Peroxidasin plays a unique role in the formation and stability of extracellular matrix(ECM)in the animal kingdom;however,it was only characterized in Diptera,not in other insect *** this study peroxidasin(CsPxc/)was first identified and characterized from Chilo suppressalis,a lepidopteran *** complementary DNA with a 4080 bp open reading frame encodes a peptide of 1359 amino acids;the derived amino acid sequence of CsPxd harbors the typical structural characteristics of peroxidasin family in heme-peroxidase superfamily,including the signal peptide at N-terminal,leucine-rich repeat domain,Ig-loop motifs and peroxidase domain,signifying the extracellular location of protein and the involvement in ECM *** expression reveals CsPxd protein displays peroxidase activity on H2O2,justifying the membership of *** analysis shows the monophyletic evolution pattern of peroxidasin in insect phyle,and moreover only one peroxidasin is present in each species of insects,suggesting its evolutionary conservation on *** messenger RNA is mainly expressed in egg and the final instar larvae *** of peroxidasin double-stranded RNA into the final instar larvae impacts the cuticle sclerotization during the metamorphosis from larvae to pupa,and eventually lead to lethality of larvae and *** results suggest the presence of collagen crosslink in chorion and cuticle of insects,and indicate peroxidasin plays a role in the development of chorion and cuticle;furthermore peroxidasin might be the one of potential target genes for pest control using RNA interference.

Non-equilibrium radiation measurements behind strong shock wave for simulated Martian atmosphere are presented in this paper. The shock wave is established in a hydrogen oxygen combustion driven shock tube. Time- resolved spectra of the Av = 0 sequence of the B^2∑^＋ → X^2∑^＋ electronic transition of CN have been observed through optical emission spectroscopy （OES）. A new method, which is based on fitting high resolution spectrum for rotational and vibrational temperatures measurement, is proposed to diag- nose temperature distribution behind the shock wave. It is estimated that the current scheme has the maximum deviation less than 8% （lσ） for vibrational temperature measurement through detailed analysis of the influence of the uncertainties of spectroscopic constants and spectral resolution. Radiation structure of the shock layer, including induction, relaxation and equilibrium process, and corresponding rotational and vibrational temperatures are obtained through time gating OES diagnostics with sub-microsecond temporal resolution. The present extensive results will strongly benefit the reaction rate estimation and computational fluid dynamics （CFD） code validation in high enthalpy Mars reentry chemistry.

The factors affecting the electrooxidation of hydroxypivalaldehyde（HPAL） in an undivided cell were studied by using cyclic voltammetry（CV）, linear scan voltammetry（ LSV）, and potentiostatic electrolysis. The electrocatalytic activity and stability of a PbO2 electrode in sulfuric acid, acetic acid, and phosphoric acid were studied. The selectivity and the current efficiency for producing hydroxypivalic acid were explored with different supporting electrolytes, concentrations of HPAL, and pH values. The results show that higher selectivity and current efficiency for producing hydroxypivalic acid can be achieved when sulfuric acid with a high concentration is used as the supporting electrolyte and the selectivity and the current efficiency can reach 80% and 60%. resvectively.

To optimize the comprehensive utilization of vanadium titanomagnetite by direct reduction-smelting processes,it is essential to acquire titanium slag with a higher TiO_(2)content of 45–60 wt.%.A thermodynamic model was developed based on the ion and molecule coexistence theory,specifically targeting the CaO–SiO_(2)–Al_(2)O_(3)–MgO–TiO_(2)–V_(2)O_(3)–FeO slag *** impact of slag composition on the smelting of vanadium titanomagnetite was assessed,and the thermodynamic model was utilized to identify the optimal high-titanium *** results revealed that increasing the basicity,MgO content,and FeO content within the slag effectively suppressed the reduction of titanium and silicon ***,the calculated activity coefficient of TiO_(2)decreased with higher basicity,MgO,and FeO *** an increase in basicity significantly enhanced the reduction of vanadium oxides,the effects of MgO and FeO contents on vanadium oxide reduction were comparatively less ***,higher basicity and FeO content promoted the formation of calcium titanates,whereas an elevated MgO content favored the formation of magnesium *** smelting results indicated that a lower V_(2)O_(3)content and higher TiO_(2)activity corresponded to a smaller titanium mass fraction in the iron alloy,while the opposite trend was observed for vanadium.

A dinuclear complex Cd2（dnba）4（pyridine）4 （dnba = 3,5-dinitrobenzoate） has been synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, DSC and TG-DTG techniques. The complex with empirical formula C48H32Cd2NI2024 （Mr = 692.83） crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/n with a - 12.0344（14）, b = 10.5752（13）, c = 21.578（3） A, β = 104.150（2）°, V = 2662.8（6） A^3, Z = 2, D, = 1.728 g/cm^3,μ（MoKa） = 0.897 mm^-1, F（000） = 1384, S = 1.016 and （△/σ）max = 0.001. R = 0.0638 and wR = 0.0737 for all data; the final R = 0.0337 and wR = 0.0644. In this complex, four carboxylates are bidentate-or chelate-coordinated with the Cd（Ⅱ） centers to give the dinuclear structure. The other coordination positions of Cd（Ⅱ） are occupied by the lone pair electrons from N of four pyridines. Thermal analyses DSC and TG-DTG have been used to determine the thermal decomposition mechanism of the title complex.

