Bioactive calcium phosphate coatings were deposited by radio-frequency magnetron sputtering from biphasic targets of hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate,sintered at different mass%*** to Raman scattering and X-ray diffraction data,the deposited hydroxyapatite coatings have a disordered ***-temperature treatment of the coatings in air leads to a transformation of the quasi-amorphous structure into a crystalline one.A correlation has been observed between the increase in the Ca content in the coatings and a subsequent decrease in Ca in the biphasic targets after a series of deposition *** was proposed that the addition of tricalcium phosphate to the targets would led to a finer coating's surface topography with the average size of 78 nm for the structural elements.

The GC-Ion Trap MS is recently one of the most efficient instrumental analysis recommended for understanding the chemistry of volatile organic compounds, not only in water but even in the food chain and other environmental media (air and soil). Results of the experiment conducted on water samples from kuguri and Yatsutani sampling stations showed considerably higher levels of organic enrichment (COd = 10 mg/L and 11 mg/L respectively). Total concentrations of Pb (0.072 mg/L and 0.093 mg/L) and Cd (0.004 mg/L and 0.011 mg/L) on the other hand, invariably exceeded the maximum allowable concentrations for human health and the living environment (Pb = 0.005 mg/L; Cd = 0.001 mg/L respectively). And the toxicity levels for these contaminants at LC50 showed critical impact on rainbow trout (hypersensitive species) at 0.14 mg/L for Pb and 0.007 mg/L for Cd in 96 hours respectively. Although these major contaminants including phenol and 3-, 4-cresol, showed relatively higher toxicity impact in the experimental media, it would remain contentious to justify any associated potential dangers without regular routine water monitoring, at least for a period of one year. Nevertheless, the data could serve as a benchmark through which other phenomena can easily be investigated.

The Bikaner-Nagaur and Barmer Basins(Rajasthan)are the most important petroliferous sedimentary basins in *** over a decade,the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in these ***-Eocene age rocks bear organic-rich sediments in these basins,including lignite and carbonaceous shale *** present research investigates the source rock properties,petroleum potential and thermal maturity of the carbonaceous shale partings from the lignite mines of Gurha(Bikaner-Nagaur Basin)and kapurdi(Barmer Basin)using petrographical and geochemical *** carbonaceous shales have high organic matter(OM),with considerable total organic carbon(TOC)contents ranging from 13%to 39%.Furthermore,they contain hydrogen-rich kerogen,including types II and II/III,as evidenced by the Rock-Eval and elemental analysis *** existence of these kerogen types indicates the abundance of reactive(vitrinite and liptinite)***,the carbonaceous shales from the Bikaner–Nagaur Basin have oil generation potentials,with a high hydrogen index(up to 516 mg HC/g TOC)and a H/C ratio(up to 1.5)along with a significant presence of oil-prone liptinitic *** from the geochemical and petrological results,the studied shales have low huminite reflectance(0.31%–0.48%),maximum temperature(S_(2) peak;Tmax)between 419℃ and 429℃,and low production index values(PI:0.01–0.03).These results indicate that these carbonaceous shales contain immature OM,and thereby,they cannot yet release commercial amount of *** immaturity level in the studied outcrop section is due to the shallow burial *** proxies further indicate the presence of both oil and gas-prone source rocks.

Low-dimensional nanomaterials such as graphene can be used as a reinforcing agent in building materials to enhance the strength and durability. Common building materials burnt red soil bricks and fly ash bricks were reinforced with various amounts of graphene, and the effect of graphene on the strength of these newly developed nanocomposites was studied. The fly ash brick nanocomposite samples were cured as per their standard curing time, and the burnt red soil brick nanocomposite samples were merely dried in the sun instead of being subjected to the traditional heat treatment for days to achieve sufficient strength. The water absorption ability of the fly ash bricks was also discussed. The compressive strength of all of the graphene-reinforced nanocomposite samples was tested, along with that of some standard (without graphene) composite samples with the same dimensions, to evaluate the effects of the addition of various amounts of graphene on the compressive strength of the bricks.

Understanding the characteristics and variations of heat exchange and evaporation of lakes is important for regional water resource management and sustainable *** on eddy covariance measurements over Lake Vanajavesi in southern Finland,characteristics of energy fluxes and cold frontal effects on energy exchange were *** lake acted as a heat sink in spring and summer and a heat source in *** latent heat flux reached its minimum value in the morning and peaked in the *** diurnal variation of sensible heat flux was opposite to that of latent heat *** factors for the sensible heat flux were mainly the lake-air temperature difference and the product of lake-air temperature difference and wind *** latent heat flux was mainly affected by the vapor pressure deficit and the product of vapor pressure deficit and wind *** annual mean values of bulk transfer coefficients for momentum,heat,and water vapor were 1.98×10^(-3),1.62×10^(-3),and 1.31×10^(-3),*** transfer coefficients for heat and water vapor were not equal,indicating that the parameterization of energy exchange in numerical models,where the assumption that the heat coefficient equals the water vapor coefficient needs *** the ice-free season,cold fronts resulted in 28 sensible heat pulses and 17 latent heat pulses,contributing to 50.59%and 34.89%of sensible and latent heat exchange in Lake *** results indicate that cold fronts significantly impact the surface energy budget and evaporation over lakes.

The Hall and ion-slip effects on fully developed electrically conducting couple stress fluid flow between vertical parallel plates in the presence of a temperature dependent heat source are investigated. The governing non-linear partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. The resulting equations are then solved using the homotopy analysis method （HAM）. The effects of the magnetic parameter, Hall parameter, ion-slip parameter and couple stress fluid parameter on velocity and temperature are discussed and shown graphically

The transformation of natural habitats into human-modified landscapes has far-reaching consequences for species distribution and abundance. As species adapt to these changing environments, shifts in distribution patterns,niche dynamics, and interspecies interactions may occur, impacting biodiversity at multiple levels and potentially leading to ecosystem imbalances. This study aims to assess the impact of variations in vegetation composition and human disturbance on the distribution of sympatric breeding birds and to determine the extent of niche overlap or differentiation among these species. We conducted field surveys and collected data on bird distribution, vegetation composition, and level of human disturbance in eastern Inner Mongolian grasslands. We focused on the six most frequently co-occurring breeding birds, representing a mix of sparrows, larks, and corvids. Generalized Additive Models revealed varying responses of species occurrence along habitat *** like the Eurasian Skylark(Alauda arvensis), Mongolian Lark(Melanocorypha mongolica), and Asian Shorttoed Lark(Calandrella cheleensis), increased in larger and more connected habitats, while others, like the Tree Sparrow(Passer montanus), Eurasian Magpie(Pica pica), and Barn Swallow(Hirundo rustica), adapted to more fragmented habitats. Niche analysis indicated habitat generalists tended to occupy larger niches than grassland specialists. Substantial niche overlap was also found among the six co-occurring bird species. Conservation efforts should consider the specific needs of specialist species and strive to maintain or restore critical grassland habitats. Additionally, promoting sustainable agricultural practices that balance the needs of birds and human activities can contribute to the coexistence of generalist and specialist bird species in modified landscapes.

dear Editor,Penile fracture is an infrequent urologic emergency with a nationwide incidence of 1 in 100000 men in the United States.1 Blunt trauma during sexual intercourse(penile-perineal impact)is the primary cause of penile fracture,but a variety of alternative mechanisms of injury have been reported in the literature.2 The vast majority of penile fractures occur in the external corpus cavernosum and manifest with the classic“eggplant deformity.”The location of these fractures makes them amenable to repair through a circumcising,degloving incision.
