2d–3d dual carbon layer confined ultrasmall VN nanoparticles for improving lithium-ion storage in hybrid capacitors

Lithium-ion capacitors(LICs) of achieving high power and energy density have garnered.s.gnificant attention. However, the kinetics unbalance between anode and cathode can impede the application of LICs. Vanadium nitride(VN) with a high theoretical specific capacity(~ 1200 m Ah·g^(-1)) is a better pseudocapacitive anode to match the response of cathode in LICs. However, the insertion/extraction of Li-ions in VN's operation results in significant volume expansion. Herein, the VN/N-r GO-5composite that three-dimentional(3d) dicyandiamidederived-carbon(ddC) tightly wrapped VN quantum dots(VN Qd.s. on two-dimentional(2d) reduced graphene oxid(r GO) was prepared by a facile strategy. The VN Qd.s.can reduce ion diffusion length and improve charge transfer kinetics. The 2d r GO as a template provid.s.support for nanoparticle d.s.ersion and improves electrical conductivity. The 3d ddC tightly encapsulated with VN Qd.s.mitigates agglomeration of VN particles as well as volume expansion. Correspondingly, the LICs with VN/Nr GO-5 composite as anode and activated carbon(AC) as cathode were fabricated, which exhibits a high energy density and power density. such strategy provid.s.a perspective for improving the electrochemical properties of LIC anode materials by suppressing volume expansion and enhancing conductivity.

The stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants(POPs)is a legally binding instrument for 186 Parties(status:April 2023).Accordingly,among other responsibilities,countries are obliged to report the production,import,or export of the POPs listed in Annexes A,B,or C;provide information to registers;maintain inventories;and monitor the presence of POPs in the *** the broader context of international chemicals and waste management,producer responsibilities,harmonized reporting,and compliance with national and international regulations,Ecuador has addressed the newly listed group of perfluorinated alkyl substances(PFAs)in its national implementation plan and.s.nt selected products from its national market for PFAs *** products analyzed came from the initially listed fields of specific exemptions and acceptable purposes,including:fire-fighting foams;photographic aids;greasers/degreasers;various kinds of paper/packaging;textiles;and leather,coatings,cleaners,metal plating,and *** results showed that the three PFAs presently listed in the stockholm Convention could be quantified in only a few samples;additional PFAs,not yet listed in the Convention also had low detection *** the number of samples was limited,the samples covered a large spectrum of sample matrices,making it possible to conclude that—once these products become waste and are regulated under the Basel Convention—they would not constitute a d.s.osal ***,verification of the presence of PFAs in products on the market is expected to pose an analytical challenge for both,developed and developing countries.

Hydrographic Characteristics and Oceanic Heat Flux in the Upper Arctic Ocean over the Alpha Ridge Observed by the dTOP Platform in 2018 and 2021

In 2018 and 2021,the drift-Towing Ocean Profilers(dTOP)provided extensive temperature and.s.linity data on the upper 120m ocean through their drifts over the Alpha Ridge north of the Canada *** thickness and temperature maximum of Alaska Coastal Water(ACW)ranged from 20m to 40m and-1.5℃to-0.8℃,respectively,and the salinity generally maintained from 30.2 to *** with World Ocean Atlas 2018’s climatology manifested a 40m-thick and warm ACW roughly ex-ceeding the temperature maximum by 0.4–0.5℃in June–August *** anomalously warm ACW was highly related to the ex-pansion of the Beaufort Gyre in the negative Arctic Oscillation *** summer,the under-ice oceanic heat flux F_(w)^(OHF)was elevated,with a maximum value of above 25Wm^(-2).F_(w)^(OHF)was typically low in the freezing season,with an average value of 1.2Wm^(-2).The estimates of upward heat flux contributed by ACW to the sea ice bottom F_(w)^(OHF)were in the range of 3–4Wm^(-2)in June–August 2021,when ACW contained a heat content of more than 80MJm^(-2).The heat loss over this period was driven by a weak stratification upon the ACW layer associated with a surface mixed layer(sML)approaching the ACW *** autumn,F_(w)^(OHF)was reduced(during rare events when it elevated F_(w)^(OHF)*** addition,the intensive and wid.s.read Ekman suction,which created a violent upwelling north of the Canada Basin,was largely responsible for the substantial cooling and thinning of the ACW layer in the summer of 2021.

