Biotransformation of soybean phytosterols into 9α-hydroxy-4-androstene-3,17-dione(9-OHAD)by mycobacteria is the core step in the synthesis of adrenocortical ***,the low permeability of the dense cell envelope largely inhibits the overall conversion efficiency of *** antigen 85(Ag85)complex encoded by fbpA,fbpB,and fbpC was proposed as the key factor in the combined catalysis of mycoloyl for producing mycolyl-arabinogalactan(m-AG)and trehalose dimycolate(TDM)in mycobacterial cell ***,we confirmed that fbpC3 was essential for the biotransformation of trehalose monomycolate(TMM)to TDM in Mycolicibacterium *** deficiency of this gene raised the cell permeability,thereby enhancing the steroid uptake and *** 9-OHAD yield in the fbpC3-deficient 9-OHAD-producing strain was increased by 21.3%.Moreover,the combined deletion of fbpC3 and embC further increased the 9-OHAD yield compared to the single deletion of ***,after 96 h of bioconversion in industrial resting cells,the 9-OHAD yield of 11.2 g/L was achieved from 20 g/L phytosterols and the productivity reached 0.116 g/L/*** summary,this study suggested the critical role of the fbpC3 gene in the synthesis of TDM in *** and verified the feasibility of improving the bioconversion efficiency of phytosterols through the cell envelope en-gineering strategy.

The expression of angiopoietin(ANGPT)1,ANGPT2,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)A,VEGFB,VEGFC,VEGFD,and placental growth factor(PGF)is significantly higher in tumor tissues than in normal tissues in both unpaired and paired hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)***2,VEGFB,VEGFC,and PGF are primarily involved in regulating the activation of the epithelialmesenchymal transition pathway;ANGPT1 is primarily involved in regulating the activation of the RAS/mitogen-activated protein kinase and receptor tyrosine kinase(RTK)pathways;VEGFA is engaged in regulating the RTK activation pathway;and VEGFD is mainly involved in regulating the activation of the tuberous sclerosis protein/mammalian target of rapamycin *** is a significant difference in overall survival between HCC patients with high and low expression of ANGPT2,PGF,VEGFA,and *** free survival(DFS)is significantly shorter in HCC patients with high ANGPT2,PGF,and VEGFA expression than in those with low ANGPT2,PGF,and VEGFA expression.

We have found that the expression of ring finger and WD repeat domain 3(RFWD3)is significantly higher in unpaired and paired hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)tissues than in normal ***,this expression has a significant correlation with the infiltration level of 14 immune cell types and when the detected RFWD3 expression levels were grouped as high and low,a prominent difference was revealed for overall survival,disease-specific survival,and progression-free *** statistical analysis(univariate Cox),we were also able to identify RFWD3 as an independent prognostic element for HCC,with RFWD3 having an ability to accurately predict HCC prognosis(area under the curve of 0.863).Finally,we have generated prognostic nomograms for probabilities of 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival in HCC via integrating the factors of age,pathologic stage,alpha-fetoprotein level,and RFWD3 expression.

Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate(NO_(3)^(−))and nitride(NO_(2)^(−))to ammonia(NH3)is of wide interest as a promising alternative to the energy-intensive Haber-Bosch route for mitigating the vast energy consumption and the accompanied carbon dioxide emission,as well as benefiting for the relevant sewage ***,exploring an efficient and low-cost catalyst with high atomic utilization that can effectively facilitate the slow multi-electron transfer process remains a grand ***,we present an efficient hydrogenation of NO_(3)^(−)/NO_(2)^(−)species to NH3 in both alkaline and neutral environments over the Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)derived hybrid electrocatalyst with the metallic Fe site on FeMoO_(4)(Fe/FeMoO_(4)).The Mo ingredient can play a synergistically positive role in further promoting the NH3 production on *** a result,Fe/FeMoO_(4)behaves well in the electrochemical NH3 generation from NO_(2)^(−)with a maximum NH3 Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 96.53%and 87.68%in alkaline and neutral electrolyte,corresponding to the NH3 yield rate of 640.68 and 302.56 mg·h^(−1)·mgcat.^(−1),respectively,which outperforms the Fe and Mo counterpart and other similar catalyst,showing the robust catalytic capacity of each active site.

It has been over 30 years since the concept of optical vortices was first proposed by Coullet et *** 1989,and the field of structured beams has grown *** the last two decades,partially coherent vortex beams(PCVBs)have received increasing interest in the fields of optical manipulation,optical communication,optical imaging,etc.,and great progress has been made in the area of the coherence singularities,generation methods,topological charge measurements,and promising applications of *** this review,we firstly outline the basic concepts of *** explicate the relationship between the coherence vortices and optical vortices,and the evolution behavior of optical vortices to coherence vortices is summarized in *** discuss a special form of coherence singularity,ring dislocation,mathematically and *** ring dislocation in the correlation functions under low coherence is dependent on the mode indices,which provide a feasible approach to measure mode indices of ***,we summarize the various methods for measuring the topological charge of PCVBs,highlight the measurement method based on the cross-correlation function,and a physical explanation on the relation between ring dislocation and topological charge is *** that,we review the recent advances on experimental generation of several kinds of ***,we give an overview on the potential applications of PCVBs.

A multipoint interferometer(MI),uniformly distributed point-like pinholes in a circle,was proposed to measure the orbital angular momentum(OAM)of vortex beams[***.101,100801(2008)],which can be used for measuring OAM of light from astronomical *** is a simple and robust method;however,it is noted that this method is only available for low topological charge because the diffracted intensity patterns for vortex beams with higher OAM will repeat ***,we propose an improved multipoint interferometer(IMI)for measuring the OAM of an optical vortex with high topological *** structure of our IMI is almost the same as the MI,but the size of each pinhole is larger than a point in the *** a small change enables each pinhole to get more phase information from the incident beams;accordingly,the IMI can distinguish any vortex beams with different *** demonstrate its viability both theoretically and experimentally.
