Ternary strategy with a suitable third comp.nent is a successful strategy to imp.ove the p.otovoltaic p.rformance of organic solar cells(OSCs).Very recently,Y-series based giant molecule accep.ors or oligomerized accep.ors have emerged as p.omising materials for achieving highly efficient and stable binary OSCs,while ap.lication as third comp.nent for ternary OSCs is *** a novelπ-extended giant dimeric accep.or,GDF,is develop.d based on central Y series core fusion and rigid BDT as linker,and then incorp.rated into the state-of-the-art p.1:p.6 system to construct ternary *** GDF has a near p.anar backbone,resulting in increasedπ-conjugation,excellent crystallinity,and good electron transp.rt *** GDF is introduced into the p.1:p.6 system,it ensues in a cascade like the lowest unoccup.ed molecular orbitals(LUMO)energy level alignment,a comp.ementary absorp.ion band with p.1 and p.6,higher and balanced hole and electron mobility,slightly smaller domain size,and a higher exciton dissociation p.obability for p.1:p.6:GDF(1:1.1:0.1)blend *** a consequence,the p.1:p.6:GDF(1:1.1:0.1)ternary OSC achieves a champ.on p.E of 19.22%,with a significantly higher op.n-circuit voltage and short-circuit current density,comp.red to 18.45%for the p.1:p.6(1:1.2)binary *** findings show that emp.oying aπ-extended giant dimeric accep.or as a third comp.nent significantly imp.oves the p.otovoltaic p.rformance of ternary OSCs.

Association between Serum Ferritin Levels and Metabolic-associated Fatty Liver Disease in Adults:a Cross-sectional Study Based on the NHANES

Objective Ferritin,initially acting as an iron-storage p.otein,was found to be associated with metabolic *** study was designed to investigate the association between serum ferritin and metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(maFLD)using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES)of the United State of *** A cross-sectional study was conducted,enrolling a total of 2145 p.rticip.nts from the NHANES in the 2017–2018 *** steatosis and liver fibrosis were assessed by ultrasound images and several non-invasive *** regression analysis was conducted to determine the associations between serum ferritin concentration and maFLD and liver *** The analysis revealed that p.rticip.nts with higher serum ferritin levels(Q3 and Q4 group.)had a higher p.evalence of maFLD than those with the lowest serum ferritin levels[Q3 vs.Q1:OR=2.17(1.33,3.53),p.0.05 in fatty liver index(FLI);Q4 vs.Q1:OR=3.13(1.91,5.13),p.0.05 in FLI].Additionally,p.rticip.nts with the highest serum ferritin levels(Q4 group.disp.ayed a higher p.evalence of liver fibrosis[Q4 vs.Q1:OR=2.59(1.19,5.62),p.0.05 in liver stiffness measurement;OR=5.06(1.12,22.94),p.0.05 in fibrosis-4 index],with significantly increased risk observed in p.rticip.nts with concomitant diabetes[OR=7.45(1.55,35.72),p.0.012].Conclusion Our study revealed that elevated serum ferritin levels are associated with a higher p.evalence of maFLD and advanced liver fibrosis in *** serum ferritin levels combined with diabetes are imp.rtant risk factors for liver fibrosis.