Influence of Ice Size Parameter Variation on Hydrodynamic Performance of Podded Propulsor

during ice-breaking navigation, a massive amount of crushed ice blocks with different sizes is accumulated under the hull of an ice-going ship. This ice slides into the flow field in the forward side of the podded propulsor, affecting the surrounding flow field and aggravating the non-uniformity of the propeller wake. A pulsating load is formed on the propeller, which affects the hydrodynamic performance of the podded propulsor. To study the changes in the propeller hydrodynamic performance during the ice podded propulsor interaction, the overlapping grid technique is used to simulate the unsteady hydrodynamic performance of the podded propulsor at different propeller rotation angles and different ice block sizes. Hence, the hydrodynamic blade behavior during propeller rotation under the interaction between the ice and podded propulsor is discussed. The unsteady propeller loads and surrounding flow fields obtained for ice blocks with different sizes interacting with the podded propulsor are analyzed in detail. The variation in the hydrodynamic performance during the circular motion of a propeller and the influence of ice size variation on the propeller thrust and torque are determined. The calculation results have certain reference significance for experiment-based research, theoretical calculations and numerical simulation concerning ice podded propulsor interaction.

BACKGROUND： Nearly 15% of acute myeloid leukemia （AML） cases are caused by aberrant expression of AML 1-ETO, a fusion protein generated by the t（8;21） chromosomal translocation. Since its discovery, AML 1-ETO has served as a prototype to understand how leukemia fusion proteins deregulate transcription to promote leukemogenesis. Another leukemia fusion protein, E2A-Pbx 1, generated by the t（1; 19） translocation, is involved in acute lymphoblastic leukemias （ALLs）. While AML 1 - ETO and E2A-Pbxl are structurally unrelated fusion proteins, we have recently shown that a common axis, the ETO/E-protein interaction, is involved in the regulation of both fusion proteins, underscoring the importance of studying protein-protein interactions in elucidating the mechanisms of leukemia fusion proteins. OBJECTIVE： In this review, we aim to summarize these new developments while also providing a historic overview of the related early studies. METHODS： A total of 218 publications were reviewed in this article, a majority of which were published after 2004. We also downloaded 3D structures of AML1-ETO domains from Protein Data Bank and provided a systematic summary of their structures. RESULTS： By reviewing the literature, we summarized early and recent findings on AML 1-ETO, including its protein-protein interactions, transcriptional and lenkemogenic mechanisms, as well as the recently reported involvement of ETO family corepressors in regulating the function of E2A-Pbxl. CONCLUSION： While the recent development in genomic and structural studies has clearly demonstrated that the fusion proteins function by directly regulating transcription, a further understanding of the underlying mechanisms, including crosstalk with other transcription factors and cofactors, and the protein-protein interactions in the context of native proteins, may be necessary for the development of highly targeted drugs for leukemia therapy.

Adsorption of phenolic compounds from aqueous solutions by aminated hypercrosslinked polymers

Two novel polymers （NJ-1 and N J-2） were synthesized by chemically modified a hypercrosslinked polymer NJ-0 with dimethylamine and trimethylamine, respectively. The comparison of the adsorption properties of the three polymers toward phenol, resorcin and phloroglucin was made. The study focused on the static equilibrium adsorption behaviors and the adsorption thermodynamics. Freundlich equation was found to fit the adsorption results well. The effect of amino groups introduced onto the surface of the resin and the structure of phenolic compounds on the adsorption were also studied. The hydrogen-bonding interaction and electrostatic interaction could happen between the amino groups and the adsorbates. The adsorption impetus increased as quantity of hydroxyl groups increased, but the adsorption capacity decreased due to the drop of the matching degree of the aperture of resins and the diameter of adsorbate molecules.

Role of CD80 in stimulating T lymphocyte activation

AIM： To observe biological characteristics of hepatocarcinoma cells before and after CD80 transfection and to compare the effect of CD80-transfected hepatocarcinoma cells on T lymphocyte activation. METHODS： Retro virus vector carrying CD80 gene was transfected into HepG2 cells to establish CD80transfected hepatocarcinoma cells （HepG2/hCD80）. Flow cytometry （FCM） was performed to detect CD80 expression in the transfected cells. RT-PCR was used to evaluate CD80 expression at mRNA level. In the presence of anti-CD3 mAb, the proliferation of T lymphocyte was observed by M＇n＇. Meanwhile, the expression of activated molecule marker CD25 was analyzed through FCM. RESULTS： A stable cell line HepG2/hCD80 expressing the human CD80 was established. Growth curve showed that the molecule CD80 could obviously decrease the growth of tumor cells. HepG2/hCD80 was evidenced to have a potency to enhance T cell proliferation and upregulate CD25 expression. CONCLUSION： CD80 transfection can lower malignant phenotype of hepatocarcinoma cells. CD80 transfection has a down-regulatory effect to activated T cells in vitro.
