An autonomous microgrid that runs on renewable energy sources is presented in this *** has a supercon-ducting magnetic energy storage(sMEs)device,wind energy-producing devices,and an energy storage ***,because such microgrids are nonlinear and the energy they create varies with time,controlling and managing the energy inside them is a difficult ***-order proportional integral(FOPI)controller is recommended for the current research to enhance a standalone microgrid’s energy management and *** suggested dedicated control for the sMEs comprises two loops:the outer loop,which uses the FOPI to regulate the dC-link voltage,and the inner loop,responsible for regulating the sMEs current,is constructed using the intelligent FOPI(iFOPI).The FOPI+iFOPI parameters are best developed using the dandelion optimizer(dO)approach to achieve the optimum *** suggested FOPI+iFOPI controller’s performance is contrasted with a conventional PI controller for variations in wind speed and microgrid *** optimal FOPI+iFOPI controller manages the voltage and frequency of the *** behavior of the microgrid as a reaction to step changes in load and wind speed was measured using the proposed *** simulations were used to evaluate the recommended system’s *** results of the simulations showed that throughout all interruptions,the recommended microgrid provided the load with AC power with a constant amplitude and *** addition,the required load demand was accurately ***,the microgrid functioned incredibly well despite sMEs and varying wind *** obtained under identical conditions were compared with and without the best FOPI+iFOPI *** utilizing the optimal FOPI+iFOPI controller with sMEs,it was found that the microgrid performed better than the microgrid without sMEs.

The effect of nanosized CoFe2O4 addition on the magnetic properties of GdBa2Cu3O7-δ using AC magnetic susceptibility measurements

superconductor samples of type (CoFe2O4)xGdBa2Cu3O7-δ (0≤x≤0.1) were synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction technique, whereas nanosized CoFe2O4 was prepared by co-precipitation method with grain size of about 8.5 nm. The elemental content of the prepared samples was determined using particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE). The temperature dependence of real (χ') and imaginary (χʺ) components of AC magnetic susceptibility (ACMs) at different magnetic field amplitude (3–15 Oe) was investigated. The analysis of the temperature dependence of ACMs was performed using Bean critical state model. The values of the critical current density J c at T > T p (T p is the inter-granular loss peak temperature) were calculated as a function of magnetic field and nanosized CoFe2O4 content. It was found that the low nanosized CoFe2O4 addition content (x = 0.01) improves the critical current density J c of Gd-123 superconducting phase. The observed variation of J c with temperature indicated that the weak links are changed from superconductor–normal metal–superconductor (sNs) for free sample to superconductor–insulator–superconductor (sIs) type of junctions for samples added with nanosized CoFe2O4 of x > 0.01. We also discussed the experimental results in the framework of the critical state model to estimate the effective volume fraction of the grains f g using Cole–Cole plots.

The reaction of ethyl esters of 4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-l-benzo (naphtho)pyran-3-carboxylic acids (1) with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of piperidine yielded4-styryl-3-carboxami-dopiperidyl coumarin derivatives 4. The reaction of hydrazine hydrate with 1gave acetophenone hydrozone derivatives 5 and acetophenone azine derivatives 6. The reaction of 1with primary amines afforded compounds 7―9. And the treatment of la with Grignard reagents afforded3-aroyl-4-methyl coumarin derivatives 10.

This paper describes the integration of a photovoltaic (PV) renewable energy source with a superconducting magnetic energy storage (sMEs) system. The integrated system can improve the voltage stability of the utility grid and achieve power leveling. The control schemes employ model predictive control (MPC), which has gained significant attention in recent years because of its advantages such as fast response and simple implementation. The PV system provides maximum power at various irradiation levels using the incremental conductance technique (INC). The interfaced grid side converter of the sMEs can control the grid voltage by regulating its injected reactive power to the grid, while the charge and discharge operation of the sMEs coil can be managed by the system operator to inject/absorb active power to/from the grid to achieve the power leveling strategy. simulation results based on MATLAB/simulink® software prove the fast response of the system control objectives in tracking the setpoints at different loading scenarios and PV irradiance levels, while the sMEs injects/absorbs active and reactive power to/from the grid during various events to improve the voltage response and achieve power leveling strategy.

