Constipation is common in the diseases of the digestive system in clinics.With the change in diet structure and the increase in life pressure,the prevalence rate increases year by year.In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),the location of the disease of constipation is in the large intestine,which is related to the dysfunction of lung,spleen,liver,kidney and other viscera.Its pathogenesis is conductive dysfunction of large intestine.Based on the theory,Shouhui Tongbian Capsule(SHTB)is composed of eight traditional Chinese medicines,including Polygoni multiflori Radix(Heshouwu in Chinese),Aloe(Luhui in Chinese),Cassiae Semen(Juemingzi in Chinese),Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma(Renshen in Chinese),Lycii Fructus(Gouqizi in Chinese),Asini Corii Colla(Ejiao in Chinese),Aurantii Fructus Immaturus(Zhishi in Chinese),and Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma(Baizhu in Chinese),which could help to release excessive turbid,and nourishing yin and supplementing qi in the treatment.This study has been carried out to review the latest advances of SHTB in the treatment of constipation.The results showed that significant effect of SHTB was found in the treatment of constipation,such as functional constipation,and constipation associated with tumor chemotherapy,colitis,type 2 diabetes and chronic cardiac failure.Besides,obvious adverse reactions were not observed.SHTB could effectively treat five types of constipation,provide direction for the future exploration of SHTB in the treatment of other types of constipation。

Study on a semi-resolved CFD-DEM method for rod-like particles in a gas-solid fluidized bed

Based on a semi-resolved CFD-DEM coupling method,this study proposed a method that uses the minimum distance between the fluid grid and the particle boundary as a reference value to determine the degree of influence of the target fluid grid on the particle's drag force.A fluidized bed of rod-like particles was chosen as a typical case to investigate the effect of different fluid grid scales on various fluidized bed characteristic parameters.The calculation performance of the semi-resolved and unre-solved CFD-DEM coupling algorithm on key fluidized bed characteristic parameters such as average pressure drop,particle frequency distribution with bed height,and particle orientation distribution were compared.It was found that the semi-resolved CFD-DEM coupling algorithm gradually obtained results with higher consistency with decreasing fluid grid scale for key parameters such as particle frequency distribution with bed height,particle orientation distribution,and time-history mixing index,exhibiting a phenomenon similar to grid independence in fluid simulation.By comparing with experimental results,it was verified that the semi-resolved CFD-DEM coupling algorithm can be applied to simulate multi-granular gas-solid systems with fluid grid scales equivalent to particle scales.This algorithm solves the limitation of fluid grid scale in the unresolved CFD-DEM coupling framework and improves the grid adaptability of the CFD-DEM coupling simulation algorithm.

Epidemiological features of seasonal influenza transmission among 11 climate zones in Chinese mainland

Background Previous studies provided some evidence of meteorological factors influence seasonal influenza transmission patterns varying across regions and latitudes.However,research on seasonal influenza activities based on climate zones are still in lack.This study aims to utilize the ecological-based Koppen Geiger climate zones classif-cation system to compare the spatial and temporal epidemiological characteristics of seasonal influenza in Chinese mainland and assess the feasibility of developing an early warning system.Methods Weekly influenza cases number from 2014 to 2019 at the county and city level were sourced from China National Notifiable Infectious Disease Report Information System.Epidemic temporal indices,time series seasonality decomposition,spatial modelling theories including Moran's/and local indicators of spatial association were applied to identify the spatial and temporal patterns of influenza transmission.Results All climate zones had peaks in Winter-Spring season.Arid,desert,cold(BWk)showed up the first peak.Only Tropical,savannah(Aw)and Temperate,dry winter with hot summer(Cwa)zones had unique summer peak.Temper-ate,no dry season and hot summer(Cfa)zone had highest average incidence rate(IR)at 1.047/100,000.The Global Moran's/showed that average IR had significant clustered trend(z=53.69,Pdual peaks in winter and spring season showed by seasonality decomposition.Conclusions Seasonal influenza exhibited distinct spatial and temporal patterns in different climate zones.Seasonal influenza primarily emerged in BWk,subsequently in Cfa and Cwa.Cfa,Cwa and BSk pose high risk for seasonal influ-enza epidemics.The research finds will provide scientific evidence for developing seasonal infl

