Electrochemical filtration for drinking water purification:A review on membrane materials,mechanisms and roles

Electrochemical filtration can not only enrich low concentrations of pollutants but also produce reactive oxygen species to interact with toxic pollutants with the assistance of a power supply,making it an effective strategy for drinking water *** addition,the application of electrochemical filtration facilitates the reduction of pretreatment procedures and the use of chemicals,which has outstanding potential for maximizing process simplicity and reducing operating costs,enabling the production of safe drinking water in smaller *** recent years,the research on electrochemical filtration has gradually increased,but there has been a lack of attention on its application in the removal of low concentrations of pollutants from low conductivity *** this review,membrane substrates and electrocatalysts used to improve the performance of electrochemical membranes are briefly ***,the application prospects of emerging single-atom catalysts in electrochemical filtration are also ***,several electrochemical advanced oxidation processes coupled with membrane filtration are described,and the related working mechanisms and their advantages and shortcomings used in drinking water purification are ***,the roles of electrochemical filtration in drinking water purification are presented,and the main problems and future perspectives of electrochemical filtration in the removal of low concentration pollutants are discussed.

Scaling laws governing the elastic properties of 3d graphenes

In this study,we comprehensively investigated the scaling law for elastic properties of three-dimensional honeycomb-like graphenes(3d graphenes)using hybrid neural network potential-based molecular dynamics simulations and theoretical *** elastic constants were obtained as functions of honeycomb hole size,denoted by the graphene wall length *** five independent elastic constants in the large-L limit are proportional to L^(-1).The associated coefficients are combinations of elastic constants of two-dimensional ***-order terms including L^(-2)and L^(-3)emerge for finite L *** have three origins,the distorted areas close to the joint lines of 3d graphenes,the variation in solid angles between graphene plates,and the bending distortion of graphene ***,the chirality becomes essential with decreasing L because the joint line structures are different between the armchair and zigzag-type 3d *** findings provide insights into the elastic properties of graphene-based superstructures and can be used for further studies on graphene-based materials.

Spatially resolved transcriptomics(SRT)is capable of comprehensively characterizing gene expression patterns and providing an unbiased image of spatial *** fully understand the organizational complexity and tumor immune escape mechanism,we propose stMGATF,a multiview graph attention fusion model that integrates gene expression,histological images,spatial location,and gene *** better extract information,stMGATF exploits SimCLRv2 for visual feature exaction and employs edge feature enhanced graph attention networks for the learning potential embedding of each view.A global attention mechanism is used to adaptively integrate 3 views to obtain low-dimensional *** to diverse SRT datasets,stMGATF is robust and outperforms other methods in detecting spatial domains and denoising data even with different resolutions and *** particular,stMGATF contributes to the elucidation of tissue heterogeneity and extraction of 3-dimensional expression ***,considering the associations between genes in tumors,stMGATF can identify the spatial dark genes ignored by traditional methods,which can be used to predict tumor-driving transcription factors and reveal tumor immune escape mechanisms,providing theoretical evidence for the development of new immunotherapeutic strategies.

Accurate measurement of the three-dimensional(3d)movement of discrete particles is crucial for comprehending complex granular rheology in *** this paper,the acceleration and angular velocity of particles in 3d silos are measured by using a spherical detector based on inertial technology and magnetic positioning *** acceleration of particles is the largest in the center of silos,which suggest that the resistance generated by friction and extrusion is the ***,the angular velocity distribution follows lognormal function except for particles near the *** correlation between acceleration and angular velocity is opposite in different flow *** reveals for the first time that the extent to which the resultant force on the particles affects their rotational motion is related to the flow *** results have practical significance for regulating the granular flow pattern and optimizing the structural design of silos.

Polymer-based circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)materials with the advantage of diversified structure,easy fabrication,high thermal stability,and tunable properties have garnered considerable ***,adequate and precise tuning over CPL in polymer-based materials remains challenging due to the difficulty in regulating chiral ***,visualized full-color CPL is achieved by doping red,green,and blue quantum dots(Qds)into reconfigurable blue phase liquid crystal elastomers(BPLCEs).In contrast to the CPL signal observed in cholesteric liquid crystal elastomers(CLCEs),the chiral 3d cubic superstructure of BPLCEs induces an opposite CPL ***,this effect is entirely independent of photonic bandgaps(PBGs)and results in a high glum value,even without matching between PBGs and the emission bands of ***,the lattice structure of the BPLCEs can be reversibly switched via mechanical stretching force,inducing on-off switching of the CPL signals,and these variations can be further fixed using dynamic disulfide bonds in the ***,the smart polymer-based CPL systems using the BPLCEs for anti-counterfeiting and information encryption have been demonstrated,suggesting the great potential of the BPLCEs-based CPL active materials.

A case study of continental shelf waves in the northwestern South China Sea induced by winter storms in 2021

This study aims to investigate characteristics of continental shelf wave(CSW)on the northwestern continental shelf of the South China Sea(SCS)induced by winter storms in *** and cruise observations,tidal gauge data at stations Hong Kong,Zhapo and Qinglan and sea surface wind data from January 1 to February 28,2021 are used to examine the relationship between along-shelf wind and sea level *** events of CSWs driven by the along-shelf sea surface wind are detected from wavelet spectra of tidal gauge *** signals are triply peaked at periods of 56 h,94 h and 180 h,propagating along the coast with phase speed ranging from 6.9 m/s to18.9 m/*** dispersion relation shows their property of the Kelvin mode of *** develop a simple method to estimate amplitude of sea surface fluctuation by along-shelf *** results are comparable with the observation data,suggesting it is *** mode 2 CSWs fits very well with the mooring current velocity *** results from rare current help to understand wave-current interaction in the northwestern SCS.
