Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine Effects of Capybara oil on Cardiac Remodeling of C57bl/6 Mice

Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in the world, and obesity and the metabolic syndrome are risk factors for its development. one of the therapies to reduce cardiovascular risk is the use of polyunsaturated fatty acids. In Brazil, a source of such acid is the oil extracted from the fat of the capybara. The objective of this work is to study the effects of the capybara oil on lipid and glucose metabolism, as well as its effects on the adipose tissue and cardiac remodeling. We assessed the effects of capybara oil treatment on body mass, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, systolic blood pressure, adipose tissue and cardiac remodeling, and performed an ultrastructural evaluation of the myocardium in C57Bl/6 mice treated with high-fat diet. Treatment with capybara oil reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, systolic blood pressure, visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, and adipocyte diameter. In addition, cardiac remodeling was attenuated, preserving cardiomyocytes, increasing vascularization, reducing cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and the extracellular matrix, and preserving the morphological integrity of mitochondria. Capybara oil has several beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and metabolic system, and further studies are needed to better understand its role in the prevention or treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Background: CovId-19 limitations have hindered the implementation of new technologies by preventing proctors from coming to the *** share our first experience of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided focused ultrasound(MRgFUS)treatment with an international remote online proctorship,and develop and evaluate the methodology of remote MRgFUS ***: This single-center,nonrandomized controlled prospective study included 94 patients:27 with essential tremor(ET)and 67 with tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease(Pd).The coming of proctors was impossible,so we arranged for the remote participation of proctors from the United Kingdom,Spain,and Israel.A total of 38 patients(40.4%)received telemedicine-proctored treatment(proctor group)and 56 received their treatment independently(solo group).We used the Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor(CRST)for ET patients and the Unified Parkinson's disease Rating Scale(UPdRS)Part III for Pd ***: In patients with ET,success rates were 81.8%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.22).CRST reduction on the treated side was 71.43%[65.83%;80.56%](proctor group)versus 60.87%[53.99;79.58](solo group)(p=0.19).None of the patients showed worsening of tremors within 1 *** patients with Pd,the success rates were 92.6%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.08).The UPdRS Part III improvement was 30.1%(proctor group)versus 39.9%(solo group)(p=0.003).The 1-year recurrence rate was 40%(proctor group)and 17.5%(solo group)(p=0.04).No complications were observed at 6 ***: We developed a feasible and safe methodology for telemedicine remote online-proctored MRgFUS *** significant difference was observed between the solo and developed remote proctor protocols in terms of complication rate,effect,and long-term results;however,UPdRS Part III improvement was better in the Pd solo *** study demonstrated that the MRgFUS international proctorship can be performed successfully remotely.

大规模电动汽车聚合可调度容量是含电动汽车的虚拟电厂参与多层级多场景电力平衡辅助服务的重要技术指标之一。然而,现有电动汽车聚合可调度容量模型难以适应大规模电动汽车与省级电力调度中心互动场景。为此,文中从面向电力系统调峰、调频和调压多级多场景调控新视角,提出了数据驱动和机器学习相结合的双层聚类电动汽车聚合可调度容量建模方法。该方法通过构建电动汽车-充电桩广义储能单元的个体可调度容量模型,结合基于密度空间的聚类算法和改进的自组织映射深度聚类算法,有效地融合了电动汽车电量的时间分布和充电桩的空间分布特性,构建了面向调峰、调频和调压多场景调控的聚合可调度容量模型。采用了某省实际充电记录数据对提出的方法进行了验证,获得了“早间型”“中午型”“晚间型”等多种充电画像类型,实现了时空分布各异的电动汽车广义储能系统的自主聚合和省市级规模电动汽车参与电网不同辅助服务潜能的评估,并为聚合可调度容量的预测奠定了数据基础。

Passive electrochemical hydrogen recombiner for hydrogen safety systems:prospects

This paper presents the concept of a passive electrochemical hydrogen recombiner(PEHR).The reaction energy of the recombination of hydrogen and oxygen is used as a source of electrical energy according to the operating principle for hydrogen fuel cells to establish forced circulation of the hydrogen mixture as an alternative to natural circulation(as is not utilized in conventional passive autocatalytic hydrogen recombiners currently used in nuclear power plants(NPPs)).The proposed concept of applying the physical operation principles of a PEHR based on a fuel cell simultaneously increases both productivity in terms of recombined hydrogen and the concentration threshold of flameless operation(the‘ignition’limit).Thus,it is possible to reliably ensure the hydrogen explosion safety of NPPs under all conditions,including beyond-design *** experimental setup was assembled to test a laboratory sample of a membrane electrode assembly(MEA)at various hydrogen concentrations near the catalytic surfaces of the electrodes,and the corresponding current–voltage characteristics were *** simplest MEA based on the Advent P1100W PBI membrane demonstrated stable performance(delivery of electrical power)over a wide range of hydrogen concentrations.

