The current definition of the meter as based on the time of light transmission and the postulated universal constant light speed is ill-defined and inadequate. The definition fails to identify which second is required, whether to use coordinate or proper time, or which method to construct an exact meter, besides ignoring gravity’s effect. In Einstein’s 1905 paper that defined special relativity, Einstein stipulated correctly that light traversing the ends of a resting rod takes equal time transmissions in either direction. If that rod is oriented parallel to a constant velocity, a photon from one end of the moving rod takes a longer time span with a universal constant light speed to overtake the receding end and takes a shorter time span to intercept the approaching end of the rod when transmitted in the opposite direction, resulting in a longer roundtrip distance of photons traversing the moving rod versus the resting rod. Length contraction undercompensates this difference. Einstein did not address this issue. However, Einstein claimed the unequal time intervals over the moving rod versus equal intervals over the resting rod are because simultaneous states for the resting observer and resting rod are nonsimultaneous for the constant moving observer. This contradicts his first postulate of relativity: any state of a physical system (e.g., equal timed traverses of photons moving over a rod) is unaffected by a constant translational velocity between inertial reference frames. An in-depth analysis examines Einstein’s thought experiment for an adequate redefinition. The analysis reveals one-way photon velocities obey vector velocity addition involving moving photon sources, but it proves by induction that roundtrip photon traverses have an average speed that is identical to the standard light speed c. Cancer of the breast is the second leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide. The majority of cancer of the breast cases (95%) is not hereditary. Can long-term cell phone use be linked to breast cancer? It is unlikely that electromagnetic radiation is involved, but it could possibly be due to the generated heat (cell phones only occasionally transmit when people are not talking on them). Therefore, is there any method or reported statistics that can be used to link the increasing breast cancer incidence with cell phone use and placement? Some young women who placed their mobile devices, including cell phones, in their bra believed that it caused their cancer because it was on the same side and in the same area their phone was adjacent to and came into contact with their skin for prolonged periods. This review highlights what is known about the link between cell phone use, which continues to increase rapidly, and breast cancer explores the association between prolonged exposure to non-ionizing radiation from cell phones and breast cancer. In conclusion, until more data are obtained concerning whether carrying a cell phone is associated with breast cancer, great care should be taken to avoid any potential risks. Strenuous efforts should be made to encourage users of cell phones to follow mobile device manufacturers’ recommendations, and if possible, to avoid skin contact until the potential risks, if there are any, are fully understood.

About the Nature of the Quantum System—An Examination of the Random discontinuous Motion Interpretation of the Quantum Mechanics

What is the quantum system? Consider the wave-function of the electron—what we call “single particle wave-function”—and assume that it contains N wave-packets. If we pass all the wave-packets through an electric field, all are deflected, as if each one of them contains an electron. However, if we bring any two wave-packets to travel close to one another, they don’t repel one another, as if at least one of them contains no charge. In trying to solve the measurement problem of the quantum mechanics (QM), different interpretations were proposed, each one coming with a particular ontology. However, only one interpretation paid explicit attention to the contradiction mentioned above. This interpretation was proposed by S. Gao who named it “random discontinuous motion” (RdM), because it assumes the existence of a particle that jumps from place to place at random. The particle carries all the physical properties of the respective type of particle, mass, charge, magnetic momentum, etc. It jumps under the control of an “instantaneous condition” about which Gao did not give details so far. Along with presenting problems of the QM that this interpretation solves, this text reveals difficulties vis-à-vis entanglements and the special relativity.

Twenty patients with various forms of lymphedema were studied by indirect lymphography. Isovist, a new non-ionic, water-soluble, dimeric contrast media, was used for intradermai infusion. Simultaneous indirect lymphography showed characteristic patterns of lymphatics. The initial lymphatics were visualized by intradermal infusion of the newly developed isovist. However, they were not opacified with direct lymphography unless in the presence of valvular insufficiency. No systemic side-effects were observed except for a feeling of discomfort at the injection site. The results showed that indirect lymphography with intradermal infusion of Isovist is useful for demonstrating dermal lymph vessels and for the diagnosis of lymphedema.

