The Camborygma Ichnofacies in a high-resolution sequence-stratigraphic framework for the Eocene palustrine-alluvial depositional interval of the Kutch Basin,India

The non-marine strata of the Ypresian Naredi Formation have been deposited and intermittently pedogenized after the culmination of the Early Eocene Climatic Optimum(EECO). This continental interval comprises intercalation of laterite and palaeosol horizons developed by cyclic episodes of erosion, subaerial exposure, and deposition. The palaeopedological analyses investigate the morphological and micromorphological features evidencing repeated subaerial exposure and consequently moderate to well-developed palaeosol horizons. The topmost laterite bed records an intensely bioturbated ichnofabric(consisting of the root traces and the composite ichnotaxa of lungfish aestivation burrows, Macanopsis(possible arachnid burrows), and Skolithos. The pedogenized shale horizons contain the paucispecific Camborygma-root trace ichnofabric with highly localized patchy preservation of Camborygma symplokonomos, Camborygma eumekenomos, and rhizoturbation. The ichnospecies variation of Camborygma along with the ichnofabric analyses led to the demarcation of stratigraphic horizons and evaluation of the palaeowater-table fluctuations vis-a-vis the low-order allocyclicity, the ethology of producers, and the depositional setting. The paucispecific suite of trace fossils refers to the Camborygma Ichnofacies, where the substrate is intermittently pedogenized and lateritized with upward increasing thickness of beds and intensity of pedogenesis, lateritization, ichnodiversity, and ***, as an expression of high-frequency(interpreted as 5th-order) stratigraphic fluctuations within an early Falling Stage Systems Tract(FSST), a hot palaeoclimate with seasonality varying between humid inundated to dry desiccated conditions is interpreted with the palaeowater table being the base-level control. The Ordos Basin(OB)in the western part of the North China Craton(NCC),was located at the jointed area of multi-plates and has recorded the Mesozoic tectonic *** tectonic evolution in the Mesozoic is significant to understand the tectonic transformation of the northern margin of the *** this work,the detrital zircon and apatite(U-Th)/He chronological system were analyzed in the northern part of the OB,and have provided new evidence for the regional tectonic ***(U-Th)/He chronological data states the weighted ages of 240‒235 Ma,141 Ma with the peak distribution of 244 Ma,219 Ma,173 Ma,147‒132 *** thermal evolution,geochronological data,and regional unconformities have proved four stages of regional tectonic evolution for the OB and its surroundings in the Mesozoic:(1)The Late Permian-Early Triassic;(2)the Late Triassic-Early Jurassic;(3)the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous;(4)the Late Cretaceous-Early *** is indicated that the multi-directional convergence from the surrounding tectonic units has controlled the Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the ***-stage tectonic evolution reflected the activation or end of different plate movements and provided new time constraints for the regional tectonic evolution of the NCC in the Mesozoic.

Single-shot ultrafast compressed imaging(UCI)is an effective tool for studying ultrafast dynamics in physics,chemistry,or material science because of its excellent high frame rate and large frame ***,the random code(Rcode)used in traditional UCI will lead to low-frequency noise covering high-frequency information due to its uneven sampling interval,which is a great challenge in the fidelity of large-frame ***,a high-frequency enhanced compressed active photography(H-CAP)is *** uniformizing the sampling interval of R-code,H-CAP capture the ultrafast process with a random uniform sampling *** sampling mode makes the high-frequency sampling energy dominant,which greatly suppresses the low-frequency noise blurring caused by R-code and achieves high-frequency information of image *** superior dynamic performance and large-frame reconstruction ability of H-CAP are verified by imaging optical self-focusing effect and static object,*** applied H-CAP to the spatial-temporal characterization of double-pulse induced silicon surface ablation dynamics,which is performed within 220 frames in a single-shot of 300 ps.H-CAP provides a high-fidelity imaging method for observing ultrafast unrepeatable dynamic processes with large frames.