Lead-free dielectric ceramics can be used to make quick charge-discharge capacitor devices due to their high power *** use in advanced electronic systems,however,has been hampered by their poor energy storage performance(ESP),which includes low energy storage efficiency and recoverable energy storage density(Wrec).In this work,we adopted a combinatorial optimization strategy to improve the ESP in(Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5))Tio_(3)(BNT)-based relaxor ferroelectric *** begin,the Bi-containing complex ions Bi(Mg_(2/3)Nb_(1/3))o_(3)(BMN)were introduced into a BNT-based matrix in order to improve the diffuse phase transition,increase Bi-o bond coupling,avoid macro domain development,and limit polarization response ***,the viscous polymer process was employed to reduce sample thickness and porosity,resulting in an apparent increase in breakdown strength in(1-x)[0.7(Bi_(1/2)Na_(1/2))Tio_(3)]-0.3SrTio_(3)-xBi(Mg_(2/3)Nb_(1/3))o_(3)(BS-xBMN)***,in x=0.20 composition,an amazing Wrecof 5.62 J·cm^(-3)and an ultra-high efficiency of 91.4%were simultaneously achieved at a relatively low field of 330 kv·cm^(-1),together with remarkable temperature stability in the temperature range of 30-140℃(3.5 J·cm^(-3)±5%variation).This research presents a new lead-free dielectric material with superior ESP for use in pulsed power capacitors.

In this paper,we present some results on the behavior of the total cross section and p-parameter at asymptotic energies in proton-proton(pp) and antiproton-proton(pp) ***,we consider three of the main theoretical results in high energy physics:the crossing property,derivative dispersion relation,and optical *** use of such machinery facilitates the derivation of analytic formulas for a wide set of the measured global scattering parameters and some important relations between *** suggested parameterizations approximate the energy dependence for the total cross section and ρ-parameter for pp and pp with a statistically acceptable quality in the multi-Tev ***,the qualitative description is obtained for important interrelations,namely difference,sum,and ratio of the antiparticle-particle and particle-particle total cross *** the reduced number of experimental data for the total cross section and p-parameter at the Tev-scale,which complicates any prediction for the beginning of the asymptotic domain,the fitting procedures indicates that asymptotia occur in the energy range 25.5-130 ***,in the asymptotic regime,we obtain α_(P)=1.A detailed quantitative study of the energy behavior of the measured scattering parameters and their combinations in the ultra-high energy domain indicates that the scenario with the generalized formulation of the Pomeranchuk theorem is more favorable with respect to the original formulation of this theorem.

detrital zircon geochronology and Hf isotope analysis can be used for inferring provenance characteristics,and to evaluate the tectonic evolution of sedimentary basins and their link with regional *** Paleozoic sequences of the okcheon Belt consist of the Lower Paleozoic Joseon and the Upper Paleozoic Pyeongan supergroups with Middle Paleozoic hiatus locally on top of the Neoproterozoic bimodal volcanic rocks,reflecting an intracontinental rift setting between the two basements(*** and Yeongnam massifs)at southern part of the Korean *** detrital zircon U-Pb ages and Lu-Hf isotope results show that all these Paleozoic strata commonly have Paleoproterozoic and Paleozoic zircon ages with rare Meso-to Neoproterozoic *** individual zircon populations display following features,allowing estimation of their sedimentary provenances:(i)The Paleoproterozoic zircons(ca.1.85 Ga and 2.50 Ga)with similar ranges ofεHf(t)values are most common in the basement rocks of the Korean Peninsula,and were sourced from both the Gyeonggi and Yeongnam massifs.(ii)The Meso-to Neoproterozoic zircons,preserved only in the Middle to Late Cambrian clastic sedimentary rocks within the carbonate sequences probably reflect proximal provenance.(iii)The youngest Paleozoic zircons of each formation,almost coincident with their deposition ages,suggest presence of syndepositional magmatism,indicating proximal magmatic sources during their deposition.(iv)The Cambrian-ordovician zircons,from the Lower Paleozoic sequences,but rare in the successive Upper Paleozoic sequences,suggest a provenance change after the hiatus between the two sedimentary successions.(v)The Permian zircons showing differentεHf(t)values indicate that detrital sources were varied at that *** integrated results in our study suggest provenance variability linked to diverse tectonic environments,reflecting prolonged subduction-related crustal evolution of the proto-Korean Peninsula during the Paleozo

An optimal set of thermodynamic parameters of the Zro2-Ceo1.5 system has been obtained using phase diagram data by the modern CALPHAd (calculation of phase diagrams) technique. The liquid and other solid solution phases are regarded as substitutional solutions. The ordered Zr2Ce2o7 phase is treated as a stoichiometric compound. The Zro2-Ceo1.5 system has been re-optimized with the new reference state. A comparison between the Zro2-Ceo2 system and the Zro2-Ceo1.5 system has been made through calculation. With the calculation, the experimental information is well reproduced and a good agreement is obtained.

Second-Harmonic Response in Magnetic Nodal-Line Semimetal Fe3GeTe2

We experimentally investigate second-harmonic transverse voltage response to ac electrical current for a magnetic nodal-line semimetal Fe3GeTe2（FGT）. For zero magnetic field, the observed second-harmonic voltage behaves as a square of the longitudinal current, as it should be expected for nonlinear Hall effect. The magnetic field behavior is found to be sophisticated: while the first-harmonic response shows the known anomalous Hall hysteresis in FGT, the second-harmonic Hall voltage is characterized by the pronounced high-field hysteresis and flat（B-independent） region with curves touching at low fields. The high-field hysteresis strongly depends on the magnetic field sweep rate, so it reflects some slow relaxation process. For the lowest rates, it is also accomplished by multiple crossing points. Similar shape of the second-harmonic hysteresis is known for skyrmion spin textures in nonlinear optics. Since skyrmions have been demonstrated for FGT by direct visualization techniques, we can connect the observed high-field relaxation with deformation of the skyrmion lattice. Thus, the second-harmonic Hall voltage response can be regarded as a tool to detect spin textures in transport experiments.
