The investigated area around Sarvapuram represents a part of the Karimnagar granulite terrane of the Eastern dharwar Craton, India. Garnet–bearing gneiss is hosted as enclaves, pods within granite gneiss and charnockite. It is largely made up of garnet, orthopyroxene, cordierite, biotite, plagioclase, K–feldspar, sillimanite and quartz. The peak metamorphic stage is represented by the equilibrium mineral assemblage i.e. garnet, orthopyroxene, cordierite, biotite, plagioclase, sillimanite and quartz. Breakdown of the garnet as well as preservation of the orthopyroxene–cordierite symplectite, formation of cordierite with the consumption of the garnet + sillimanite + quartz represents the decompressional event. The thermobarometric calculations suggest a retrograde P–T path with a substantial decompression of c. 3.0 kbar. The water activity(XH2 O) conditions obtained with the win TWQ program for core and symplectite compositions from garnet–bearing gneiss are 0.07–0.14 and 0.11–0.16 respectively. The quantitative estimation of oxygen fugacity in garnet–bearing gneiss reveal log f O2 values ranging from-11.38 to-14.05. This high oxidation state could be one of the reasons that account for the absence of graphite in these rocks.

An analysis is performed to study the influence of local thermal nonequilibrium(LTNE)on unsteadyMHdlaminar boundary layer flowof viscous,incompressible fluid over a vertical stretching plate embedded in a sparsely packed porous medium in the presence of heat generation/*** flow in the porous medium is governed by Brinkman-Forchheimer extended darcy model.A uniform heat source or sink is presented in the solid *** applying similarity analysis,the governing partial differential equations are transformed into a set of time dependent non-linear coupled ordinary differential equations and they are solved numerically by Runge-Kutta Fehlberg method along with shooting *** obtained results are displayed graphically to illustrate the influence of different physical parameters on the velocity,temperature profile and heat transfer rate for both fluid and solid ***,the numerical results obtained in this study are compared with the existing literature in the case of LTE and found that they are in good agreement.

Co-gasification of coal and biomass is emerging as potential clean fuel technology to achieve high thermodynamic efficiency with relatively low CO2 emission. The coal and biomass have been exclusively gasified more than a century to obtain gas–liquid fuels and the production of chemicals. Co-gasification has higher efficiency than the solitary coal gasification because the cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin content of biomass help to ignite and enhance the rate of gasification. It is suggested that the extensive research on carbon reactivity pattern, heat release, reaction kinetics, etc. may support to reduce the uncertainties in the co-gasification performance of coal and biomass blends, particularly in India. The prospects of co-gasification technology in Indian context have been discussed considering the abundance of varieties of coal and biomass. The suitability of existing gasifier procedures and their limitations with operating parameters like temperature, residence time, density optimisation, feed rate, agglomeration intensity, the tar formation and techno-economics involved are described. Also, this paper reviews the research highlights of the history of co-gasification and the advancement in upcoming challenges like a design of gasifier, access and preparation of biomass, disposal of residue, environmental concerns and reassurance to the operators for execution of large and small-scale projects.

In the present investigation,a microbial consortium consisting of four bacterial strains was selected for the treatment of pharmaceutical industry wa *** consortium was immobilized on a natural support matrixLuffa and used for the treatment of real-time pharmaceutical wastewater in batch and continuous *** batch process was carried out to optimize the culture conditions and monitor the enzymatic *** array of enzymes such as alcohol dehydrogenase,aldehyde dehydrogenase,monooxygenase,catechol 2,3-dioxygenase and hydroquinol 1,2-dioxygenase were produced by the *** kinetics of the degradation in the batch process was analyzed and it was noted to be a first-order *** the continuous study,an aerobic fixed-film bioreactor(AFFBR) was utilized for a period of 61 days with variable hydraulic retention time(HRT) and organic loading rate(OLR).The immobilized microbes treated the wastewater by reducing the COd,phenolic contaminants and suspended *** OLR ranged between(0.56±0.05) kg COd·m^(-3) d^(-1) to 3.35 kg COd·m^(-3)·d^(-1) and the system achieved an average reduction of 96.8% of COd,92.6% of phenolic compounds and 95.2% of suspended *** of the continuous process was interpreted by three different models,where the modified Stover Kincannon model and the Grau second-order model proved to be best fit for the degradation reaction with the constant for saturation value,k_(L) being 95.12 g·L^(-1)·d^(-1).the constant for maximum utilization of the substrate U_(max) being 90.01 g·L^(-1) d^(-1) and substrate removal constant KY was1.074 d^(-1) for both the ***-MS analysis confirmed that most of the organic contaminants were degraded into innocuous metabolite s.

We investigate the spectrum and decay rates of charmonium states within the framework of the non relativistic quark model by employing a Coulomb like potential from the perturbative one gluon exchange and the linear confining potential along with the potential derived from instanton vacuum to account for the hyperfine mass splitting of charmonium states in variational approach. We predict radiative E1, M1, two-photon, lepton and two-gluon decay rates of low lying charmonium states. An overall agreement is obtained with the experimental masses and decay *** have estimated the branching ratio of two gluons decaying into light hadrons.
