Objective:To explore the anti-inflammatory effects of ethyl lithospermate in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 murine-derived macrophages and zebrafish,and its underlying mechanisms.Methods:3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazoliumbromide(MTT)assays were performed to investigate the toxicity of ethyl lithospermate at different concentrations(12.5–100μmol/L)in RAW 264.7 cells.The cells were stimulated with LPS(100 ng/mL)for 12 h to establish an inflammation model in vitro,the production of proinflammatory cytokines interleukin(IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)were assessed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(eliSA).Western blot was used to ascertain the protein expressions of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3),nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)p65,phospho-STAT3(p-STAT3,Tyr705),inhibitor of NF-κB(IκB)α,and phospho-IκBα(p-IκBα,Ser32),and confocal imaging was used to identify the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 and p-STAT3(Tyr705).Additionally,the yolk sacs of zebrafish(3 days post fertilization)were injected with 2 nL LPS(0.5 mg/mL)to induce an inflammation model in vivo.Survival analysis,hematoxylin-eosin(He)staining,observation of neutrophil migration,and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qR T-PCR)were used to further study the anti-inflammatory effects of ethyl lithospermate and its probable mechanisms in vivo.Results:The non-toxic concentrations of ethyl lithospermate have been found to range from 12.5 to 100μmol/L.ethyl lithospermate inhibited the release of IL-6 and TNF-α(Pecreased IκBαdegradation and phosphorylation(Pell as the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 and p-STAT3(Tyr705)in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells(Pethyl lithospermate also decreased inflammatory cells infiltration and neutrophil migration while increasing the survival rate of LPS-stimulated zebrafish(Pethyl lithospermate also inhibited the mR NA expression levels of of IL-6,TNF-α,IκBα,STAT3,and NF-κB in LPS-stimulated

INVARIANTS-PReSeRVING DU FORT-FRANKeL SCHeMeS AND THeIR ANALYSeS FOR NONliNeAR SCHRÖDINGeR eQUATIONS WITH WAVe OPeRATOR

Du Fort-Frankel finite difference method(FDM)was firstly proposed for linear diffusion equations with periodic boundary conditions by Du Fort and Frankel in 1953.It is an explicit and unconditionally von Neumann stable scheme.However,there has been no research work on numerical solutions of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator by using Du Fort-Frankel-type finite difference methods(FDMs).In this study,a class of invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are firstly proposed for one-dimensional(1D)and two-dimensional(2D)nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator.By using the discrete energy method,it is shown that their solutions possess the discrete energy and mass conservative laws,and conditionally converge to exact solutions with an order of for ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+(T/h_(x))^(2))1D problem and an order ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+h_(Y)^(2)+(T/h_(X))^(2)+(T/h_(y))^(2))for 2D problem in H1-norm.Here,τdenotes time-step size,while,hx and hy represent spatial meshsizes in x-and y-directions,respectively.Then,by introducing a stabilized term,a type of stabilized invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are devised.They not only preserve the discrete energies and masses,but also own much better stability than original schemes.Finally,numerical results demonstrate the theoretical analyses.

An efficient CuZr-based metallic glasses electrode material for electrocatalytic degradation of azo dyes

Metallic glasses have received a lot of attention on wastewater treatment due to their unique atomic structure,and the use of metallic glasses as electrodes has produced unexpected electrocatalytic degradation effects for many pollutants through combining with electrochemical technology.However,it still is a formidable challenge to find a metallic glass electrode material with both efficient and clean for the catalytic degradation of pollutants.In this work,the Cu_(55)Zr_(45)metallic glassy ribbons are used as an electrode to degrade azo dyes and show the excellent degradation effect,which can reach 95.6%within 40 min.In the degradation process,almost no additives are produced and Cu_(55)Zr_(45)metallic glassy ribbons have excellent effects under different pH conditions.Meanwhile,it exhibits good stability for degradation efficiency during the 8 cycle degradation tests of the amorphous alloy electrode.When the copper nanoparticles are exposed on the surface of the ribbons,the oxidized copper obtained synergistically produce activated radicals is the primary degradation mechanism,where the auxiliary degradation mechanisms include electron transfer and the promotion of active chlorine.This research develops a new type of electrode material for wastewater treatment,and the economy and high efficiency of Cu55Zr45metallic glass endow it the expandable functional applications.

Scattering of Water Waves by Dual Symmetric Inclined Floating Porous Barriers Using the DBeM

The scattering of normally incident water waves by two surface-piercing inclined perforated barriers in water with a uniform finite depth is investigated within the framework of linear water wave theory.Considering that thin barriers are zero-thickness,a novel numerical method involving the the coupling of the dual boundary element method(DBeM)with damping layers is applied.In order to effectively damp out the reflected waves,two damping layers,instead of pseudoboundaries are implemented near the two side boundaries of the computational domain.Thus,the modified linearized free surface boundary conditions are formulated and used for solving both the ordinary boundary integral equation as well as the hypersingular boundary integral equation for degenerate boundaries.The newly developed numerical method is validated against analytical methods using the matched eigenfunction expansion method for the special case of two vertical barriers or the inclined angle to the vertical being zero.The influence of the length of the two damping layers has been discussed.Moreover,these findings are also validated against previous results for several cases.After validation,the numerical results for the reflection coefficient,transmission coefficient and dissipation coefficient are obtained by varying the inclination angle and porosity-effect parameter.The effects of both the inclination angle and the porosity on the amplitudes of wave forces acting on both the front and rear barriers are also investigated.It is found that the effect of the inclination angle mainly shifts the location of the extremal values of the reflection and the transmission coefficients.Additionally,a moderate value of the porosity-parameter is quite effective at dissipating wave energy and mitigating the wave loads on dual barriers.

