Aim: To evaluate 15 years practice of coelioscopic Treatment of ectopicpregnancy in the Surgery department “A” at the University Hospital Point G. Material and Methods: We conducted a descriptive retrospective study at the Surgery department “A” at the University Hospital Point G from January 2001 to August 2015. Inclusion criteria were all pregnant women with ectopic pregnancy treated with coelioscopy. Sociodemographic, clinical, paracclinical and therapeutic aspects were recorded. Results: In 15 years, 42 cases of ectopic pregnancy out of 3840 gynecologic coelioscopies (1.04%) were collected. The average age was 28.5 years old with the extremes of 16 and 41 years old. Metrorragia was associated to pain in 83.3% (35/42);amenorrhea was found in 66.7% (28/41). Physical exam revealed pain with abdominal defense in 59.5% (25/42), adnexal mass in 31% (13/42), and pelvic contracture in 9.5% (4/42). In pre-operative, ectopic pregnancy was diagnosed complicated in 71.4% (30/42) and uncomplicated in 28.6% (12/42). Patients underwent salpingectomy in 85.7% (36/42), delivery from the fallopian tube in 9.8% (4/42), and hemostatic salpingectomy in 4.4% (2/42). The average duration of hospital stay was 1.88 day with the extremes of 1 and 7 days. The postoperative evolution was favorable in 97.6% (41/42), infection at the site of surgery was reported in 2.4% (1/42). Not a single death was registered. Conclusion: Treatment of ectopic pregnancy is of routine at the surgery department “A” in Point G. Fertility is preserved in the future.

Growing Sandpile Problem with Local and Non-Local Boundaries Conditions

In this paper, we study a class of Prigozhin equation for growing sandpile problem subject to local and a non-local boundary condition. The problem is a generalized model for a growing sandpile problem with Neumann boundary condition (see [1]). By the semi-group theory, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution for the model and thanks to a duality method we do the numerical analysis of the problem. We finish our work by doing numerical simulations to validate our theoretical results.

In Mali,access to healthcare is a major *** has been a national priority since the Alma-Ata declaration in *** then,major efforts have been made by the State and its partners to achieve this *** efforts appear insufficient in the Bougouni health district,wheremore than half the population is still far frombasic health *** this situation,it is essential to assess geographical accessibility to healthcare to identify the localities that have been left behind,hence the purpose of this research in the Bougouni *** types of data were used:the size of the population,the location of community health centers and the road *** consecutive stages summarize the approach used,the improved two-stage floating attraction area method(E2SFCA)was used to measure the spatial dimension of accessibility to health *** was supplemented by spatial autocorrelation analyses,particularly the local Moran index,to detect clusters of localities with low or high spatial accessibility *** results reveal strong spatial disparities in access to primary healthcare within and between communes and at the same time call into question the effectiveness of the policy of geographical coverage of the population in terms of basic *** also highlight the demographic pressure on existing health services and suggest ways of significantly improving geographical access to health services.

Objective: To evaluate the anthelmintic property of Saba senegalensis(***) Pichon(Apocynaceae)(S. senegalensis) on Haemonchus contortus that is traditionally used in Burkina Faso for its gastrointestinal parasites ***: The lyophilized aqueous decoction of leaves of S. senegalensis at concentrations of 0.10, 1.00, 3.00, 10.00 and 15.00 mg/m L was used on eggs and adult worms of Haemonchus contortus collected from gastrointestinal tract of small ***: The LC_(50) on adult worms was 6.79 mg/m L and 3.25 mg/m L for the leaves of S. senegalensis and the levamisole(reference drug), respectively. Inhibition of hatching assay showed a concentration-dependent manner with an inhibition of 93.63% at the concentration of 15.00 mg/m L of S. ***: These results indicate that the aqueous extract of S. senegalensis possesses an anthelmintic property and may justify its use in traditional medicine for the treatment of gastrointestinal parasites.

In this paper, deterministic and stochastic models for schistosomiasis involving four sub-populations are developed. Conditions are given under which system exhibits thresholds behavior. The disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if R0 ?and the unique endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable when R0 >?1. The populations are computationally simulated under various conditions. Comparisons are made between the deterministic and the stochastic model.