Tuning interaction strength between CeO_(2) and iridium to promote CO oxidation over Ir/TiO_(2)

The interaction between support and noble metal plays a crucial role in heterogeneous catalysis design.However,how to tune metal support interactions to optimize the activity still needs further exploration.CeO_(2) was introduced to promote CO oxidation ove r Ir/TiO_(2) by adjusting the interaction strength between iridium(Ir)and CeO_(2).The strong interaction between Ir and CeO_(2) blocks CO adsorption and causes low CO oxidation activity.However,introducing CeO_(2) on Ir/TiO_(2) produces localized interaction between Ir and CeO_(2),which can tune the surface electronic state of Ir,so a"volcano curve"relationship between CO oxidation activity and electronic state is built.Limited amount of CeO_(2) on Ir/TiO_(2)(Ir/Ce_(0.2)Ti)leads to CO complete oxidization at 22℃,and a new pathway for CO oxidation was explored.The study demonstrates that the utilization of tuning interaction strength between active metal and support is a potential method to increase the catalytic activity.

Microstructure and mechanical properties stability of pre-hardening treatment in Al-Cu alloys for pre-hardening forming process

The stability of the microstructure and mechanical properties of the pre-hardened sheets during the pre-hardening forming(PHF)process directly determines the quality of the formed components.The microstructure stability of the pre-hardened sheets was in-vestigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),while the mechanical properties and formability were analyzed through uniaxial tensile tests and formability tests.The results in-dicate that the mechanical properties of the pre-hardened alloys exhibited negligible changes after experiencing 1-month natural aging(NA).The deviations of ultimate tensile strength(UTS),yield strength(YS),and sheet formability(Erichsen value)are all less than 2%.Also,after different NA time(from 48 h to 1 month)is applied to alloys before pre-hardening treatment,the pre-hardened alloys possess stable microstructure and mechanical properties as well.Interestingly,with the extension of NA time before pre-hardening treatment from 48 h to 1 month,the contribution of NA to the pre-hardening treatment is limited.Only a yield strength increment of 20 MPa is achieved,with no loss in elongation.The limited enhancement is mainly attributed to the fact that only a limited number of clusters are transformed into Guinier-Preston(GP)zones at the early stage of pre-hardening treatment,and the formation ofθ''phase inhibits the nucleation and growth of GP zones as the precipitated phase evolves.

Alleviating limit cycling in training GANs with an optimization technique

In this paper,we undertake further investigation to alleviate the issue of limit cycling behavior in training generative adversarial networks(GANs)through the proposed predictive centripetal acceleration algorithm(PCAA).Specifically,we first derive the upper and lower complexity bounds of PCAA for a general bilinear game,with the last-iterate convergence rate notably improving upon previous results.Then,we combine PCAA with the adaptive moment estimation algorithm(Adam)to propose PCAA-Adam,for practical training of GANs to enhance their generalization capability.Finally,we validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm through experiments conducted on bilinear games,multivariate Gaussian distributions,and the CelebA dataset,respectively.

Ergothioneine,Ovothiol,and Selenoneine are sulfur/selenium-containing histidine-derived natural products widely distributed across different organisms.They exhibit significant antioxidant properties,making them as potential lead compounds for promoting health.Increasing evidence suggests that Ergothioneine is positively correlated with healthy ageing and longevity.The mechanisms underlying Ergothioneine's regulation of the ageing process at cellular and molecular levels are beginning to be understood.In this review,we provide an in-depth and extensive coverage of the anti-ageing studies on Ergothioneine and discuss its possible intracellular targeting pathways.In addition,we highlight the recent efforts in elucidating the biosynthetic details for Ergothioneine,Ovothiol,and Selenoneine,with a particular focus on the study of their pharmacophore-forming enzymology.

