport of electrons and holes within the metal halide octahedral frameworks,enabling precise X-ray ***,the hydrion movement through organic cations endows the device with short-term resistive memory,facilitating rapid data processing and ***,our retinomorphic X-ray detector boasts an array of formidable features,including reconfigurable shortterm memory,a linear response curve,and an extended retention *** practical terms,this translates into the efficient capture of motion projections with minimal redundant data,achieving a compression ratio of 18.06%and an impressive recognition accuracy of up to 98.6%.In essence,our prototype represents a paradigm shift in X-ray detection *** its transformative capabilities,this retinomorphic hardware is poised to revolutionize the existing X-ray detection landscape.

Two allyldimethylalkyl quaternary ammonium salt(AQAS)monomers,N,N-dimethylallylphenylpropylammonium bromide(AQAS1)and N,N-dimethylallylnonylammonium bromide(AQAS2),were synthesized and used to prepare modified polyacrylamide *** new drag reducers were synthesized from acrylamide(AM),sodium acrylate(Na AA)and a cationic modified monomer(AQAS1 or AQAS2)via aqueous solution polymerization,and the copolymers were named P(AM/Na AA/AQAS1)and P(AM/Na AA/AQAS2),*** structures of the drag reduction agents were confirmed by IR and1H NMR *** molecular weight(Mw)of P(AM/Na AA/AQAS1)was 1.79×10^(6)g/*** the copolymer concentration was 1000 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min,in fresh water the highest drag reduction rate was 75.8%,in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate decreased to 72.9%.The molecular weight of P(AM/Na AA/AQAS2)was 3.17×10^(6)g/*** the copolymer concentration was500 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min,the drag reduction rate reached 75.2%,and in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate was 73.3%,decreased by approximately 1.9%.The drag reduction rate for partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM)was also investigated,and the results showed that the drag reduction rates for 500 and 1000 mg/L HPAM solutions were merely 43.2%and 49.0%in brine,*** with HPAM,both of the above copolymers presented better drag reduction capacities.

For cirrhotic refractory ascites,diuretics combined with albumin and vasoactive drugs are the first-line choice for ascites ***,their therapeutic effects are limited,and most refractory ascites do not respond to medication treat-ment,necessitating consideration of drainage or surgical ***-sequently,numerous drainage methods for cirrhotic ascites have emerged,including large-volume paracentesis,transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt,peritoneovenous shunt,automated low-flow ascites pump,cell-free and concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy,and peritoneal catheter *** review introduces the advantages and disadvantages of these methods in different aspects,as well as indications and contraindications for this disease.

Identifying the origin of porous evolution of microsized bismuth in potassium-ion batteries

Microsized bismuth(Bi)with in-situ constructed three-dimensional(3D)porous network has been considered as a promising anode for high-performance potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).However,the mechanism of the in-situ porous evolution of microsized Bi during the charge/discharge process is still ***,various electrolytes are employed to disclose the origin of porous evolution of microsized Bi in *** and theoretically,the 3D porous network originates from the uniform interfacial charge distribution on the Bi surface in the linear ether-based *** addition,the universality of the interfacial charge distribution mechanism was verified by microsized Sn and *** in-situ constructed 3D porous network of Bi enables a superior potassium storage performance in a wide temperature range from-40 to 40℃.More importantly,the K_(0.9)Mn_(0.7)Ni_(0.3)O_(2)||Bi full cell delivers excellent cycling stability(a high capacity retention of 88.44%even after 2,000 cycles)and good temperature *** work gives a distinct clarification of the origin of the porous evolution of microsized Bi during cycling,which is critical for developing high-performance PIBs.

Effective mineralization of biological structures poses a significant challenge in hard tissue engineering as it necessitates overcoming geometric complexities and multistep biomineralization *** this regard,we propose“mineral-in-shell nanoarchitectonics”,inspired by the nanostructure of matrix vesicles,which can influence multiple mineralization *** nanostructural design empowers mineral precursors with tailorable properties through encapsulating amorphous calcium phosphate within a multifunctional tannic acid(TA)and silk fibroin(SF)*** bioinspired nanosystem facilitates efficient recruitment of mineral precursors throughout the dentin structures,followed by large-scale intradentinal mineralization both in vitro and in vivo,which provides persistent protection against external *** simulations combined with experimental studies attribute the success of intradentinal mineralization to the TA-SF nanoshell,which exhibits a strong affinity for the dentin structure,stabilizing amorphous precursors and thereby facilitating concomitant mineral ***,this bioinspired mineral-in-shell nanoarchitectonics shows a promising prospect for hard tissue repair and serves as a blueprint for next-generation biomineralization-associated materials.

Baicalin Prevents Colon Cancer by Suppressing CDKN2A Protein Expression

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effects and underlying mechanism of baicalin against colon ***:The effects of baicalin on the proliferation and growth of colon cancer cells MC38 and *** were observed and predicted potential molecular targets of baicalin for colon cancer therapy were studied by network ***,molecular docking and drug affinity responsive target stability（daRTS）analysis were performed to confirm the interaction between potential targets and ***,the mechanisms predicted by in silico analyses were experimentally verified in-vitro and ***:Baicalin significantly inhibited proliferation,invasion,migration,and induced apoptosis in MC38 and CT26 cells（all PdaRTS predicted the potential binding of baicalin with cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2A（CDKN2A）,protein kinase B（AKT）,caspase 3,and mitogen-activated protein kinase（MAPK）.In vitro,the expressions of CDKN2A,MAPK,and p-AKT were suppressed by baicalin in MC38 and CT26 *** vivo,baicalin significantly reduced the tumor size and weight（all P<0.01） in the colon cancer mouse model via inactivating p-AKT,CDKN2A,cyclin dependent kinase 4,cyclin dependent kinase 2,interleukin-1,tumor necrosis factor α,and activating caspase 3 and mouse double minute 2 homolog signaling（all P<0.05）.Conclusion:Baicalin suppressed the CDKN2A protein level to prevent colon cancer and could be used as a therapeutic target for colon cancer.

Acute primary angle closure during the Omicron outbreak

AIM:To investigate Omicron’s impact on clinical presentation of acute primary angle closure(APAC)in ***:A consecutive case series with historical controls was conducted at Shenzhen Eye Hospital,the largest specialized hospital in Shenzhen,*** records from a two-month period during the Omicron pandemic(December 1,2022,to January 31,2023)were compared with records from two control groups(12/2018–1/2019 and 12/2021–1/2022)before *** with APAC were included,and the prevalence of APAC and demographic characteristics in Omicron-infected and noninfected patients were ***:Seventy-one(23.43%)out of 303 patients were diagnosed with APAC in the pandemic cohort,which was 2.98 and 2.61 times higher than that in control cohorts(7.87%in 2019,8.96%in 2022,P<0.001).The pandemic cohort has significantly higher Omicron-infected rate(78.87%vs 0 vs 0;P<0.001),lower proportion of glaucoma history(16.90%vs 42.86%vs 41.67%,P=0.005),higher surgical rate(95.77%vs 83.33%vs 78.57%,P=0.024),higher total medical costs and larger pupil diameter(5.63±0.15 vs 4.68±0.15 vs 4.69±0.22 mm,P<0.01).In 83%Omicron-infected patients,ocular symptoms appeared within 3d after systemic symptoms *** multivariate analysis,Omicron infection(P<0.001)was the only independent predictor of pupil ***:In the Omicron epidemic in China,there is an increase of prevalence and severity of APAC,particularly focusing on the first 3d following infection.
