In this paper, a three-species system consisting of two predators which are in mutualism with each other and preying on the same single prey is considered. Also, the prey and first predator are harvested under optimal conditions. The values of the biological parameters depend on the collection of data from the experts as well as on the nature of the environment in which prey–predator system are considered. So the biological parameters are not precise in reality. This paper presents a different approach to study the prey–predator model with imprecise biological parameters. All the possible equilibrium points are identified and the local as well as global stability criteria under impreciseness are discussed. The possibility of existence of bionomic equilibrium is discussed. The optimal harvesting policy is studied using pontryagin’s maximum principle. Numerical examples are provided to support the proposed approach.

We propose a method to estimate the natural frequencies of the multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） embedded in an elastic medium. Each of the nested tubes is treated as an individual bar interacting with the adjacent nanotubes through the inter-tube Van der Waals forces. The effect of the elastic medium is introduced through an elastic model. The mathematical model is finally reduced to an eigen value problem and the eigen value problem is solved to arrive at the inter-tube resonances of the MWCNTs. Variation of the natural frequencies with different parameters are studied. The estimated results from the present method are compared with the literature and results are observed to be in close agreement.

On the heterogeneous and no lane disciplined traffic, the abreast maneuver of vehicles depends upon the driver behavior, vehicle type and most importantly the traffic parameters such as vehicle speed and acceleration. Hence, the drivers have two basic tasks while driving, first is to control the vehicle＇s position along longitudinal direction of motion and second is to control the vehicle＇s position along lateral direction i.e. the width of the roadway. The relation between the dynamic parameters （speed and lateral/longitudinal acceleration）, can very well represent the driving behavior of vehicles in mixed with weak or no lane disciplined traffic. Hence, the study of longitudinal and lateral control of vehicles in a comprehensive manner is necessary. In the present paper, driving behavior of vehicles are studied by analyzing longitudinal and lateral acceleration/deceleration （A/d） with operating speed of vehicles on different straight roadway sections. data are collected from five major cities of India using GpS based instrument （Video-VBOX） mounted on five different type of vehicles. The probability distribution of longitudinal A/d and the lateral acceleration are analysed, and their relationship with operating speed of vehicles are studied on roads with a different number of lanes for different vehicle types. A two-term exponential and linear relationship with operating speed are observed for lateral and longitudinal A/d respectively.

BACKGROUNd platelet transfusion in acute variceal bleeding(AVB)is recommended by few guidelines and is common in routine clinical practice,even though the effect of thrombocytopenia and platelet transfusion on the outcomes of AVB is *** To determine how platelet counts,platelets transfusions,and fresh frozen plasma transfusions affect the outcomes of AVB in cirrhosis patients in terms of bleeding control,rebleeding,and *** prospectively maintained database was used to analyze the outcomes of cirrhosis patients who presented with *** outcomes were assessed as the risk of rebleeding at days 5 and 42,and risk of death at day 42,considering the platelet counts and platelet *** score matching(pSM)was used to compare the outcomes in those who received platelet *** comparisons were done using Kaplan-Meier curves with log-rank tests and Coxproportional hazard model for rebleeding and for 42-d *** The study included 913 patients,with 83.5%men,median age 45 years,and Model for End-stage Liver disease score *** countd>50×10^(9)/L were found in 23(2.5%),168(18.4%),and 722(79.1%)patients,*** rates were similar between the three platelet groups on days 5 and 42(13%,6.5%,and 4.7%,respectively,on days 5,p=0.150;and 21.7%,17.3%,and 14.4%,respectively,on days 42,p=0.433).At day 42,the mortality rates for the three platelet groups were also similar(13.0%,23.2%,and 17.2%,respectively,p=0.153).On pSM analysis patients receiving platelets transfusions(n=89)had significantly higher rebleeding rates on day 5(14.6%vs 4.5%;p=0.039)and day 42(32.6%vs 15.7%;p=0.014),compared to those who didn'*** mortality rates were also higher among patients receiving platelets(25.8%vs 23.6%;p=0.862),although the difference was not *** multivariate analysis,platelet transfusion and not platelet count,was independently associated with 42-d *** e

The importance of rapid tooling (RT) and additive manufacturing (AM) appears to be indispensable for boosting the process of manufacturing and expanding the horizon of production technology worldwide. This concept draws the attention of numerous scholars to arrive at a conclusive theory for the widespread utilization of RT. This study attempts to determine the viability and performance of an RT electrode in the field of electro discharge machining (EdM). The electrode prototype is made using an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic by fused deposition modeling (FdM), an AM technique, electroplated with copper of desired thickness, and used in die sinking EdM of d2 steel. The scanning electron microscope analysis of the electroplated samples confirms that it is possible to obtain the desired thickness of the metal by electroplating on any electrically conductive surfaces. In the present work, an experimental study is performed for examining the electroplated copper thickness of the plastic EdM electrode and its performances. It is found that the electroplated ABS plastic EdM RT electrode successfully performs the machining operation of d2 steel, and the results are comparable with a solid electrode. The study reveals that the RT electrode can be regarded as a viable tool for rough cutting or semi-finishing cut EdM functions. The experimental results are thoroughly discussed, examined, analyzed, and evaluated for the purpose of developing the appropriate form of the concept.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of daily consumption of bamboo shoots (BS) on the morphological features and functional status of the female reproductive system in adult with respect to ***: Adult female rats were divided into control and experimental groups of six each. Control group was given normal diet while experimental group was fed BS by 1/3rd replacement of 180 g of their foodi.e.60 g of BS containing 35 g of goitrogens of cyanogenic origin such that each rat likely consumed 6 mg/100 g of body weight per day for a period of 45 d. Morphological features like changes in body weight and organ weight were noted. Key steroidogenic enzyme levels viz?53β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (HSd) and 17β HSd along with serum estradiol, estriol and progesterone levels were measured. Estrous cyclicity of the animals monitored regularly followed by histological analysis of thyroid, ovary and uterus at the end of ***:Increase in body weight, thyroid gland weight and thyroid stimulating hormone, decrease in serum triiodothyronine and thyroxine, a decrease in ovarian as well as uterine weight and the activity of steroidogenic enzymes?53β HSd andβ17β HSd along with diminished serum estradiol, estriol and progesterone levels were noted;while histological plates showed prominent degenerative changes in both the ovary and uterus. Estrous cyclicity of the treated animals were irregular and almost stopped at diestrous stage of the cycle in the latter stage of the treatment as compared to ***: Overall results indicates that BS rich in cyanogenic constituents induces biochemical hypothyroidism in the experimental animals that acts in corroboration to cause morphological and functional alteration of reproductive organs indicating its likely impact in fertility on continued use.
