The inhibition and the recovery of brain AChE, BuChE, and NTE activities after acute and subacute administration of dFP were studied in the rat. dFP displayed different specificities in inhibiting these enzymes; inhibition was greatest for BuChE followed by AChE and NTE. Recovery was most rapid for BuChE followed by NTE and AChE. The recovery rates of AChE and BuChE following acute and subacute treatment were similar. However, the recovery rate of NTE in subacutely treated rats was significantly faster than that in acutely treated rats. The results suggest that dFP inhibits these three enzymes and the rates of regeneration of these enzymes are significantly different. (c)1989 Academic Press, Inc.

Chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection affects over 295 million people globally and an estimated 1.6 million people in the United *** is associated with significant morbidity and mortality due to cirrhosis,liver failure,and liver *** therapy with oral nucleos(t)ide analogues is associated with high rates of virologic suppression,which in turn has been associated with a decreased risk of liver ***,current antiviral regimens are limited by concerns with adverse effects,adherence,resistance,long-term treatment,and ongoing risk for liver *** investigational agents are currently in development and are targeted at achieving functional cure with sustained hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)loss and suppression of HBV *** we review key evidence from phases II and III trials defining the efficacy and safety profiles for key investigational agents for functional cure of chronic hepatitis B,including core/capsid inhibitors,entry inhibitors,RNA interference(siRNA/ASO),HBsAg inhibitors,Toll-like receptor agonists,checkpoint inhibitors,and therapeutic vaccines.

Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)have gained significant attention as an alternative to lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to the abundance of potassium(k)and low ***,the difficulty in finding appropriate electrode materials that can efficiently store the larger k ions has hindered their practical ***,we report a novel anode material,N-doped multichannel carbon nanofibers embedded with porous CoS nanoprisms(CSP@NMCNF),for high-performance *** CSP@NMCNF was synthesized using a two-step strategy comprising of the electrospinning of Co acetate hydroxide nanoprism/binary polymer blend and a subsequent heat *** porous CoS nanoprisms with an anisotropic morphology were well aligned along the length axis of the N-doped multichannel carbon nanofibers,thus ensuring their structural stability during the repeated charge-discharge *** addition,numerous pores facilitated the transport of electrons and ***,the CSP@NMCNF anode exhibited excellent electrochemical performance,delivering a high specific capacity of 368 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.5 A·g^(-1)after 200 cycles and excellent rate capability(232 mAh·g^(-1)at 2.0 A·g^(-1)).

Lead iodide(PbI2) is a vital raw material for preparing perovskite solar cells(PSCs),and it not only takes part in forming the light absorption layer but also remains in the grain boundary as a *** other words,the PbI2 content in the precursor and as formed film will affect the efficiency and stability of the *** moderate residual PbI2,it passivates the bulk/surface defects of perovskite,reduces the interfacial recombination,promotes the perovskite stability,minimizes the device hysteresis,and so *** PbI2 residue will reduce the interfacial passivation effect and device *** addition to facilitating the non-radiative recombination,over PbI2 residue can also lead to electronic insulation in the grain boundary and deteriorate the device ***,the impact and regulation of PbI2 residue on the device performance and stability is still not fully ***,a comprehensive and detailed review is presented by discussing the PbI2 residue impact and its regulation strategies(i.e., elimination,facilitation and conversion of the residue PbI2) to manipulate the PbI2 content,distribution and ***,we also show future outlooks in this field,with an aim to help further the progression of high-efficiency and stable PSCs.

Polarization conversion and beam scanning metasurfaces are commonly used to reduce polarization mismatch and direct electromagnetic waves in a specific direction to improve the strength of a wireless ***,identifying suitable active and mechanically reconfigurable metasurfaces for polarization conversion and beam scanning is a considerable challenge,and the reported metasurfaces have narrow scanning ranges,are expensive,and cannot be independently *** this paper,we propose a reconfigurable transmissive metasurface combined with a scissor and rotation actuator for independently controlling beam scanning and polarization conversion *** metasurface is constructed with rotatable unit cells(UCs)that can switch the polarization state between right-handed(RHCP)and left-handed circular polarization(LHCP)by flipping the UCs to reverse their phase ***,independent beam scanning is achieved using the scissor actuator to linearly change the distance between the *** and experimental results confirm that the proposed metasurface can perform beam scanning in the range of 28°for both the positive and negative regions of a radiation pattern(RHCP and LHCP beams)at an operational frequency of 10.5 GHz.

Chemical leaching of coals would be required to produce cleaner coals for some special applications where physical benefi-ciation may not be effective *** would also help in recovering Li and rare earth metals besides in the sequestration of CO_(2).About 20 Indian coals having complexly distributed moderate to high ash contents were sequentially treated with various alkali–acid such as NaOH-HCl,HF,HCl,HCl-HF,and NaOH-HCl-HF *** aimed to establish and design the best stepwise sequential process for the highest degree of demineralisation through a chemical leaching *** and process intensification studies were carried *** than 80%demineralisation of Madhaipur and Neemcha coals was observed using the best sequential treatment designed *** repeated stepwise treatment of the alkali and the acid was also studied,which was found to significantly enhance the degree of demineralisation of *** integrated process of alkali–acid leaching followed by solvent extraction(Organo-refining)and vice versa of the treated coal was also studied for producing cleaner coals.

Existing web-based security applications have failed in many situations due to the great intelligence of *** web applications,Cross-Site Scripting(XSS)is one of the dangerous assaults experienced while modifying an organization's or user's *** avoid these security challenges,this article proposes a novel,all-encompassing combination of machine learning(NB,SVM,k-NN)and deep learning(RNN,CNN,LSTM)frameworks for detecting and defending against XSS attacks with high accuracy and *** on the representation,a novel idea for merging stacking ensemble with web applications,termed“hybrid stacking”,is *** order to implement the aforementioned methods,four distinct datasets,each of which contains both safe and unsafe content,are *** hybrid detection method can adaptively identify the attacks from the URL,and the defense mechanism inherits the advantages of URL encoding with dictionary-based mapping to improve prediction accuracy,accelerate the training process,and effectively remove the unsafe JScript/JavaScript keywords from the *** simulation results show that the proposed hybrid model is more efficient than the existing detection *** produces more than 99.5%accurate XSS attack classification results(accuracy,precision,recall,f1_score,and Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC))and is highly resistant to XSS *** order to ensure the security of the server's information,the proposed hybrid approach is demonstrated in a real-time environment.
