The Atri intracellular calcium oscillations model was extended, and two new models were established. Furthermore, a unified model of the protein phosphorylation driven by cytosolic calcium oscillations was constructed. The numerical results obtained verified related experimental conclusions. And the analytical expressions of intracellular calcium spiral and target waves in the Xenopus laevis oocyte were obtained, resulting in velocity and waveform of calcium solitary pulse wave were found.

The aim of this study was to review the outcome of surgical management of various types of perineal masses encountered in patients with anorectal malformations (ARM). Retrospective review from 2 large pediatric anorectal referral centers. Twentytwo patients with a perineal mass were identified in more than 2000 patients treated for an ARM over a 15-year period. The 22 patients (4 men) represented all levels of severity of ARMs. The lesions were of 3 types: lipomas (n = 10), vascular anomalies (n = 4), and hamartomas/ choristomas (n = 8). The lipomas were carefully removed from between the muscle fibers during the posterior sagittal anorectoplasty. The vascular anomalies (3 of 4 were hemangiomas) underwent magnetic resonance imaging preoperatively, but none were found to invade deeply and all were excised at the time of the posterior sagittal anorectoplasty. The hamartomas/choristomas all occurred in women, and 50%arose as a pedunculated mass from the vulva. The lesions contained tissues such as glia, osteoid, nephrogenic rests, and endocervical-type mucosa. One was initially misinterpreted as a teratoma, prompting awider excision. This and all subsequent patients have been correctly diagnosed pathologically as having either hamartomas or choristomas, which were not widely excised. Follow-up ranges from 5 months to 12 years. Six of the 10 lipoma patients are continent. One vascular anomaly was reexcised and there was minor wound separation in another. None of the hamartoma/choristoma lesions recurred. The presence of unusual perineal masses can add to the complexity of ARMs; however, most of these lesions can be carefully excised with preservation of the muscle complex and ultimate continence. Hamartomatous lesions can be mistaken for teratomas but do not require aggressive excision with clear margins.

Although brassica juncea (Indian mustard) is reported to be a good accumulator of metals, little is known of the selected varieties of b. juncea (cvs. Rai and bARI-11). This paper investigates the phytoaccumulation of arsenic, cadmium and lead by b. juncea (cvs. Rai and bARI-11) parents and F1 hybrids. The experiment was conducted in the hydroponic media in the greenhouse of University of Southampton under a Randomised block design. Sodium arsenite, cadmium sulphate and lead nitrate with 0 ppm, 0.5 ppm and 1 ppm were used. The cadmium treated plants were analysed by Varian Atomic absorption spectrophotometer-200. The samples of arsenic and lead were analysed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer. The results suggest that arsenic was detected only in the root systems while cadmium and lead were detected both in the root and shoot systems. Significant differences in the uptake were observed for different concentrations. Accumulation of arsenic was detected only in the root systems of b. juncea (cvs. Rai and bARI-11) at lower concentrations. Hence, this can be used as an agriculturally viable and efficient phytoaccumulator in the arsenic affected areas where contamination level is low and the contamination occurs at the rooting level.

目的:观察雷帕霉素滴眼液眼局部应用对大鼠高危角膜移植免疫排斥反应的影响,并观察其与环孢霉素A联合应用的效果。方法:实验于2004-12/2005-03在辽宁医学院动物实验室完成,选用健康雄性Sd受体大鼠50只及雌性Wistar供体大鼠23只。以Sd角膜新生血管化大鼠为受体,建立大鼠高危穿透性角膜移植动物模型。①造模及移植术后40只受体大鼠进入结果分析,按随机数字表法分为4组,每组10只。对照组滴用滴眼液基质,雷帕霉素组滴用2g/L雷帕霉素滴眼液,环孢霉素A组滴用10g/L环孢霉素A滴眼液,各组均100μL/次;雷帕霉素+环孢霉素A组应用2g/L雷帕霉素滴眼液联合10g/L环孢霉素A滴眼液滴眼,各50μL/次。手术后第2天起术眼开始用药,4次/d,连续用药至排斥反应发生。②对角膜植片在裂隙灯下进行临床观测,混浊、水肿和新生血管3项指标评分之和为当日排斥反应指数,当排斥反应指数≥5时,或者植片混浊一项达到3时视为排斥反应发生,记录角膜植片存活时间。③角膜移植术后第14天各组随机抽取4只受体大鼠行角膜组织学检查。结果:40只受体大鼠进入结果分析。①各组受体大鼠角膜植片的存活时间比较:对照组、雷帕霉素组、环孢霉素A组及雷帕霉素+环孢霉素A组角膜植片的存活时间分别为(7.67±1.03,16.67±1.63,15.50±2.43,21.33±2.94)d,各用药组角膜植片的存活时间与对照组比较均显著延长(P0.05)。②各组受体大鼠角膜移植术后14d角膜的组织形态学变化:各用药组角膜植片炎细胞浸润、新生血管形成及水肿程度均明显轻于对照组,雷帕霉素与环孢霉素A联合用药组植片中央部未见炎性细胞浸润及新生血管。结论:2g/L的雷帕霉素滴眼液能显著延长高危角膜移植角膜植片的存活时间,联合应用10g/L的环孢霉素A滴眼液具有协同作用,治疗效果优于雷帕霉素或环孢霉素A单独用药。

background. Angiogenesis is pivotal in the development and progression of ovarian cancer and is an ideal candidate for novel treatment approaches. Case. A case of advanced, recurrent and refractory serous carcinoma is presented that responded to bevacizumab 15 mg/m2 intravenously every 3 weeks after failing eleventh line cytotoxic chemotherapy and radiation. An objective durable response lasting at least 5 months was documented. Conclusion. bevacizumab has activity in epithelial ovarian carcinoma and larger scale trials are indicated.
