TiO_(2)-b/anatase nanotubes doped by vanadium have been synthesized through a facile one-step hydrothermal *** material shows a mesoporous structure with a specific surface area of 179.1 m^(2)g^(-1).XPS data presume the presence of v^(3+),v^(4+),v^(5+),and Ti^(3+) in doped TiO2-b/*** found by XRd and EIS investigations,the vanadium expands bronze titania crystal structure and enhances the conductivity of material by three orders of *** tested for lithium storage,the v-modified titania nanotubes show a specific capacity of 133 mA h g^(-1) after 100 charge/discharge cycles at the current density of 3000 mA g^(-1) with a Coulombic efficiency of around 98.9%,resulting in its good *** material still possesses a reversible capacity of 114 mA h g^(-1) at a very high current load of 6000 mA g^(-1),demonstrating superior rate characteristics for secondary lithium ***,v-doped Ti O2-b/anatase mesoporous nanotubes show promise performance as anode material for sodium-ion batteries,delivering about 119 mA h g^(-1) and 101 m A h g^(-1) at the current loads of 10 and 1500 m A g^(-1),respectively.

both numerical and experimental studies of the stability and electronic properties of barium–sodium metaborate ba_(2)Na_(3)(b_(3)O_(6))_(2)F(P63/m) at pressures up to 10 GPa have been carried out. Electronic-structure calculations with HSE06 hybrid functional showed that ba_(2)Na_(3)(b_(3)O_(6))_(2)F has an indirect band gap of 6.289 ev. A numerical study revealed the decomposition of ba_(2)Na_(3)(b_(3)O_(6))_(2)F into the bab_(2)O_(4),Na bO_(2), and NaF phases above 3.4 GPa at 300 K. Subsequent high-pressure high-temperature experiments performed using ‘discoverer-1500’dIA-type apparatus at pressures of 3 and 6 GPa and temperature of 1173 K confirmed the stability of ba_(2)Na_(3)(b_(3)O_(6))_(2)F at 3 GPa and its decomposition into bab_(2)O_(4), NabO_(2), and NaF at 6 GPa, which was verified by energy-dispersive X-ray analysis and Raman spectroscopy. The observed Raman bands of the ba_(2)Na_(3)(b_(3)O_(6))_(2)F phase were assigned by comparing the experimental and calculated spectra. The experimental Raman spectra of decomposition reaction products obtained at 6 GPa suggest the origin of a new high-pressure modification of barium metaborate bab_(2)O_(4).

This paper presents an analytical study of creeping motion of a permeable sphere in a spherical container filled with a micro-polar fluid. The drag experienced by the permeable sphere when it passes through the center of the spherical container is studied. Stream function solutions for the flow fields are obtained in terms of modified bessel functions and Gegenbauer functions. The pressure fields, the micro-rotation components, the drag experienced by a permeable sphere, the wall correction factor, and the flow rate through the permeable surface are obtained for the frictionless impermeable spherical container and the zero shear stress at the impermeable spherical container. variations of the drag force and the wall correction factor with respect to different fluid parameters are studied. It is observed that the drag force, the wall correction factor, and the flow rate are greater for the frictionless impermeable spherical container than the zero shear stress at the impermeable spherical container. Several cases of interest are deduced from the present analysis.

In this work,the micromechanical properties,crystallographic texture,welding residual stresses and their evolution after plastic strain were investigated in a Ti-6Al-4v alloy tungsten inert gas weld *** was found that the welding process affected the Young modulus and microhardness values in bothαandβphases in the different regions of the weld *** highest microhardness and Young modulus values of a phase were recorded in the heat-affected zone,whereas the highest values of these characteristics for theβphase were found in the fusion zone(FZ).The change in the micro mechanical properties was accompanied by a change in the crystallographic texture components of the dominant a phase from(0001)and(11-20)components in the base material to(10-10)and(11-20)components in the *** introduction of tensile testing resulted in a continuous stress relaxation and improved the weld joint performances.

For the first time,the changes in autofluorescence spectra of ex vivo rat skin have been experimentally investigated using the combination of fluorescence spectroscopy and optical immersion *** glucose,glycerol and propylene glycol solutions were used as clearing *** optical clearing was performed from the dermal side of skin imitating the in vivo injection of clearing agent under the dermal *** this contribution,the common properties of autofluorescence variation during optical immersion clearing were *** tendency of autofluorescence signal to decrease with reduction of scattering in tissue was noticed and discussed in ***,the differences in the shape of spectral curves under application of different clearing agents showed that optical clearing affects the autofluorescence properties of tissue differently depending on the type of clearing *** results obtained are useful for the understanding of tissue optical clearing mechanisms and for improving techniques such as fluorescence spectroscopy.

Selective formation of pharmaceutical intermediates like diphenylmethane, dimethyldiphenylmethane, benzyl toluene and benzoic acid by liquid phase, toluene benzylation with benzyl chloride as a benzylating agent, was systematically studied over plane clay （K-10, montmorillonite）, plane H-beta, plane MFI structured titanosilicate （TS-1） and heteropoly acids [HPA, namely dodecatungstophosphoric acid [H3PO4.12WOa-xH2O] （TPA）, dodeca-molybdo phosphoric acid ammonium salt hydrate [H12Mo12N3040P＋aq] （dMAA）, sodium tungstate hydrated purified [Na12WO4.2H2O] （STH）] supported on clay, H-beta and TS-1. The 20%TPA/Clay, 30%TPA/H-beta and 30%TPA/TS-1, were observed to be the best catalyst samples over plane clay, plane H-beta and plane TS-1. The catalyst samples are compared with respect to benzyl chloride conversion and selectivities for diphenylmethane, dimethyl-diphenylmethane, benzyl toluene and benzoic acid. The reaction follows the pseudo-first order rate power law model. The apparent rate constants are calculated and compared with the reported ones.

The problem of fragmentation(disintegration) process is theoretically studied with allowance for the initial particle volume. An exact analytical solution of integro-differential model governing the fragmentation phenomenon is obtained. The key role of a finite initial volume of particles leading to substantial changes of the particle-size distribution function is demonstrated.

Nickel hydroxide was used as the positive electrode material in rechargeable alkaline batteries, which plays a significant role in the field of electric energy storage devices. β-nickel hydroxide（β-Ni（OH）2 ） was prepared from nickel sulphate solution using potassium hydroxide as a precipitating agent. Pure β-phase of nickel hydroxide was confirmed from XRd and FT-IR studies. The effects of TiO2 additive on the β-Ni（OH）2 electrode performance are examined. The structure and property of the TiO2 added β-Ni（OH）2 were characterized by XRd, TG-dTA and SEM analysis. A pasted–type electrode is prepared using nickel hydroxide powder as the main active material on a nickel sheet as a current collector. Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies were performed to evaluate the electrochemical performance of the β-Ni（OH）2 and TiO2 added β-Ni（OH）2 electrodes in 6 M KOH electrolyte. Anodic（Epa） and cathodic（Epc）peak potentials are found to decrease after the addition of TiO 2 into β-Ni（OH）2 electrode material. Further,addition of TiO2 is found to enhance the reversibility of the electrode reaction and also increase the separation of the oxidation current peak of the active material from the oxygen evolution current. Compared with pure β-Ni（OH）2 lectrode,TiO2 added β-Ni（OH）2 electrode is found to exhibit higher proton diffusion coefficient（d） and lower charge transfer resistance. These findings suggest that the TiO2 added β-Ni（OH）2 electrode possess improved electrochemical properties and thus can be recognized as a promising candidate for the battery electrode applications.
