The rapid ascent of digital platforms and the gig economy has prompted concerns about the gender pay *** results show that in the gig economy,gender continues to be a crucial determinant of workers'earnings,with women earning 85%of what men earn on a monthly ***,in comparison to the traditional waged employment during the same period,the gender pay gap in the gig economy has *** some gig jobs(e.g.,ride-hailing services,delivery services,online education)exhibit certain occupational segregation,women in gig economy work are no longer concentrated in low-paying roles,thereby challenging the occupational crowding hypothesis prevalent in traditional *** the gig economy,the vast majority of the gender pay gaps arise from factors within occupations,and occupational segregation only has a very limited impact on the earnings ***,the gender pay gap among platform gig workers can be mostly explained by observable factors,which implies that compared to traditional employment,the gig economy exhibits a lower level of implicit gender discrimination in ***,we investigate new factors that determine the gender pay gap in the gig *** exhibit a stronger aversion to algorithmic control,a preference for job flexibility,and a tendency toward more isolated and less socially interactive work environmentsall of which serve to widen the gender pay gap that might have otherwise *** results of this research suggest that despite the criticisms surrounding the gig economy,it continues to exert a positive influence on china's labor market。

Wind sensors have always played an irreplaceable role in environmental information monitoring and are expected to operate with lower power consumption to extend service ***,we propose a breeze wake-up anemometer(B-WA)based on a rolling-bearing triboelectric nanogenerator(RB-TENG)with extremely low static *** B-WA consists of two RB-TENGs,a self-waking-up module(SWM),a signal processing module(SPM),and a wireless transmission *** two RB-TENGs are employed for system activation and wind-speed *** the ambient wind-speed exceeds 2 m/s,the wake TENG(W-TENG)and the SWM can wake up the system within 0.96 *** the same time,the SPM starts to calculate the signal frequency from the measured TENG(M-TENG)to monitor the wind speed with a sensitivity of 9.45 Hz/(m/s).After the wind stops,the SWM can switch off the B-WA within 0.52 s to decrease the system energy *** quiescent on-duty mode,the operating power of the B-WA is less than 30 nW,which can greatly extend the service lifetime of the *** integrating triboelectric devices and rolling bearings,this work has realized an ultralow quiescent power and self-waked-up wireless wind-speed monitoring system,which has foreseeable applications in remote weather monitoring,IoT nodes,and so on.

We studied different long-chain ammonium ions intercalated zirconium phosphate α-ZrP, methylamine intercalated ZrP(MAZrP), tetramethylammonium hydroxide intercalated ZrP(TMAH-ZrP), dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide intercalated ZrP(DTAB-ZrP), and stearyl trimethyl ammonium bromide intercalated ZrP(STAB-ZrP) as grease co-additives in combination with isobutylene sulfide(SIB). The grease with co-additives displayed excellent extreme-pressure and anti-wear ***, the combination of the longest chain ammonium ion intercalated zirconium phosphate, STAB-ZrP/SIB, had the best tribological properties. In comparison to α-ZrP, the advantage of STAB-ZrP was that it did not form a large area of the dense physical film like α-ZrP on the worn surface, but rather gave the SIB a chance to contact with the fresh metal surface to generate a chemical film. Therefore, the sub-micron physical film and nanoscale chemical film always exist side by side on the contact surface during the friction process. This intercalated α-ZrP/SIB additive has great potential for use in harsh operating conditions.

Microseismic source location is crucial for the early warning of rockburst ***,the conventional methods face challenges in terms of the microseismic wave velocity and arrival time *** techniques,such as the full convolutional neural network(FCNN),can capture spatial information but struggle with complex microseismic *** the FCNN with the long shortterm memory(LSTM)network enables better time-series signal classification by integrating multiscale information and is therefore suitable for waveform *** LSTM-FCNN model does not require extensive data preprocessing and it simplifies the microseismic source location through feature *** this study,we utilized the LSTM-FCNN as a regression learning model to locate the seismic ***,the method of short-time-average/long-time-average(STA/LTA)arrival time picking was employed to augment spatiotemporal ***,oversampling the on-site data was performed to address the issue of data imbalance,and finally,the performance of LSTM-FCNN was ***,we compared the LSTM-FCNN model with previous deep-learning *** results demonstrated remarkable location capabilities with a mean absolute error(MAE)of only 7.16 *** model can realize swift training and high accuracy,thereby significantly improving risk warning of rockbursts.