Remote control enzyme technology is widely used today through resonance. In this study, we showed that the use of frequencies of the catalase enzyme itself to increase enzymatic rate is successful not only in test tubes but also remotely. The present study also suggests that, under optimal temperature, the use of bovine catalase frequency (the specific frequency of that enzyme) has a superior rate promoting vibration than the human catalase frequency, and so increases very significantly the chemical rate of bovine catalase (about 120% at 40˚C). It also suggests that bovine catalase subjected to bovine and human frequencies with catalase bound NAdP+ experienced more resonance weight towards NAdP+ and so were more slowly reduced back to catalase bound NAdPH, increasing compound II formation rate, and slowing down the catalase activity rate.

A two-compartment model of the universe is proposed to further refine Albert Einstein’s insight into curvature of space and the energy tensor. The two compartments are energy contained by a shell prism. The model allows for a non-unification of fundamental forces with gravity resulting from the curvature of a space-time prism. Carrier forces travel within the prism and particles emerge from the prism. Giving a thickness to the manifold negates infinity and will allow solutions at both microscopic and cosmic levels. Geometry is the link between quantum mechanics and general relativity. Negative entropy, as proposed by Erwin Schrödinger, gives order to particles and the cosmic. The source of this energy is in the shell of the containment vessel. The acceleration of the expansion of the universe occurred when energy within the container transformed into mass, warping the space-time container and causing an explosion of the container. Star movement is explained by the surface tension of the prism of space-time.

Objective:To explore antibacterial activity and characterization of secondary metabolites isolated from mangrove plant Avicennia officinalis(***).Methods:In the present study the leaf extracts of *** were examined for its antibacterial potential using five different solvents against some reference strains of human pathogenic bacteria for the crude *** activity was observed for ethyl acetate and hence different concentrations like 15μL,25μL,and 50μL of ethyl extracts was checked for its antibacterial *** purification of crude extract was carried by column chromatography and fractions were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) to identify ***:The crude ethyl acetate extracts of *** showed remarkable antibacterial activity with zones of inhibition of 13 mm against Eschericia coli(***) and 11 mm against Staphylococcus aureus (***).Fraction 13(ethyl acetate:methanol= 8:2) as the most potent one against with the minimal inhibitory concentration of 30 mm against *** and 25 mm against *** GCMS resultsof active column fraction(F13) revealed that the active principals were a mixture of hydroxy- 4 methoxybenzoic acid,diethyl phthalate,oleic ***:The leaf extracts with proven antibacterial effects can clearly be directed towards cancer treatment as to inhibiting cancer cell *** limited number of test organisms owes to a constraint of ***,the effect of strong bursts of leaf extracts on human pathogenic bacteria should further be tested on a wide range of test organisms.

BACKGROUNd:Upper gastrointestinal(GI)bleeding is a common complication of portal hypertension in cirrhotic patients,and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common tumor in cirrhotic *** from tumor erosion into the GI tract is very rare.A patient with HCC and gastric tumor invasion was described and the previously reported cases were reviewed. METHOd:A patient with upper GI bleeding was treated in a tertiary hospital. RESULTS:A cirrhotic patient with a HCC invading the stomach leading to upper GI bleeding was treated by left lateral segmentectomy and sub-total *** bleeding was controlled and a good surgical outcome was achieved. CONCLUSIONS:HCC with gastric invasion should be differentially diagnosed from upper GI bleeding in cirrhotic *** can be controlled and symptomatic relief marked in selected cases.

When a quantum system is described by a superposition of wave-packets, each wave-packet traveling on a separate path, a commonly asked question is why only one of the wave-packets is able to trigger a click in a detector. In the second half of the last century many scientists considered the possibility that not all these wave-packets are identical. Namely, that there exist “full waves” and “empty waves”. The two types of waves were supposed to be identical only in the sense that they are able to produce interference when crossing one another, however, the full wave was supposed to be able to trigger a click in a detector, while the empty wave was supposed to leave the detector silent. The present text describes an experiment in which, for explaining the results, it seems necessary to admit the existence of full and empty waves.
