The thermal conductivity and viscosity of bentonite grouts have been evaluated and compared each other to determine the suitability of these materials for backfilling vertical boreholes of ground heat *** bentonite grouts from different product sources were considered in this *** additives,silica sand and graphite were added in bentonite grouts to enhance thermal *** bentonite grouts indicate that both the thermal conductivity and the viscosity increase with the content of silica sand and ***,it is recommended to select cautiously the amount of silica sand and graphite considering not only thermal conductivity but also viscosity for the optimum condition of ***,the effect of salinity in the pore water on the change of swelling potential of the bentonite-based grouts has been quantitatively evaluated to show the feasibility of bentonite grouts in the coastal area.

Free-form optoelectronic devices can provide hyper-connectivity over space and ***,most conformable optoelectronic devices can only be fabricated on flat polymeric materials using low-temperature processes,limiting their application and *** paper presents free-form optoelectronic devices that are not dependent on the shape or *** medical applications,the transferable OLEd(10μm)is formed in a sandwich structure with an ultra-thin transferable barrier(4.8μm).The results showed that the fabricated sandwich-structure transferable OLEd(STOLEd)exhibit the same high-efficiency performance on cylindricalshaped materials and on materials such as textile and *** the neutral axis is freely adjustable using the sandwich structure,the textile-based OLEd achieved both folding reliability and washing reliability,as well as a long operating life(>150 h).When keratinocytes were irradiated with red STOLEd light,cell proliferation and cell migration increased by 26 and 32%,*** the skin equivalent model,the epidermis thickness was increased by 39%;additionally,in organ culture,not only was the skin area increased by 14%,but also,reepithelialization was highly *** on the results,the STOLEd is expected to be applicable in various wearable and disposable photomedical devices.

The vibration of the layered cylindrical shells filled with a quiescent, incompressible, and inviscid fluid is analyzed. The governing equations of the cylindrical shells are derived by Love＇s approximation. The solutions of the displacement functions are assumed in a separable form to obtain a system of coupled differential equations in terms of the displacement functions. The displacement functions are approximated by Bickley-type splines. A generalized eigenvalue problem is obtained and solved numerically for the frequency parameter and an associated eigenvector of the spline coefficients. Two layered shells with three different types of materials under clamped-clamped （C-C） and simply supported （S-S） boundary conditions are considered. The variations of the frequency parameter with respect to the relative layer thickness, the length-to-radius ratio, the length-to-thickness ratio, and the circumferential node number are analyzed.

A bias in clear-sky conditions that will be involved in estimating particulate matter （PM） concentration from aerosol optical depth （AOd） was examined using PM10 from two Aerosol Robotic Network sites in korea. The study periods were between 2004 and 2007 at Anmyon and between 2003 and 2011 at Gosan, when both PM10 and AOd were available. Mean PM10 when AOd was available （PMAOd） was higher than that from all PM10 data （PMall） by 5.1 and 9.9 μg/m3 at Anmyon and Gosan, which accounted for 11% and 26% of PMall, respectively. Because of a difference between mean PM10 under daytime clear-sky conditions （PMclear） and PMAod, the variations in APM10, the difference of PMan from PMdear rather than from PMAod, were investigated. Although monthly variations in APMlo at the two sites were different, they were positively correlated to those in AT, similarly defined as APM10 except for temperature, at both sites. APM10 at Anmyon decreased to a negative value in January due to an influence of the Siberian continental high-pressure system while APM10 at Gosan was high in winter due to an effect of photochemical production at higher temperatures than at Anmyon.

We report laser cladding of pure titanium on a CoCrMo alloy using directed energy *** electron microscopy,the microstructural evolution upon varying the process parameters,especially laser power and powder feed rate,was investigated in relation to crack *** layers showing dilution rates of more than 5%contained cracks due to the formation of the brittle Co_(2)Ti intermetallic *** observed cracks could be ascribed to a mismatch in thermal expansion and a resulting stress of more than 440 MPa acting on the Co_(2)Ti phase,as determined by density functional theory and ***,an excess laser energy caused chemical inhomogeneity and unmelted Ti powder particles,while a deficient laser energy resulted in a lack of *** cracks nor partially melted powders were observed for a powder feed rate of 3 g/min and a laser power of 225–300 W,for which the dilution rate was minimized to less than 5%.For such samples,the cladding layers comprised pureα-Ti and a uniform CoT i interface with Co_(2)Ti islands.

We investigate the possibility for two-mode probability density function （PdF） to have a non-zero flux steady state solution. We take the large volume limit so that the space of modes becomes continuous. It is shown that in this limit all the steady-state twoor higher-mode PdFs are the product of one-mode PdFs. The flux of this steady-state solution turns out to be zero for any finite mode PdF.

Swarm robot systems are an important application of autonomous unmanned surface vehicles on water *** monitoring natural environments and conducting security activities within a certain range using a surface vehicle,the swarm robot system is more efficient than the operation of a single object as the former can reduce cost and save *** is necessary to detect adjacent surface obstacles robustly to operate a cluster of unmanned surface *** this purpose,a LidAR(light detection and ranging)sensor is used as it can simultaneously obtain 3d information for all directions,relatively robustly and accurately,irrespective of the surrounding environmental *** the GPS(global-positioning-system)error range exists,obtaining measurements of the surface-vessel position can still ensure stability during platoon *** this study,a three-layer convolutional neural network is applied to classify types of surface *** aim of this approach is to redefine the sparse 3d point cloud data as 2d image data with a connotative meaning and subsequently utilize this transformed data for object classification ***,we have proposed a descriptor that converts the 3d point cloud data into 2d image *** use this descriptor effectively,it is necessary to perform a clustering operation that separates the point clouds for each *** developed voxel-based clustering for the point cloud ***,using the descriptor,3d point cloud data can be converted into a 2d feature image,and the converted 2d image is provided as an input value to the *** intend to verify the validity of the proposed 3d point cloud feature descriptor by using experimental data in the ***,we explore the feasibility of real-time object classification within this framework.
