The key technologies involved in the evolution of the Cloud-based Radio Access Network(C-RAN) are discussed in this paper. Taking the Frameless Network Architecture(FNA) as a starting point, a cell-lessbased network topology for a multi-tier Heterogeneous Network(Het Net) and ultra-dense network is proposed. The FNA network topology modeling is researched with centralized processing and distributed antenna deployments. The Antenna Element(AE) is released as a new dimensional radio resource that is included in the centralized Radio Resource Management(RRM) processes. This contributes to the on-demand user-centric serving-set associations with cell-edge effect elimination. The Control Plane(CP) and User Plane(UP) separation and adaptation are introduced for energy efficiency improvements. The centralized RRM and different optimization goals are discussed for fully exploring the merits from the centralized computing of C-RAN. Considering the complexity, near-optimal approaches for specific users' Quality-of-Service(Qo S) requirements are addressed. Finally, based on the research highlighted above, the way forward of C-RAN evolution is discussed.

The three-dimensional structures of a cellular detonation wave interacting with different turbulent flows were investigated using a one-step irreversible Arrhenius kinetics model. High-resolution bandwidth-optimized WENO scheme of spatial discretization and total variation diminishing temporal integration are used to solve the three dimensional chemically reactive Navier-Stokes equations. The turbulent vertical and entropic forcing effects on the three dimensional detonation wave structures and dynam- ics are analyzed, as well as the detonation effects on tur- bulent vortex structures. It has been found that the turbulence field imposed has created small scale wrinkles embedded in the detonation front, apart from the large scale features of detonation without turbulence. The deto- nation propagating velocity over the leading shock front varies from 0.8 to 1.6 times of CJ velocity and its proba- bility density function （pdf） skews towards sub-CJ velocity and peaks at about 0.9. The recorded detonation velocity always preferentially decays with time, with very rapid accelerations through triple point interactions. Its pdf also skews to sub-CJ velocity, while its overall shape agrees well with W3. The reaction zone is greatly influenced by the vortex, much more irregular and elongated for the turbulent cases. Distributed burning pockets are more likely to be found there. The turbulent kinetic energy is amplified across the detonation, and periodically oscillates downstream the detonation. The off-diagonal components of Reynolds stress also show a rapid rise across the deto- nation and present to be non-zero downstream of detona- tion. Vortex structures are compound results of the convected vortex and the generated vortex by the collision of triple points. The convection term and baroclinic gen- eration term in the transport equation of enstrophy are compared in detail.

The present paper describes experimental investigation on the flow pattern and hydrodynamic effect of underwater gas jets from supersonic and sonic nozzles operated in correct- and imperfect expansion conditions. The flow visualizations show that jetting is the flow regime for the submerged gas injection at a high speed in the parameter range under consideration. The obtained results indicate that high-speed gas jets in still water induce large pressure pulsations upstream of the nozzle exit and the presence of shock-cell structure in the over- and under-expanded jets leads to an increase in the intensity of the jet-induced hydrodynamic pressure.

We perform a Poiseuille flow in a channel linear stability analysis of a inserted with one porous layer in the centre, and focus mainly on the effect of porous filling ratio. The spectral collocation technique is adopted to solve the coupled linear stability problem. We investigate the effect of permeability, σ, with fixed porous filling ratio ψ = 1/3 and then the effect of change in porous filling ratio. As shown in the paper, with increasing σ, almost each eigenvalue on the upper left branch has two subbranches at ψ = 1/3. The channel flow with one porous layer inserted at its middle （ψ = 1/3） is more stable than the structure of two porous layers at upper and bottom walls with the same parameters. By decreasing the filling ratio ψ, the modes on the upper left branch are almost in pairs and move in opposite directions, especially one of the two unstable modes moves back to a stable mode, while the other becomes more instable. It is concluded that there are at most two unstable modes with decreasing filling ratio ψ. By analyzing the relation between ψ and the maximum imaginary part of the streamwise phase speed, Cimax, we find that increasing Re has a destabilizing effect and the effect is more obvious for small Re, where ψ a remarkable drop in Cimax can be observed. The most unstable mode is more sensitive at small filling ratio ψ, and decreasing ψ can not always increase the linear stability. There is a maximum value of Cimax which appears at a small porous filling ratio when Re is larger than 2 000. And the value of filling ratio 0 corresponding to the maximum value of Cimax in the most unstable state is increased with in- creasing Re. There is a critical value of porous filling ratio （= 0.24） for Re = 500; the structure will become stable as ψ grows to surpass the threshold of 0.24; When porous filling ratio ψ increases from 0.4 to 0.6, there is hardly any changes in the values of Cimax. Major earthquakes of last 15 years （e.g., Northridge 1994, Kobe 1995 and Chi-Chi 1999） have shown that many near-fault ground motions possess prominent acceleration pulses. Some of the prominent ground acceleration pulses are related to large ground velocity pulses, others are caused by mechanisms that are totally different from those causing the velocity pulses or fling steps. Various efforts to model acceleration pulses have been reported in the literature. In this paper, research results from a recent study of acceleration pulse prominent ground motions and an analysis of structural damage induced by acceleration pulses are summarized. The main results of the study include：（1） temporal characteristics of acceleration pulses; （2） ductility demand spectrum of simple acceleration pulses with respect to equivalent classes of dynamic systems and pulse characteristic parameters; and （3） estimation of fundamental period change under the excitation of strong acceleration pulses. By using the acceleration pulse induced linear acceleration spectrum and the ductility demand spectrum, a simple procedure has been developed to estimate the ductility demand and the fundamental period change of a reinforced concrete （RC） structure under the impact of a strong acceleration pulse.
