Generalized adaptive subspace detector for range-Doppler spread target with high resolution radar

A generalized adaptive subspace detector for range-Doppler spread target(RDST-GASD)in the non-Gaussian clutter is derived in this *** subspace model of multi-pulse wideband radar target returns is established in the frequency-slow time *** clutters are modeled as nonhomogeneous spherically invariant random vectors(SIRVs);that is,the power of the clutter is different from one range cell to *** clutter covariance matrix is estimated with the secondary *** constant false alarm rate(CFAR)property of RDST-GASD with respect to both the power and the covariance matrix of the clutter is demonstrated *** that there is target range walking across range cells during a coherent processing interval(CPI)for wideband radar,the RDST-GASD does range alignment to the multiple returns of the target in a *** a result,the coherent integration is implemented and the detection performance is improved.

2-dimensional Principal Component Analysis （2DPCA） has received more and more attentions in recent years,since it can evaluate the covariance matrix more accurate than PCA in extracting features from 2-dimensional images. However,a drawback of 2DPCA is that it needs more features than PCA because 2DPCA only eliminates the correlations between rows. In this paper,two-stage 2DPCA is proposed to extract features from synthetic aperture radar （SAR） images to further compress the dimension of features and decrease the recognition computation. Experimental results based on MSTAR data indicate that two-stage 2DPCA can decrease feature dimensions significantly,and the target recognition performance can be improved at the same time.

According to the relationship of wavelet transform and perfect reconstructive FIR filter banks, this paper presents a real-time chip with adaptive Dorioho’s non-linear soft-threshold for denoising in different levels of multi-scale space through rearranging the input data during convolving, filtering and sub-sampling. And more important, it gives a simple iterative algorithm to calculate the variance of the noise in interregna with no signal. It works well whether the signal or noise is stationary or not.

A fast correlation algorithm in SAR imaging is presented to lower down the computation burden of range compression and azimuth focusing *** is based on the decomposition method of *** order to minimize the computation amount,the relationship of number of padding zeroes and the decomposition scheme to computation complexity is investigated,which is dependent on the number of correlation filter coefficient *** for different numbers of correlation filter coefficient taps,the number of padding zeroes and decomposition scheme are *** algorithm is superior in computational efficiency compared with other *** is applied to real time SAR imaging and proved to be effective in computation.

A novel method called the general waterfilling,which is suitable when clutter is not negligible,is proposed to solve the waveform design problem of broadband radar for the recognition of multiple extended *** uncertainty of the target’s radar signatures is decreased via maximizing the mutual information between a random extended target and the received ***,the general water-filling method is employed to the waveform design problem for multiple extended targets identification to increase the separability of multiple *** results evaluated the efficiency of the proposed *** to chirp signal and water-filling signal,our method improves the classification rates and even performs better at low signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR).
