Photocatalytic H_(2) evolution from seawater splitting presents a promising approach to tackle the fossil energy crisis and mitigate carbon emission due to the abundant source of seawater and.s.nlight on the ***,the development of efficient photocatalysts for seawater splitting remains a formidable ***,a 2d/2d ZnIn_(2)s_(4)/WO_(3)(ZIs/WO_(3))heterojunction nanostructure is fabricated to efficiently separate the photoinduced carriers by steering electron transfer from the conduction band minimum of WO_(3) to the valence band maximum of ZIs via constructing internal electric ***,plasmonic Au nanoparticles(NPs)as a novel photosensitizer and a reduction cocatalyst are anchored on ZIs/WO_(3) surface to further enhance the optical absorption of ZIs/WO_(3) heterojunction and accelerate the catalytic *** obtained Au/ZIs/WO_(3) photocatalyst exhibits an outstanding H_(2) evolution rate of 2610.6 or 3566.3μmol g^(-1)h~(-1)from seawater splitting under visible or full-spectrum light irradiation,*** rates represent an impressive increase of approximately 7.3-and 6,6-fold compared to those of ZIs under the illumination of the same light *** unique 2d/2d.s.ructure,internal electric field,and plasmonic metal modification together boost the photocatalytic H_(2) evolution rate of Au/ZIs/WO_(3),making it even comparable to H_(2) evolution from pure water *** present work sheds light on the development of efficient photocatalysts for seawater splitting.

The degradation behavior of srBi2Ta2O9 (sBT) thin films annealed in forming gas (5%H2+95%N2) was investigated. The ferroelectric remnant polarization Px of sBT had a severe decrease in the containing H2 atmosphere at 400°C. sEM results showed that Bi could be reduced from sBT thin films for the effect of H2. The reduction role increased with a rise of annealing temperature. sBT thin films lost their ferroelectricity when the annealing temperature was above 450°C. It implied that the degradation of Pr value or the d.s.ppearance of ferroelectricity in sBT thin, films had the relationship with the reductive amounts of Bi in sBT. H2 played an important role in degradation of ferroelectric sBT thin films. This role could be attributed to its strong reduction activity during forming gas annealing.

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data *** substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and.s.alability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

Traumatic brain injury is followed by a cascade of dynamic and complex events occurring at the cellular level. These events include: diffuse axonal injury, neuronal cell death, blood-brain barrier break down, glial activation and neuroinflammation, edema, ischemia, vascular injury, energy failure, and peripheral immune cell infiltration. The timing of these events post injury has been linked to injury severity and functional outcome. Extracellular vesicles are membrane bound.s.cretory vesicles that contain markers and cargo pertaining to their cell of origin and can cross the blood-brain barrier. These qualities make extracellular vesicles intriguing candidates for a liquid biopsy into the pathophysiologic changes occurring at the cellular level post traumatic brain injury. Herein, we review the most commonly reported cargo changes in extracellular vesicles from clinical traumatic brain injury samples. We then use knowledge from animal and in vitro models to help infer what these changes may indicate regrading cellular responses post traumatic brain injury. Future research should prioritize labeling extracellular vesicles with markers for d.s.inct cell types across a range of timepoints post traumatic brain injury.

Anomalous ion heat transport is analyzed in the T-10 tokamak plasma heated with electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECRH) in second-harmonic extra-ordinary mode. Predictive modeling with empirical scaling for Ohmical heat conductivity shows that in ECRH plasmas the calculated ion temperature could be overestimated, so an increase of anomalous ion heat transport is required. To study this effect two scans are presented: over the EC resonance position and over the ECRH power. The EC resonance position varies from the high-field.s.de to the low-field.s.de by variation of the toroidal magnetic field. The scan over the heating power is presented with on-axis and mixed ECRH regimes. d.s.harges with high anomalous ion heat transport are obtained in all considered regimes. In these d.s.harges the power balance ion heat conductivity exceeds the neoclassical level by up to 10 times. The high ion heat transport regimes are d.s.inguished by three parameters: the ratio Te/Ti, the normalized electron density gradient R/■, and the ion–ion collisionality νii~*. The combination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and R/■=6-10 results in values of normalized anomalous ion heat fluxes up to 10 times higher than in the low transport scenario.

In recent years, low recall rates and high dependencies on data labelling have become the biggest obstacle to developing deep anomaly detection(dAd) techniques. Inspired by the success of generative adversarial networks(GANs) in detecting anomalies in computer vision and imaging, we propose an anomaly detection model called Flow GANAnomaly for detecting anomalous traffic in network intrusion detection systems(NIds). Unlike traditional GAN-based approaches, which are composed of a flow encoder, a convolutional encoder-decoder-encoder, a flow decoder and a convolutional encoder, the architecture of this model consists of a generator(G) and a d.s.riminator(d).Flow GANAnomaly maps the different types of traffic feature data from separate datasets to a uniform feature space,thus can capture the normality of network traffic data more accurately in an adversarial manner to mitigate the problem of the high dependence on data labeling. Moreover, instead of simply detecting the anomalies by the output of d, we proposed a new anomaly scoring method that integrates the deviation between the output of two Gs’ convolutional encoders with the output of d as weighted.s.ores to improve the low recall rate of anomaly detection. We conducted.s.veral experiments comparing existing machine learning algorithms and existing deep learning methods(Auto Encoder and VAE) on four public datasets(NsL-Kdd, CIC-Ids2017, CIC-ddo s2019, and UNsW-NB15). The evaluation results show that Flow GANAnomaly can significantly improve the performance of anomaly-based NIds.
