Risk identification and safety assessment of human-computer interaction in integrated avionics based on STAMP

To solve the problem of risk identification and quantitative assessment for human-computer interaction(HCI)in complex avionics systems,an HCI safety analysis framework based on system-theoretical process analysis(STPA)and cognitive reliability and error analysis method(CREAM)is proposed.STPACREAM can identify unsafe control actions and find the causal path during the interaction of avionics systems and pilot with the help of formal verification tools automatically.The common performance conditions(CPC)of avionics systems in the aviation environment is established and a quantitative analysis of human failure is carried out.Taking the head-up display(HUD)system interaction process as an example,a case analysis is carried out,the layered safety control structure and formal model of the HUD interaction process are established.For the interactive behavior“Pilots approaching with HUD”,four unsafe control actions and35 causal scenarios are identified and the impact of common performance conditions at different levels on the pilot decision model are analyzed.The results show that HUD's HCI level gradually improves as the scores of CPC increase,and the quality of crew member cooperation and time sufficiency of the task is the key to its HCI.Through case analysis,it is shown that STPACREAM can quantitatively assess the hazards in HCI and identify the key factors that impact safety.

Exceptional points enhance sensing in silicon micromechanical resonators

Exceptional points(EPs)have recently emerged as a new method for engineering the response of open physical systems,that is,systems that interact with the environment.The systems at the EPs exhibit a strong response to a small perturbation.Here,we show a method by which the sensitivity of silicon resonant sensors can be enhanced when operated at EPs.In our experiments,we use a pair of mechanically coupled silicon micromechanical resonators constituting a parity-time(PT)-symmetric dimer.Small perturbations introduced on the mechanically coupled spring cause the frequency to split from the EPs into the PT-symmetric regime without broadening the two spectrum linewidths,and this frequency splitting scales with the square root of the perturbation strength.The overall signal-tonoise ratio is still greatly enhanced,although the measured noise spectral density of the EP sensing scheme has a slight increase comparable to the traditional counterpart.Our results pave the way for resonant sensors with ultrahigh sensitivity.

A semi-analytical model for coupled flow in stress-sensitive multi-scale shale reservoirs with fractal characteristics

A large number of nanopores and complex fracture structures in shale reservoirs results in multi-scale flow of oil. With the development of shale oil reservoirs, the permeability of multi-scale media undergoes changes due to stress sensitivity, which plays a crucial role in controlling pressure propagation and oil flow. This paper proposes a multi-scale coupled flow mathematical model of matrix nanopores, induced fractures, and hydraulic fractures. In this model, the micro-scale effects of shale oil flow in fractal nanopores, fractal induced fracture network, and stress sensitivity of multi-scale media are considered. We solved the model iteratively using Pedrosa transform, semi-analytic Segmented Bessel function, Laplace transform. The results of this model exhibit good agreement with the numerical solution and field production data, confirming the high accuracy of the model. As well, the influence of stress sensitivity on permeability, pressure and production is analyzed. It is shown that the permeability and production decrease significantly when induced fractures are weakly supported. Closed induced fractures can inhibit interporosity flow in the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV). It has been shown in sensitivity analysis that hydraulic fractures are beneficial to early production, and induced fractures in SRV are beneficial to middle production. The model can characterize multi-scale flow characteristics of shale oil, providing theoretical guidance for rapid productivity evaluation.

The extension of dual-comb spectroscopy(DCS)to all wavelengths of light along with its ability to provide ultralarge dynamic range and ultra-high spectral resolution,renders it extremely useful for a diverse array of applications in physics,chemistry,atmospheric science,space science,as well as medical applications.In this work,we report on an innovative technique of quartz-enhanced multiheterodyne resonant photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEMR-PAS),in which the beat frequency response from a dual comb is frequency down-converted into the audio frequency domain.In this way,gas molecules act as an optical-acoustic converter through the photoacoustic effect,generating heterodyne sound waves.Unlike conventional DCS,where the light wave is detected by a wavelengthdependent photoreceiver,QEMR-PAS employs a quartz tuning fork(QTF)as a high-Q sound transducer and works in conjunction with a phase-sensitive detector to extract the resonant sound component from the multiple heterodyne acoustic tones,resulting in a straightforward and low-cost hardware configuration.This novel QEMRPAS technique enables wavelength-independent DCS detection for gas sensing,providing an unprecedented dynamic range of 63 dB,a remarkable spectral resolution of 43 MHz(or~0.3 pm),and a prominent noise equivalent absorption of 5.99×10^(-6)cm^(-1)·Hz-1/2.

