We examine the repeatabilities of oblique-incidence reflectivity difference(OIRD) method for label-free detecting biological molecular interaction using protein *** experimental results show that the repeatabilities are the same in a given microarray or microarray-microarray and are consistent,indicating that OIRD is a promising label-free detection technique for biological microarrays.

BACKGROUND Adrenal primitive neuroectodermal tumor(PNET) is an extremely rare malignant tumor with poor prognosis and of neural crest origin. Herein, we report a case of adrenal PNET and summarized its clinical and pathological characteristics on the basis of 16 patients reported *** SUMMARY A female patient aged 25 years presented with right lumbago for 12 mo, and preoperative computed tomography showed a huge right adrenal mass. She received tumorectomy, and post-operative pathological examination showed adrenal PNET. After surgery, she underwent adjuvant chemotherapy and was followed up 31 mo after surgery. She received brachytherapy for right paracolic and hepatic metastases. She was alive and followed up for 60 mo. In available studies, only 57.14%(4/7) and 44.44%(4/9) were positive for the expression of neuron-specific enolase and synaptophysin, respectively, although CD99 expression was found in all the patients(100%; 10/10).CONCLUSION It is concluded that adrenal PNET is very rare and highly malignant, and histology is a golden standard in its diagnosis. Surgery and adjuvant therapy is the main treatment.

(2S, 3R)-2-acetooxymethanyl-3-(P-nitrophenyl)-N-tosylaziridine 5 was synthesized from (1S, 2S)-2-amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1, 3-propanediol 1 in four steps with a 24.8% overall yield. This reaction is stereospecific and occurs an expectable configuration inversion at α-carbon atom of benzyl group. The structure of substituted aziridine was determined on FT-IR, NMR, MS and so on.

Study on the Rapid Method to Predict Longevity of Controlled Release Fertilizer Coated by Water Soluble Resin

The study discussed the rapid method to test and predict the longevity of controlled release fertilizers （CRFs） coated by water soluble resin by using the short-term leaching under higher temperature. Pure water dissolving incubation and higher temperature leaching were used to study the patterns of the nutrient release of the CRFs. The correlation analysis between the days at 25℃ and the hours at 80℃ of Trincote 1 and Trincote 2 for the same cumulative release rates were conducted. Patterns of cumulative nutrient release curve followed one factor quadratic regression equation at each given temperatures, and each of relative coefficient was bigger than 0.995. As the temperature increased, nutrients release of the CRFs increased. The longevity of resin coated CRFs were predicted by use of both the cumulative nutrients release equation at 80℃ and the regression equation of release time needed for the same cumulative release rates between 25 and 80℃. There were only 0.3-6.9% relative errors between the tested longevity and predicted one. In conclusion, the longevity of resin coated CRFs could be predicted more quickly and precisely by use of the higher temperature short-term leaching method than that of the traditional differential release rate. The longevity of resin coated CRF could be rapidly and precisely predicted in a few hours by application of the higher temperature shortterm leaching method.

Flat geotubes are widely used for coastal structures such as seawalls, breakwaters and sightseeing groins, etc.. However, the understanding of the stable mechanism involved in the wave-structure interactions should be deepened, and one of the important work is to clarify the stress state of the structure under the wave action. In this article, wave force acting on coastal structures made of flat geotube is experimentally investigated. The required drag, inertia and lift coefficients are especially analyzed from the results of hydraulic model experiments specially designed for geotube structure. Several types of structures made of flat geotubes under wave action have been tested in order to understand the stress state of the geotube fixed to force transducer within different structures. Experimental results show that the wave-induced forces on the instrumented geotube are markedly influenced by wave elements. Meanwhile, the magnitude of horizontal force of adjoining geotube is different at the same time.

Red blood cell(RBC)-mimicking nanoparticles(NPs) offer a promising platform for drug delivery because of their prolonged circulation time, reduced immunogenicity and specific targeting ability. Herein, we report the design and preparation of RBC membrane-bound NPs(M@AP), for tumoral photodynamic-immunotherapy. The M@AP is formed by self-assembly of the positively charged aggregation-induced emission luminogen(AIEgen)(named P2-PPh3) and the negatively charged polyinosinic : polycytidylic acid(Poly(I : C)), followed by RBC membrane encapsulation. P2-PPh3 is an AIE-active conjugated polyelectrolyte with additional photosensitizing ability for photodynamic therapy(PDT), while Poly(I : C) serves as an immune-stimulant to stimulate both tumor and immune cells to activate immunity, and thus reduces tumor cell viability. When applied in tumor-bearing mice, the M@AP NPs are enriched in both the tumor region as a result of an enhanced permeability and retention(EPR)effect, and the spleen because of the homing effect of the RBC-mimicking shell. Upon light irradiation,P2-PPh3 promotes strong ROS generation in tumor cells, inducing the release of tumor antigens(TA). The anti-tumor immunity is further enhanced by the presence of Poly(I : C) in M@AP. Thus, this strategy combines the PDT properties of the AIE-active polyelectrolyte and immunotherapy properties of Poly(I : C) to achieve synergistic activation of the immune system for anti-tumor activity, providing a novel strategy for tumor treatment.