A new method to solve the Reynolds equation including mass-conserving cavitation by physics informed neural networks(PINNs)with both soft and hard constraints

In this work,a new method to solve the Reynolds equation including mass-conserving cavitation by using the physics informed neural networks(PINNs)is proposed.The complementarity relationship between the pressure and the void fraction is used.There are several difficulties in problem solving,and the solutions are provided.Firstly,the difficulty for considering the pressure inequality constraint by PINNs is solved by transferring it into one equality constraint without introducing error.While the void fraction inequality constraint is considered by using the hard constraint with the max-min function.Secondly,to avoid the fluctuation of the boundary value problems,the hard constraint method is also utilized to apply the boundary pressure values and the corresponding functions are provided.Lastly,for avoiding the trivial solution the limitation for the mean value of the void fraction is applied.The results are validated against existing data,and both the incompressible and compressible lubricant are considered.Good agreement can be found for both the domain and domain boundaries.

Current research on text-conditional image generation shows parallel performance with ordinary painters but still has much room for improvement when compared to that of artist-ability paintings,which usually represent multilevel semantics by gathering features ofmultiple objects into one object.In a preliminary experiment,we confirm this and then seek the opinions of three groups of individuals with varying levels of art appreciation ability to determine the distinctions that exist between painters and artists.We then use these opinions to improve an artificial intelligence(AI)painting system from painter-level image generation toward artistic-level image generation.

Non-intrusive Load Monitoring Based on Graph Total Variation for Residential Appliances

Non-intrusive load monitoring is a technique for monitoring the operating conditions of electrical appliances by collecting the aggregated electrical information at the household power inlet. Despite several studies on the mining of unique load characteristics, few studies have extensively considered the high computational burden and sample training. Based on lowfrequency sampling data, a non-intrusive load monitoring algorithm utilizing the graph total variation(GTV) is proposed in this study. The algorithm can effectively depict the load state without the need for prior training. First, the combined Kmeans clustering algorithm and graph signals are used to build concise and accurate graph structures as load models. The GTV representing the internal structure of the graph signal is introduced as the optimization model and solved using the augmented Lagrangian iterative algorithm. The introduction of the difference operator reduces the computing cost and addresses the inaccurate reconstruction of the graph signal. With low-frequency sampling data, the algorithm only requires a little prior data and no training, thereby reducing the computing cost. experiments conducted using the reference energy disaggregation dataset and almanac of minutely power dataset demonstrated the stable superiority of the algorithm and its low computational burden.

ergothioneine,Ovothiol,and Selenoneine are sulfur/selenium-containing histidine-derived natural products widely distributed across different organisms.They exhibit significant antioxidant properties,making them as potential lead compounds for promoting health.Increasing evidence suggests that ergothioneine is positively correlated with healthy ageing and longevity.The mechanisms underlying ergothioneine's regulation of the ageing process at cellular and molecular levels are beginning to be understood.In this review,we provide an in-depth and extensive coverage of the anti-ageing studies on ergothioneine and discuss its possible intracellular targeting pathways.In addition,we highlight the recent efforts in elucidating the biosynthetic details for ergothioneine,Ovothiol,and Selenoneine,with a particular focus on the study of their pharmacophore-forming enzymology.

Study of 26 Galactic Open Clusters with extended Main-sequence Turnoffs

Recent studies indicate that some Galactic open clusters(OCs) exhibit extended main-sequence turnoff(eMSTO)in their color–magnitude diagrams(CMDs). However, the number of Galactic OCs with eMSTO structures detected so far is limited, and the reasons for their formation are still unclear. This work identifies 26 Galactic OCs with undiscovered eMSTOs and investigates the causes of these features. Stellar population types and fundamental parameters of cluster samples are acquired using CMD fitting methods. Among them, the results of 11 OCs are reliable as the observed CMDs are well-reproduced. We propose the crucial role of stellar binarity and confirm the importance of stellar rotation in reproducing eMSTO morphologies. The results also show that the impact of age spread is important, as it can adequately explain the structure of young OCs and fit the observed CMDs of intermediate-age OCs better.

Multimodal Sentiment Analysis Based on a Cross-Modal Multihead Attention Mechanism

Multimodal sentiment analysis aims to understand people’s emotions and opinions from diverse data.Concate-nating or multiplying various modalities is a traditional multi-modal sentiment analysis fusion method.This fusion method does not utilize the correlation information between modalities.To solve this problem,this paper proposes amodel based on amulti-head attention mechanism.First,after preprocessing the original data.Then,the feature representation is converted into a sequence of word vectors and positional encoding is introduced to better understand the semantic and sequential information in the input sequence.Next,the input coding sequence is fed into the transformer model for further processing and learning.At the transformer layer,a cross-modal attention consisting of a pair of multi-head attention modules is employed to reflect the correlation between modalities.Finally,the processed results are input into the feedforward neural network to obtain the emotional output through the classification layer.Through the above processing flow,the model can capture semantic information and contextual relationships and achieve good results in various natural language processing tasks.Our model was tested on the CMU Multimodal Opinion Sentiment and emotion Intensity(CMU-MOSeI)and Multimodal emotionlines Dataset(MeLD),achieving an accuracy of 82.04% and F1 parameters reached 80.59% on the former dataset.