In power converter control,predictive control has several merits,such as simple concept and fast ***,the necessity to use the weighting factor inside the cost function makes the control design complex in the case of regulating multivariables where the value of the weighting factor is obtained by a nontrivial ***,it primarily depends on the system parameters and operating points of the control *** paper aims to enhance the model predictive algorithm of the singlestage topology of a quasi-Z source Inverter(qZsI).The concept of a multi-objective optimization approach is used in addition to the sub-cost function definition to remove the weighting *** using the sub-cost function definition,the inductor current is pushed away from the main loop of the predictive ***,no weighting factor is needed to manage the priority of the inductor *** other two control targets,which are the capacitor voltage and load currents,will be controlled by the multi-objective optimization approach without using any weighting factors.A detailed theoretical analysis of the proposed technique will be given and validated based on simulation results.

Owing to the significant number of hybrid generation systems(HGss)containing various energy sources,coordina-tion between these sources plays a vital role in preserving frequency *** this paper,an adaptive coordination control strategy for renewable energy sources(REss),an aqua electrolyzer(AE)for hydrogen production,and a fuel cell(FC)-based energy storage system(Ess)is proposed to enhance the frequency stability of an *** the proposed system,the excess energy from REss is used to power electrolysis via an AE for hydrogen energy storage in *** proposed method is based on a proportional-integral(Pl)controller,which is optimally designed using a grey wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm to estimate the surplus energy from REss(ie,a proportion of total power generation of REss:Kn).The studied HGs contains various types of generation systems including a diesel generator,wind tur-bines,photovoltaic(PV)systems,AE with FCs,and Esss(e.g.,battery and flywheel).The proposed method varies Kn with varying frequency deviation values to obtain the best benefits from REss,while damping the frequency *** proposed method is validated by considering different loading conditions and comparing with other existing studies that consider Kn as a constant *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method,which changes Kn value and subsequently stores the power extracted from the REss in hydrogen energy storage according to frequency deviation changes,performs better than those that use constant *** statistical analysis for frequency deviation of HGs with the proposed method has the best values and achieves large improvements for minimum,maximum,difference between maximum and minimum,mean,and standard deviation compared to the existing method.

With high penetration of renewable energy sources(REss)in modern power systems,system frequency becomes more prone to fluctuation as REss do not naturally have inertial properties.A conventional energy storage system(Ess)based on a battery has been used to tackle the shortage in system inertia but has low and short-term power support during the *** address the issues,this paper proposes a new synthetic inertia control(sIC)design with a superconducting magnetic energy storage(sMEs)system to mimic the necessary inertia power and damping properties in a short time and thereby regulate the microgrid(µG)frequency during *** addition,system frequency deviation is reduced by employing the proportional-integral(PI)controller with the proposed sIC *** efficacy of the proposed sIC system is validated by comparison with the conventional Ess and sMEs systems without using the PI controller,under various load/renewable perturbations,nonlinearities,and *** simulation results highlight that the proposed system with sMEs can efficiently manage several disturbances and high system uncertainty compared to the conventional Ess and sMEs systems,without using the PI controller.

Potential of the Integrated Control of Cucumber Root Rot Using Natural, Biological and Chemical Methods

Over the few last years, cucumber （Cucumis sativus L） root rot disease became common and inflicted marked losses to yield in Fayoum. Isolation trails from infected cucumber roots revealed that Thielaviopsis basicola and Fusarium moniliforme were the main cucumber root rot pathogens. The isolation trials from the rhizosphere of healthy cucumber plants revealed that two fungal isolates and four bacterial isolates had antagonistic effects against cucumber root rot fungi. All the tested biocontrol agents reduced the radial growth of all the tested root rots fungi in dual cultures. However, all culture filtrates of the tested biocontrol agent significantly reduced radial growth of all the tested pathogenic fungi, except that T. harzianum. Under field conditions, soil treatment with any of T. harzianum and B. subtilis BI and BF, significantly reduced percentages of infected plants and significantly increased percentages of survived plants and fruit yield compared with the control. Application of the commercial product Harpin protein （Messenger）~ product, as a resistance inducer at 0.3, 0.5 and l g/L significantly reduced the percentage of infected plants under greenhouse and field conditions. Field experiments indicated that the average percentage of infected plants after 90 days significantly decreased. The percentage of the survived plants as well as fruit yield increased by using integrated disease management （idM） package, including the most effective treatments： tolerant cultivar, Trichoderma harzianum granules formula as soil treatment, Purging cassia plant extract, Harpin protein, and a half dose of Vitavax/thiram comparing with the treatment recommended by the Ministry of Agricultural or applied treatments individually.
