A genetic algorithm （GA） was studied to simultaneously determine the thermal transport properties and the contact resistance of thin films deposited on a thick substrate. A pulsed photothermal reflectance （PPR） system was employed for the measurements. The GA was used to extract the thermal properties. Measurements were performed on SiO2 thin films of different thicknesses on silicon substrate. The results show that the GA accompanied with the PPR system is useful for the simultaneous determination of thermal properties of thin films on a substrate.

This paper presents a MEMS gyroscope control system of using a high-order band-pass continuoustime sigma-delta *** with a low-pass discrete-time sigma-delta modulator based solution,the band-pass modulator can considerably decrease the sampling frequency;moreover,the continuous-time architecture has an obvious advantage on PCB prototyping and shorter lead time of the implementation in *** level simulations using MATLAB/Simulink show the proposed sixth order sigma-delta modulator can achieve a high SNR of 100 dB for an angular rate input with an amplitude of 200/s and a frequency of32 Hz.A PCB circuit implementation is simulated using Orcad/PSpice to analyze the stability,and implemented in *** of the power spectral density of the output bitstream reveals a noise floor of90 dBV/Hz1/*** prototype is tested on a rate table with an angular rate input,verifying that the principle of the approach of using an electro-mechanical band-pass sigma-delta modulator control system for a MEMS gyroscope.

Purpose–This study aims to propose an enhanced eco-driving strategy based on reinforcement learning(RL)to alleviate the mileage anxiety of electric vehicles(EVs)in the connected ***/methodology/approach–In this paper,an enhanced eco-driving control strategy based on an advanced RL algorithm in hybrid action space(EEDC-HRL)is proposed for connected *** EEDC-HRL simultaneously controls longitudinal velocity and lateral lane-changing maneuvers to achieve more potential ***,this study redesigns an all-purpose and efficient-training reward function with the aim to achieve energy-saving on the premise of ensuring other driving ***–To illustrate the performance for the EEDC-HRL,the controlled EV was trained and tested in various traffic flow *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technique can effectively improve energy efficiency,without sacrificing travel efficiency,comfort,safety and lane-changing performance in different traffic flow ***/value–In light of the aforementioned discussion,the contributions of this paper are *** enhanced eco-driving strategy based an advanced RL algorithm in hybrid action space(EEDC-HRL)is proposed to jointly optimize longitudinal velocity and lateral lane-changing for connected EVs.A full-scale reward function consisting of multiple sub-rewards with a safety control constraint is redesigned to achieve eco-driving while ensuring other driving performance.

Ionic Polymer-Metal Composite （IPMC） is a new electro-active polymer, which has the advantages of light weight, flexibility, and large stroke with low driving voltage. Because of these features, IPMC can be applied to bionic robotic actuators, artificial muscles, as well as dynamic sensors. However, IPMC has the major drawback of low generative blocking force. In this paper, in order to enhance the blocking force, the Nation membranes with thickness of 0.22 mm, 0.32 mm, 0.42 mm, 0.64 mm and 0.8 mm were prepared by casting from liquid solution. By employing these Nation membranes, IPMCs with varying thickness were fabricated by electroless plating. The elastic modulus of the casted Nation membranes were obtained by a nano-indenter, and the current, the displacement and the blocking force were respectively measured by the apparatus for actuation test. Finally, the effects of the thickness on the performance of IPMC were analyzed with an electromechanical model. Experimental study and theory analysis indicate that as the thickness increases, the elastic modulus of Nation membrane and the blocking force of IPMC increase, however, the current and the displacement decrease.

This paper reports a new technique to fabricate an ion-exchange polymer-metal composite (IPMC) actuator. This technique is based on a hybrid organic-inorganic composite membrane. In the fabrication course, silica oxide particles, prepared from hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate in situ with sol-gel reaction, co-crystallize with perfluorosulfonate acid (PFSA) ionomer. Attenuated total reflectance fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) analyses demonstrate that a highly water-saving hybrid membrane is formed. Measurements of mechanical properties reveal that elastic modulus and hardness of the hybrid membrane are about 2 times compared to a commercial PFSA membrane. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the hybrid membrane has a high porosity. Inside the membrane pores, there exists a great quantity of micro scale channels in the range of 100―300 nm. After fabrication of IPMC actuator, an electric current sensor, a force sensor, and a high speed camera are assembled and used to evaluate IPMC performance. It is shown that, compared to an IPMC actuator made from a commercial membrane, the electromechanical performance of the new actuator increases 6―8 times; when it is actuated in air, its stable non-water working time is prolonged for 6―7 times.

Inefficient drug penetration hurdled by the stroma in the tumor tissue leads to a diminished therapeutic effect for drugs and a reduced infiltration level of immune ***,we constructed a PEGylated dendritic epirubicin(Epi)prodrug(Epi-P4D)to regulate the metabolism of cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs),thus enhancing Epi penetration into both multicellular tumor spheroids(MTSs)and tumor tissues in mouse colon cancer(CT26),mouse breast cancer(4T1)and human breast cancer(MDA-MB-231)*** cytotoxicity against CT26 MTSs and remarkable antitumor efficacy of Epi-P4D were ascribed to reduced fibronectin,α-SMA,and collagen ***,thinning of the tumor tissue stroma and efficient eradication of tumor cells promoted the immunogenic cell death effect for dendritic cell(DC)maturation and subsequent immune activation,including elevating the CD4^(+)T cell population,reducing CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cell hyperactivation and exhaustion,and amplifying the natural killer(NK)cell proportion and effectively activating *** a result,this dendritic nanomedicine thinned the stroma of tumor tissues to enhance drug penetration and facilitate immune cell infiltration for elevated antitumor efficacy.