Ceria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal(Ce-TZP)has exceptional fracture toughness and flaw tolerance due to facile t‒m phase transformation ***,its wider-range applications are limited by its relatively low strength due to its large grain size and low transformation stress,which results in yield-like ***,we combined additive manufacturing(AM),pressureless two-step sintering,and hot isostatic pressing(HIP),and addressed the challenging grain size refinement problem in *** successfully produced dense ultrafine-grained Ce-TZP ceramics with an average grain size below 500 nm,a three-point bending strength above 800 MPa,and a single-edge-notch-beam fracture toughness in the range of 11‒12 MPa·m^(1/2).The critical roles of processing design,mixed Ce valences,and ***-stabilization of tetragonal polymorphs were *** work offers insights and strategies for the future development of stronger and tougher Ce-TZP ceramics that can compete with tetragonal yttria-stabilized zirconia in various applications,including additive manufacturing.

In the preparation of magnesium by Pidgeon process,the phenomenon slag pellets sticking on the wall of reduction pot always appear,and the glaze sticking on the inner wall of the reduction pot is difficult to *** mechanism of this phenomenon is studied in this work by X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF)measurement,electron probe microanalyzer scanning(EPMA)analysis,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,and thermodynamic *** main components of the glaze are MgO,Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32),CaF_(2),CaO,and a small amount of Ca_(4)Si_(2)O_(7)F_(2).The solid-liquid transition temperature of Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32)and CaF_(2)is close to the production temperature of Pidgeon process,which leads to the bonding between the slag pellets and the pot *** loss of CaF_(2)in glaze layer will reduce the total amount of liquid phase and increase the temperature at which Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32)is completely transformed into liquid phase,which causes glaze layer sticking on the inner wall of the reduction pot.

Photocatalytic water splitting has emerged as a new frontier for converting solar energy to green H_(2) and value-added ***,great challenges still remain for developing efficient photocatalysts for pure water splitting without sacrificial *** this work,we demonstrate that doping hexagonal ZnIn_(2)S_(4)(ZIS) with Pd single atoms(Pd_(0.03)/ZIS) can serve as a highly efficient photocatalyst for pure water splitting to simultaneously produce H_(2) and H_(2)O_(2) without any sacrificial *** from aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy,X-ray fine spectroscopy,insitu electron paramagnetic resonance and diffuse Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy reveal that doping ZIS with Pd single atoms facilitates the formation of S vacancies(S_(v)),where the photogenerated electrons can transfer to Pd single atoms,as a result of enhanced separation of electron-hole pairs and improved photocatalytic ***,Pd_(0.03)/ZIS displays a stoichiometric ratio of H_(2) and H_(2)O_(2) with the productivity of 1,037.9 and 1,021.4μmol g^(-1)h^(-1),respectively,which has largely outperformed pure ZIS and other reported catalysts for pure water *** work provides an efficient photocatalyst for water splitting to produce H_(2) and H_(2)O_(2),which may attract rapid interest in materials science,chemistry,and heterogeneous catalysis.

Background Considerable research has been conducted in the areas of audio-driven virtual character gestures and facial animation with some degree of ***,few methods exist for generating full-body animations,and the portability of virtual character gestures and facial animations has not received sufficient *** Therefore,we propose a deep-learning-based audio-to-animation-and-blendshape(Audio2AB)network that generates gesture animations and ARK it's 52 facial expression parameter blendshape weights based on audio,audio-corresponding text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels to generate parametric data for full-body *** parameterization method can be used to drive full-body animations of virtual characters and improve their *** the experiment,we first downsampled the gesture and facial data to achieve the same temporal resolution for the input,output,and facial *** Audio2AB network then encoded the audio,audio-corresponding text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels,and then fused the text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels into the audio to obtain better audio ***,we established links between the body,gestures,and facial decoders and generated the corresponding animation sequences through our proposed GAN-GF loss *** By using audio,audio-corresponding text,and emotional and semantic relevance labels as input,the trained Audio2AB network could generate gesture animation data containing blendshape ***,different 3D virtual character animations could be created through *** The experimental results showed that the proposed method could generate significant gestures and facial animations.