Hierarchical Game Approach for Optimization of Regional Integrated Energy System Clusters Considering Bounded Rationality

Regional integrated energy system(RIES)cluster,i.e.,multi-source integration and multi-region coordination,is an effective approach for increasing energy utilization efficiency.The hierarchical architecture and limited information sharing of RIES cluster make it difficult for traditional game theory to accurately describe their game behavior.Thus,a hierarchical game approach considering bounded rationality is proposed in this paper to balance the interests of optimizing RIES cluster under privacy protection.A Stackelberg game with the cluster operator(CO)as the leader and multiple RIES as followers is developed to simultaneously optimize leader benefit and RIES utilization efficiency.Concurrently,a slight altruistic function is introduced to simulate the game behavior of each RIES agent on whether to cooperate or not.By introducing an evolutionary game based on bounded rationality in the lower layer,the flaw of the assumption that participants are completely rational can be avoided.Specially,for autonomous optimal dispatching,each RIES is treated as a prosumer,fexibly switching its market participation role to achieve cluster coordination optimization.Case studies on a RIES cluster verify effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Deep convolutional neural network for meteorology target detection in airborne weather radar images

Considering the problem that the scattering echo images of airborne Doppler weather radar are often reduced by ground clutters,the accuracy and confidence of meteorology target detection are reduced.In this paper,a deep convolutional neural network(DCNN)is proposed for meteorology target detection and ground clutter suppression with a large collection of airborne weather radar images as network input.For each weather radar image,the corresponding digital elevation model(DEM)image is extracted on basis of the radar antenna scan-ning parameters and plane position,and is further fed to the net-work as a supplement for ground clutter suppression.The fea-tures of actual meteorology targets are learned in each bottle-neck module of the proposed network and convolved into deeper iterations in the forward propagation process.Then the network parameters are updated by the back propagation itera-tion of the training error.Experimental results on the real mea-sured images show that our proposed DCNN outperforms the counterparts in terms of six evaluation factors.Meanwhile,the network outputs are in good agreement with the expected mete-orology detection results(labels).It is demonstrated that the pro-posed network would have a promising meteorology observa-tion application with minimal effort on network variables or parameter changes.

Interactive method research of dual mode information coordination integration for astronaut gesture and eye movement signals based on hybrid model

The lightweight human-robot interaction model with high real-time,high accuracy,and strong anti-interference capability can be better applied to future lunar surface exploration and construction work.Based on the feature information inputted from the monocular camera,the signal acquisition and processing fusion of the astronaut gesture and eye-movement modal interaction can be performed.Compared with the single mode,the human-robot interaction model of bimodal collaboration can achieve the issuance of complex interactive commands more efficiently.The optimization of the target detection model is executed by inserting attention into YOLOv4 and filtering image motion blur.The central coordinates of pupils are identified by the neural network to realize the human-robot interaction in the eye movement mode.The fusion between the astronaut gesture signal and eye movement signal is performed at the end of the collaborative model to achieve complex command interactions based on a lightweight model.The dataset used in the network training is enhanced and extended to simulate the realistic lunar space interaction environment.The human-robot interaction effects of complex commands in the single mode are compared with those of complex commands in the bimodal collaboration.The experimental results show that the concatenated interaction model of the astronaut gesture and eye movement signals can excavate the bimodal interaction signal better,discriminate the complex interaction commands more quickly,and has stronger signal anti-interference capability based on its stronger feature information mining ability.Compared with the command interaction realized by using the single gesture modal signal and the single eye movement modal signal,the interaction model of bimodal collaboration is shorter about 79%to 91%of the time under the single mode interaction.Regardless of the influence of any image interference item,the overall judgment accuracy of the proposed model can be maintained at about 83%to 97%.The effectiveness of the propo

Electrochemical reconstruction: a new perspective on Sn metal-organic complex microbelts as robust anode for lithium storage