Modelling of daily Long-Term Urban Road Traffic Flow distribution: A Poisson Process Approach

Road traffic flow forecasting provides critical information for the operational management of road mobility challenges, and models are used to generate the forecast. This paper uses a random process to present a novel traffic modelling framework for aggregate traffic on urban roads. The main idea is that road traffic flow is random, even for the recurrent flow, such as rush hour traffic, which is predisposed to congestion. Therefore, the structure of the aggregate traffic flow model for urban roads should correlate well with the essential variables of the observed random dynamics of the traffic flow phenomena. The novelty of this paper is the developed framework, based on the Poisson process, the kinematics of urban road traffic flow, and the intermediate modelling approach, which were combined to formulate the model. Empirical data from an urban road in Ghana was used to explore the model’s fidelity. The results show that the distribution from the model correlates well with that of the empirical traffic, providing a strong validation of the new framework and instilling confidence in its potential for significantly improved forecasts and, hence, a more hopeful outlook for real-world traffic management.

Sulfur isotopes of S-bearing materials are powerful tools to trace various geological processes and sulfur sources in earth sciences,especially in ore deposits where sulfide-sulfate pair coprecipitates ***,in-situ S isotope determination of barite is challenging without natural matrix-matched reference *** this study,we present two natural barite reference materials(1-YS and 294-YS)for in-situ sulfur isotopic *** LA-MC-ICP-MS laboratories were utilized to test theδ34S micron-scale homogeneity of 1-YS and 294-YS barites that have 2s repeatabilities of better than±0.45‰and±0.41‰,***,the in-situ analysis results are consistent with the results of the bulk analysis by GS-IRMS within *** grand meanδ~(34)S values of 1-YS(13.37‰±0.42‰,2s)and 294-YS(14.38‰±0.44‰,2s)are the final recommended values obtained from four independent *** the results confirm the suitability of 1-YS and 294-YS barite used as calibration materials with respect to in-situ S isotopic ***,the new developed barite reference materials were used as matrix-matched standard to calibrate the barite samples from the Huayangchuan carbonatite-hosted U-polymetallic deposit(Qinling orogenic belt,western China)to obtainδ34S *** the temperaturedependentδ34S fractionation of barite-pyrite pair,we calculate the formation temperature of barite(i.e.,506 to 537°C)and theδ34S value of mineralizing fluid(i.e.,-7.11‰to-7.59‰)in the Huayangchuan *** results indicate an involvement of sedimentary sulfur,presumably acting as a potential uranium source(e.g.,upper crustal materials)for the giant Huayangchuan deposit.

Improve Strategy for Transient Power Angle Stability Control of VSG Combining Frequency difference Feedback and Virtual Impedance

As the penetration rate of distributed energy increases,the transient power angle stability problem of the virtual synchronous generator(VSG)has gradually become *** view of the situation that the grid impedance ratio(R/X)is high and affects the transient power angle stability of VSG,this paper proposes a VSG transient power angle stability control strategy based on the combination of frequency difference feedback and virtual *** improve the transient power angle stability of the VSG,a virtual impedance is adopted in the voltage loop to adjust the impedance ratio R/X;and the PI control feedback of the VSG frequency difference is introduced in the reactive powervoltage link of theVSGto enhance the damping ***-orderVSGdynamic nonlinearmodel considering the reactive power-voltage loop is established and the influence of different proportional integral(PI)control parameters on the system balance stability is ***,the impact of the impedance ratio R/X on the transient power angle stability is presented using the equal area *** the simulations,during the voltage dips with the reduction of R/X from 1.6 to 0.8,Δδ_(1)is reduced from 0.194 rad to 0.072 rad,Δf_(1)is reduced from 0.170 to 0.093 Hz,which shows better transient power angle *** results verify that compared with traditional VSG,the proposedmethod can effectively improve the transient power angle stability of the system.