The Bambara groundnut Vigna subterranea (L.) Verdc. is a drought-resistant indigenous African grain legume with significant nutritional and agronomic potential. This study aimed to characterize the seed storage proteins of eight Bambara groundnut landraces. Seeds of Bambara groundnut landraces were collected from local markets in Burkina Faso, and total soluble protein as well as protein fractions were extracted. Crude protein content was determined by the Kjeldahl method, and soluble proteins were quantified using Bradford dye binding assay. The average crude protein content of the seeds was found to be 18.46%, with variations ranging from 17.69% to 19.17% among the different landraces. Most of the protein content was soluble, constituting approximately 87.04% of the total crude protein. Albumin fraction was the most dominant, representing about 95.42% of the total soluble proteins. The globulin, prolamin and glutelin fractions accounted for 1.82%, 0.13% and 1.17% of the soluble proteins, respectively. The findings provide valuable insights into the protein composition of Bambara groundnut landraces and contribute to our understanding of its nutritional potential, laying the groundwork for further research on crop improvement and sustainable agriculture practices.

The grain legume cowpea Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. is a major protein source used for food and feed in Sub-Saharan Africa. The crop is affected by the pod borer Maruca vitrata against which transgenic lines were developed as part of the genetic control approach. This study aimed to assess the protein profiles in seeds and leaves of transgenic cowpea lines and their non-transgenic near-isogenic counterparts. Crude protein content was determined by the Kjeldahl method, and soluble proteins were quantified using Bradford dye binding assay. The average crude protein content ranged between 21.61% and 26.58% in the seeds and between 10.86% and 17.90% in the leaves. Total solubility varied between 13.03% and 20.64%. Osborne’s protein fractions contents in the seeds were 52.41% - 69.52% (albumin), 4.62% - 7.19% (globulin), 7.95% - 11.40% (glutelin) and 3% - 4% (prolamin). In any case, protein content differed significantly between cowpea genotypes but not between pairs of transgenic/non-transgenic lines. Insecticidal Cry1Ab protein expressed by transgenic lines was only detected in the albumin and globulin fractions. Altogether, these findings enhance our understanding of the effects of genetic modification on cowpea protein content and composition, with potential implications for nutritional and safety assessments.

A Recurrent Solitary Exostosis of the distal End of the Right Radius: A Case Report with a 17-Year Follow-Up

Solitary exostosis is a benign tumor usually encountered in children and adolescents. Its treatment is based on complete surgical excision which ensures complete healing. The resumption of a tumor process raises two questions: is it a recurrence or a malignant transformation into chondrosarcoma? We report a case of a resumption of the tumor process of solitary exostosis of the lower metaphysis of the right radius in a 33-year-old patient. This recurrence occurred 10 years after the first surgery and was accompanied by signs of compression of the median nerve and a major bone remodeling raising fears of malignant transformation. But histological examination performed during the excision confirmed the benignity of this lesion. The long-term follow-up examination of 17 years found a patient in a good general condition with a satisfactory local condition. The malignant transformation of solitary exostosis is an exceptional event. Thus, faced with a resumption of the tumor process after excision of solitary exostosis, the inadequacy of the first excision remains the first diagnostic hypothesis.

In this article, a model of a rotor with an asymmetric disk is presented in order to represent Campbell’s diagrams and instability maps as a function of the rotations of the support which can significantly change the dynamic behavior of the rotor. Critical rotating speeds can also lead to unacceptable levels of vibration. Indeed, the critical speeds are a function of the dynamic rigidity of the rotating systems and the presence of the gyroscopic forces creates a dependence between the rotating speed of rotation and the natural frequencies to such structures (the CAMPBELL diagrams): this implies that the correct determination of the critical speeds is one of the essential elements when sizing such dynamic systems.

Variation of soil carbon stock in the cropping systems is an important indicator of their *** present study was conducted in 2015 and 2018 in seven organic cotton production areas distributed over the Southern and Northern Sudan agro-ecological zones in Burkina *** samples were collected in 2015 as baseline and in 2018,after three years of cropping seasons,to determine the variations in carbon stocks in plots under organic farming *** were also conducted to understand the fertilization practices implemented by producers during the same *** results revealed that the recommended fertilization packages were not respected due to low production capacity and under using of organic *** three years of cropping in 2018,the deficit of organic restitution has led to a high decline of the soil carbon *** decline was more severe in the 0-10 cm depth in some soils where the decrease in carbon stocks ranged from-4.6 t/ha to-5.5 t/*** correlation between soil types and their carbon stocks in the 0-10 cm soil layer was found to be significant(pdan agro-ecological zone with adjusted R2=74%and 54%in 2015 and 2018,respectively,and adjusted R2=56%(2015)and 44%(2018)in the Southern Sudan agro-ecological *** three years of organic cotton-based farming,a decrease in the correlation between soil types and their carbon content was observed in the majority of *** results show that the process of carbon storage in soil is more influenced by agricultural practices and agro-ecological conditions than by the soil type.
