Study on effect of segments erection tolerance and wedge-shaped segment on segment ring in shield tunnel

deformation and dislocations of segments of shield tunnel in construction stage have apparent effect on tunnel structure stress and even cause local cracks and breakage in tunnel. 3d finite element method was used to analyze two segment ring models under uniform injected pressure: (1) segment ring without wedge-shaped segment, which has 16 types of preinstall erection tolerance; (2) segment ring with wedge-shaped segment, which has no preinstall erection tolerance. The analysis results indicate that different erection tolerances can cause irregular deformation in segment ring under uniform injected pressure, and that the tolerance values are enlarged further. Wedge-shaped segment apparently affects the overall deformation of segment ring without erection tolerances. The uniform injected pressure can cause deformation of ring with wedge-shaped segment irregular, and dislocations also appear in this situation. The stress of segment with erection tolerances is much larger than that of segment without erection tolerances. Enlarging the central angle of wedge-shaped segment can make the irregular deformation and dis- locations of segments smaller. The analysis results also provide basis for erection tolerance control and improvement of segment constitution.

In industry,the defective point data often make most surface reconstruction methods suffer from inherent problems that some specific aided information is difficult to obtain. To solve the problem,a novel implicit reconstruction method without any such information is proposed. This approach extends morphological operations into 3d space and provides an improved procedure to construct off-set gradient functions for indirect approximation. By this method,the d.a. relative functions guarantee a minimal crust surrounding the point data. They can generate a smooth and watertight resulting surface,filling holes and merging overlapping samples reasonably. Compared with other existing methods,the proposed method is better suited to handle defective point clouds in a convenient and efficient manner. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method.a.e demonstrated through a series of practical examples.

1 Introduction and main contributions Link prediction for temporal networks aims to evaluate the likelihood of the future linkage among nodes,which has significant applications in social networks,biological networks and traffic analysis[1],*** embedding[2]is an important analytical tool for temporal network link prediction,which helps us better understand network evolution[3].How to encode high-dimensional and non-Euclid.a. network information is a crucial problem for node embedding in temporal *** of the challenges is to reveal the spatial structure at each timestamp and the temporal property over time[4].Some existing work[5]shows that extracting the spatial relation of each node can be used.a. a valid feature representation for each ***,the emergence of deep learning techniques[4,5]brings new insights for learning temporal properties,but most models using deep learning still fail to achieve satisfying prediction accuracy.

Membrane separation technology is a possible breakthrough in post-combustion carbon dioxide capture process. This review first focuses on the requirements for C02 separation membrane, and then outlines the existing competitive materials, promising preparation methods and processes to achieve desirable CO2 selectivity and permeability. A particular emphasis is addressed on polyimides, poly （ethylene oxide）, mixed-matrix mem- brane, thermally-rearranged polymer, fixed site carrier membrane, ionic liquid membrane and electrod.a.ysis process. The ad.a.tages and d.a.backs of each of materials and methods are discussed. Research threads and methodology of CO2 separation membrane and the key issue in this area are concluded

The thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is a complicated natural phenomenon in the atmospheric physics. Hence we need to reduce it using basic models and solve the models using approximate methods. A non-linear model of the thermally and wind-driven ocean circulation is used in this paper. The results show that the zero solution of the linear equation is a stable focus point, which is the path curve trend origin point as time (t) trend to infinity. By using the homotopic mapping perturbation method, the exact solution of the model is obtained. The homotopic mapping perturbation method is an analytic solving method, so the obtained solution can be used for analytic operating sequentially. And then we can also obtain the diversified qualitative and quantitative behaviors for corresponding physical quantities.

Because potassium(K)is a rock-derived essential element that can be depleted in highly-weathered tropical soils,K availability may limit some portion of soil microbial activity in tropical forest *** this paper we tested if K limits microbial activity in the condition of sufficient labile C *** incubation experiment was performed using surface soil samples(0–10 cm depth)obtained from four permanent ecological research plots in a natural sub-tropical forest in southern *** samples were taken in September *** soil respiration rates and microbial biomass were measured.a.ter the addition of glucose(both d.a.d L)with and without K(potassium chloride).We did not observe any effects of K addition on soil microbial respiration,suggesting that K does not limit the microbial activity in the condition of sufficient labile C *** lack of microbial response to added K can be attributed to the high mobility of K in forest ecosystems,which may have provided sufficient K to microbes in our soil samples(already provided.a. the beginning of the incubation).However,at the present stage,we cannot conclude that K is not a limiting factor of soil microbial activity in other tropical forest ecosystems because of the heterogeneity of tropical forest ecosystems and few *** hypothesis needs to be tested in larger numbers of tropical forests.

Biomimeitc design of a Stubble-Cutting disc Using Finite Element Analysis

mole rat （Scaptochirus moschatus）, a soil-burrowing mammal, can efficiently dig soil using its fore claws. The profile curves of its claw toe provide excellent structure for digging. In this paper, a biomimetic stubble-cutting disc was designed by learning from the geometrical characteristics of the mole rat claw toes. To compare the structural strength and working eff^- ciency of the biomimetic disc and the conventional stubble-cutting disc, three-dimensional （3d） models of the discs were built and numerical analyzed in ABAQUS. In the dynamic soil cutting model, soil was modeled.a. an elastic-plastic material with elastic parameters, including Young＇s modulus, Poisson＇s ratio and drucker-Prager criterion, which were obtained from triaxial tests. A general contact algorithm was used to simulate the interaction between rotary disc and soil. In FEA models, for the combined.a.tion of normal and friction stresses, the stress on the biomimetic disc is 34.33% lower than that of the conventional disc. For only the normal stress, the stress on the biomimetic disc is 22.64% lower than that on the conventional one. The magnitude of soil stress in biomimetie disc cutting model is 6.87% higher than that in conventional disc. The FEA results indicate that the biomimetic disc performs better in structural strength and cutting efficiency.

This case is a complex presentation of Body dysmorphic disorder (Bdd), social phobia and unresolved grief in a 23 year old male with no social support. He appears to have benefitted immensely from a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), antidepressant medication and Occupational Therapy. Identification of patients with Bdd presenting in surgical and medical practices is essential and can be facilitated by validated screening tools such as the Body dysmorphic disorder Questionnaire (BddQ). At the moment, the best evidence-based treatment is CBT and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). Nonetheless, novel approaches to therapeutic applications include the investigation of eye-tracking focus on body parts in Bdd.
