Functional recovery from central nervous system(CNS)trauma depends not only on axon regeneration or compensatory sprouting of uninjured fibers but also on the ability of newly grown axons to establish functional synapses with appropriate *** several studies have successfully promoted long-distance axonal regeneration in distinct CNS injury models,none of them have resulted in a viable therapeutic approach for patient recovery.A possible reason may be the lack of new synaptogenesis for reestablishing the circuitry lost after ***,we discuss how our understanding of the mechanisms that instruct synapse formation in the injured nervous system may contribute to the design of new strategies to promote functional restoration in traumatic CNS disorders.

This study reports the influence of sintering mechanism and reinforcement materials on the formation of ultra-fine and nanograins in Al-TiB-Y nanohybrid composites. The mechanical properties of the composites and their corresponding micro and nanostructures are correlated. The experimental and characterization results revealed that despite the addition of TiB, the hard and brittle AlTi phase formation in the composites was suppressed and hence, their ductility was retained. It was found that yttrium content of 0.3 wt% was the optimum amount which created advantageous spark plasma sintering conditions, and the addition of 0.3 wt% promoted the formation of bi-modal size grains（ultra-fine and nano） along with micro grains, Ω and other nano precipitates, resulting in a significant enhancement in the composite properties. The formation of ultra-fine and nanograins may be attributed to the combined effect of melting and rapid solidification at necking zones due to Joule’s heating and thermomechanical fatigue. Among all the sintered composites, the highest hardness（137 HV）, ultimate tensile strength（UTS）(496 MPa), yield strength（YS）(438 MPa) with 15.7% elongation were obtained in the sintered sample reinforced with 1.0 wt% TiBand 0.3 wt% yttrium.

A mathematical model for the steady,mixed convection heat and mass transfer along a semi-infinite vertical plate embedded in a micropolar fluid in the presence of Soret and dufour effects is *** non-linear governing equations and their associated boundary conditions are initially cast into dimensionless forms using local similarity *** resulting system of equations is then solved numerically using the Keller-box *** numerical results are compared and found to be in good agreement with previously published results as special cases of the present *** non-dimensional velocity,microrotation,temperature and concentration profiles are displayed graphically for different values of coupling number,Soret and dufour *** addition,the skin-friction coefficient,the Nusselt number and Sherwood number are shown in a tabular form.

Mechanically durable transparent electrodes are essential for achieving long-term stability in flexible optoelectronic ***,they are crucial for applications in the fields of energy,display,healthcare,and soft *** meshes represent a promising alternative to traditional,brittle,metal oxide conductors due to their high electrical conductivity,optical transparency,and enhanced mechanical *** this paper,we present a simple method for fabricating an ultra-transparent conducting metal oxide mesh electrode using selfcracking-assisted *** this method,we produced an electrode with ultra-transparency(97.39%),high conductance(Rs=21.24Ωsq^(−1)),elevated work function(5.16 eV),and good mechanical *** also evaluated the effectiveness of the fabricated electrodes by integrating them into organic photovoltaics,organic light-emitting diodes,and flexible transparent memristor devices for neuromorphic computing,resulting in exceptional device *** addition,the unique porous structure of the vanadium-doped indium zinc oxide mesh electrodes provided excellent flexibility,rendering them a promising option for application in flexible optoelectronics.

A plate of dual phase steel was produced from low carbon steel with intercritical annealing treatment. Its optically determined surface microstructure was utilized to construct three different microstructural models. To describe the ductile damage in the ferritic matrix, the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman model was used with the failure in the martensite phase being ignored. The numerical results obtained for the mechanism of void initiation and coalescence were compared with the experimental observations. The numerical results obtained from the randomly extruded 3d model showed a significantly better agreement with the experimental ones than those obtained from the 2d model or the uniformly extruded 3d model.

The recovery of yttrium is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(d2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a macro porous polymeric resin XAd-7(solid phase).Yttrium ions extraction and discharge tests were performed,firstly from a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 mg/L Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium,volume fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/L)ratio on the yttrium recovery were *** most favorable conditions for yttrium ions extraction are;20 vol% d_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/L ratio of 10 mg/mL The discharge of yttrium ions was done under the same conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 mol/L [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium is extracted,while 75% yttrium is recovered in the striping *** all experiments,the reaction equilibrium is reached after 20 min,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determined as a second-order ***,experiments were carried out to discharge the yttriumloaded resins,and it has been determined that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m a waste fluorescent la mp powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),demonstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium,separating it from various metals from the studied residue.