An Innovation of Evaluation and Design of Vehicle Acceleration Sound Based on EEG Signals

There is a bottleneck in the design of vehicle sound that the subjective perception of sound quality that combines multiple psychological factors fails to be accurately and objectively quantified.Therefore,EEG signals are introduced in this paper to investigate the evaluation and design method of vehicle acceleration sound with powerful sound quality.Firstly,the experiment of EEG acquisition and subjective evaluation under the stimulation of powerful vehicle sounds is conducted,respectively,then three physiological EEG features of PSD_β,PSD_γand DE are constructed to evaluate the vehicle sounds based on the correlation analysis algorithms.Subsequently,the Adaptive Genetic Algorithm(AGA)is proposed to optimize the Elman model,where an intelligent model(AGA–Elman)is constructed to objectively predicate the perception of subjects for the vehicle sounds with powerful sound quality.The results demonstrate that the error of the constructed AGA–Elman model is only 2.88%,which outperforms than the traditional BP and Elman model;Finally,two vehicle acceleration sounds(Design1 and Design2)are designed based on the constructed AGA–Elman model from the perspective of order modulation and frequency modulation,which provide the acoustic theoretical guidance for the design of vehicle sound incorporating the EEG signals.

Effect of tillage state of paddy soils with heavy metal pollution on the nosZ gene of N_(2)O reductase

Paddy soils are an important source of atmospheric nitrous oxide(N_(2)O).However,numerous studies have focused on N_(2)O production during the soil tillage period,neglecting the N_(2)O production during the dry fallow period.In this study,we conducted an incubation experiment using the acetylene inhibition technique to investigate N_(2)O emission and reduction rates of paddy soil profiles(0-1 m)from Guangdong Province and Jinlin Province in China,with different heavy-metal pollution levels.The abundance and community structures of denitrifying bacteria were determined via quantitative-PCR and Illumina MiSeq sequencing of nosZ,nirK,and nirS genes.Our results showed that the potential N_(2)O emission rate,N_(2)O production rate,and denitrification rate have decreased with increasing soil vertical depth and heavy-metal pollution.More importantly,we found that the functional gene type of N_(2)O reductase switched with the tillage state of paddy soils,which cladeⅡnos Z genes were the dominant gene during the tillage period,while cladeⅠnos Z genes were the dominant gene during the dry fallow period.The heavy-metal pollution has less effect on the niche differentiation of the nos Z gene.The N_(2)O emission rate was significantly regulated by the genus Bradyhizobium,which contains both N_(2)O reductase and nitrite reductase genes.Our findings suggests that the nos Z gene of N_(2)O reductase can significantly impact the N_(2)O emission from paddy soils.

Kinematic calibration method with high measurement efficiency and robust identification for hybrid machine tools

Geometric error is the main factor affecting the machining accuracy of hybrid machine tools.Kinematic calibration is an effective way to improve the geometric accuracy of hybrid machine tools.The necessity to measure both position and orientation at each pose,as well as the instability of identification in case of incomplete measurements,severely affects the application of traditional calibration methods.In this study,a kinematic calibration method with high measurement efficiency and robust identification is proposed to improve the kinematic accuracy of a five-axis hybrid machine tool.First,the configuration is introduced,and an error model is derived.Further,by investigating the mechanism error characteristics,a measurement scheme that only requires tool centre point position error measurement and one alignment operation is proposed.Subsequently,by analysing the effects of unmeasured degrees of freedom(DOFs)on other DOFs,an improved nonlinear least squares method based on virtual measurement values is proposed to achieve stable parameter identification in case of incomplete measurement,without introducing additional parameters.Finally,the proposed calibration method is verified through simulations and experiments.The proposed method can efficiently accomplish the kinematic calibration of the hybrid machine tool.The accuracy of the hybrid machine tool is significantly improved after calibration,satisfying actual aerospace machining requirements.