Tin-based materials with high theoretical capacity and suitable working voltage are ideal anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). However, to overcome their shortcomings(volume expansion and inferior stability), the preparation processes are usually complicated and expensive. Herein, a tin-based metal-organic complex(tin 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, Sn-BDC)with one-dimensional microbelt morphology is synthesized by a facile, rapid and low-cost co-precipitation method, and served as anode material for LIBs without any post-treatment. Sn-BDC exhibits a high reversible capacity with609/440 m Ah·g^(-1) at 50/2000 m A·g^(-1), and robust cycling stability of 856 m Ah·g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 200 m A·g^(-1),which are obviously superior to that of the Sn Ox/C counterparts. Moreover, an electrochemical reconstruction perspective on the lithium storage mechanism of Sn-BDC is proposed by systematic ex-situ characterizations. The reconstructed SnO_(2) replaces Sn-BDC and becomes the active material in the subsequent cycles. As the by-product of the lithiation reaction, the formed Li-based metal-organic complex(Li-BDC, wrapped around the reconstructed SnO_(2)) plays an important role in alleviating volume expansion and accelerating the charge transfer kinetics.This work is beneficial to design and construct the new electrode materials based on the electrochemical reconstruction for advanced LIBs.

TL1A Promotes Fibrogenesis in Colonic Fibroblasts via the TGF-β1/Smad3 Signaling Pathway

Objective Intestinal fibrosis is a refractory complication of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Tumor necrosis factor ligand-related molecule-1A(TL1A)is important for IBD-related intestinal fibrosis in a dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced experimental colitis model.This study aimed to explore the effects of TL1A on human colonic fibroblasts.Methods A trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced experimental colitis model of LCK-CD2-TL1A-GFP transgenic(Tg)or wild-type(WT)mice was established to determine the effect and mechanism of TL1A on intestinal fibrosis.The human colonic fibroblast CCD-18Co cell line was treated concurrently with TL1A and human peripheral blood mononuclear cell(PBMC)supernatant.The proliferation and activation of CCD-18Co cells were detected by BrdU assays,flow cytometry,immunocytochemistry and Western blotting.Collagen metabolism was tested by Western blotting and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).Results The level of collagen metabolism in the TNBS+ethyl alcohol(EtOH)/Tg group was greater than that in the TNBS+EtOH/WT group.Transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)and p-Smad3 in the TNBS+EtOH/Tg group were upregulated as compared with those in the TNBS+EtOH/WT group.The proliferation of CCD-18Co cells was promoted by the addition of human PBMC supernatant supplemented with 20 ng/mL TL1A,and the addition of human PBMC supernatant and TL1A increased CCD-18Co proliferation by 24.4%at 24 h.TL1A promoted cell activation and increased the levels of COL1A2,COL3A1,and TIMP-1 in CCD-18Co cells.Treatment of CCD-18Co cells with TL1A increased the expression of TGF-β1 and p-Smad3.Conclusion TL1A promotes TGF-β1-mediated intestinal fibroblast activation,proliferation,and collagen deposition and is likely related to an increase in the TGF-β1/Smad3 signaling pathway.

SnO2/metal organic complex composite derived from low-temperature activated metal organic complex for advanced lithium storage

Sn-based metal organic complexes with coordination bonds,multi-active sites,and high theoretical capacity have attracted much attention as promising anodes for lithium ion batteries.However,the low electrical conductivity and huge volume changes restricted their electrochemical stability and practical utilization.Herein,Snbased anode with superior electrochemical performance,including a high reversible capacity of 1050.1 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1and a stable capacity of 1105.5 mAh·g-1after 500 cycles at 1 A·g-1,was fabricated via a low-temperature calcination strategy from Sn metal organic complexes.The low-temperature calcination process regulates Sn-O bond and prevents the agglomeration of SnO2,generating highly dispersed SnO2decorated metal organic complexes and providing sufficient active sites for ion storage.Ex situ characterizations expound that the undecomposed Sn-based metal organic complexes could be transformed into SnO2during lithiation and delithiation,which enhances the electrical conductivity and induces a strong pseudo-capacitive behavior,accelerating the electrochemical kinetics;the multiple solid electrolyte interface with inflexible LiF and flexible ROCO2Li buffers the volume variation of the electrode,resulting in its high electrochemical stability.This work provides a simple strategy for preparing excellent Sn-based anodes from metal organic complexes and reveals the lithium storage mechanism of the prepared Snbased anode.