The effects of deformation parameters and cooling rates on the aging behavior of AZ80+0.4%Ce

The extruded AZ80+0.4%Ce magnesium alloy was twisted in the temperature range of 300-380℃by using a Gleeble 3500 thermal simulation test machine with a torsion *** deformed cylindrical specimens were cooled at a cooling rate of 10℃/s or 0.1℃/s,respectively,and aged at 170℃.The microstructure analysis results showed that the grain size decreased with increasing specimen radial position from center(sRPC),and that the strong initial basal texture of the extruded magnesium alloy was *** continuous and d.s.ontinuous dynamic recrystallization mechanisms were involved in contributing to the grain refinement for all specimens *** a novel extension twinning induced dynamic recrystallization mechanism was proposed for specimen deformed at 300℃.For the specimens deformed at 300℃and 340℃followed by a slow cooling rate(0.1℃/s),precipitates of various shapes(β-Mg_(17)Al_(12)),with the dominant precipitates being on the grains boundaries,appeared on the surface *** specimen deformed at 380℃,lamellar precipitates(LPs)in the interiors of the grains were *** aging,the LPs still dominated for specimens twisted at 380℃;however,the LPs gradually decreased with decreasing deformation temperatures from 380℃to 300℃.dynamically precipitatedβ,especially those decorating the grain boundaries,changed the competition pictures for the LPs and precipitates of other shapes after ***,LPs dominated the areas for the center section of the specimens after aging regardless of deformation *** temperature deformation with high sRPC followed by rapid cooling rate increased the micro hardness of the alloy after aging due to refined grain,reduced precipitates size,decreased lamellar spacing as well as strain hardening.

Thermal runaway evolution of a 280 Ah lithium-ion battery with LiFePO_(4) as the cathode for different heat transfer mod.s.constructed by mechanical abuse

Lithium iron phosphate batteries have been increasingly utilized in recent years because their higher safety performance can improve the increasing trend of recurring thermal runaway ***,the safety performance and mechanism of high-capacity lithium iron phosphate batteries under internal short-circuit challenges remain to be *** work analyzes the thermal runaway evolution of high-capacity LiFePO_(4) batteries under different internal heat transfer mod.s.which are controlled by different penetration *** penetration cases involving complete penetration and incomplete penetration were detected during the test,and two mod.s.were performed incorporating nails that either remained or were removed after penetration to comprehensively reveal the thermal runaway mechanism.A theoretical model of microcircuits and internal heat conduction is also *** results indicated three thermal runaway evolution processes for high-capacity batteries,which corresponded to the experimental results of thermal equilibrium,single thermal runaway,and two thermal runaway *** difference in heat d.s.ribution in the three phenomena is determined based on the microstructure and material structure near the *** controlling the heat d.s.ipation conditions,the time interval between two thermal runaway events can be delayed from 558 to 1417 s,accompanied by a decrease in the concentration of in-situ gas production during the second thermal runaway event.

An attention-based teacher-student model for multivariate short-term landslide d.s.lacement prediction incorporating weather forecast data

staring-imaging satellite pointing estimation based on sequential IsAR images

Pointing estimation for spacecraft using Inverse synthetic Aperture Radar(IsAR)images plays a significant role in space situational awareness and ***,feature extraction and cross-range scaling of IsAR images create bottlenecks that limit performances of current estimation ***,the emergence of staring imaging satellites,characterized by complex kinematic behaviors,presents a novel challenge to this *** address these issues,this article proposes a pointing estimation method based on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)and a numerical optimization algorithm.A satellite’s main axis,which is extracted from IsAR images by a proposed.s.mantic Axis Region Regression Net(sARRN),is chosen for investigation in this article due to its unique ***,considering the kinematic characteristic of the staring satellite,an IsAR imaging model is established to bridge the target pointing and the extracted *** on the imaging model,pointing estimation and cross-range scaling can be d.s.ribed as a maximum likelihood estimation problem,and an iterative optimization algorithm modified by using the strategy of random sampling-consistency check and weighted least squares is proposed to solve this ***,the pointing of targets and the cross-range scaling factors of IsAR images are *** experiments based on actual satellite orbital parameters verify the effectiveness of the proposed *** work can improve the performance of satellite reconnaissance warning,while accurate cross-range scaling can provide a basis for subsequent data processes such as 3d reconstruction and attitude estimation.
