Highly selective prod.ction of value-ad.ed.multicarbon(C2+) prod.cts via electrochemical CO2red.ction reaction（eCO2RR） on polycrystalline copper（Cu） remains ***,the facile surface mod.fication using poly（α-ethyl cyanoacrylate）(PECA) is presented.to greatly enhance the C2+selectivity for eCO2RR over polycrystalline Cu,with Farad.ic efficiency（FE） toward. C2+prod.cts increased.from30.1% for the Cu electrod. to 72.6% for the obtained.Cu-PECA electrod. at -1.1 V *** hyd.ogen electrod.（RHE）.Given the well-d.termined.FEs toward. About 80% of cowpea seed. are lost along with 30% of their weight after six months of unprotected.storage d.e to attacks by Callosobruchus maculatus. This stud. aimed.at evaluating the effect of applying bioinsecticid.s on the biological parameters of C. maculatus to red.ce its d.mage to cowpea stocks. Four treatments includ.ng an untreated.control and.three d.ses of powd.ry extracts of C. nigricans, Z. zanthoxyloid.s and.H. suaveolens, were compared.in a Fischer block with four completely rand.mized.repetitions. One hund.ed.und.maged.cowpea seed. were mixed.with d.ses of each extract in Petri d.shes and.then fed.as food.substrates to ten pairs of C. maculatus for eight d.ys. The extracts of H. suaveolens, C. nigricans and.Z. zanthoxyloid.s all contain active ingred.ents includ.ng polyphenols, flavonoid., anthocyanins and.alkaloid., etc. The extract of Z. zanthoxyloid.s was found.to be more active on ad.lts (100.00% mortality) followed.by C. nigricans (98.75% mortality) and.H. suaveolens (97.50% mortality) at 80 mg/g. Fecund.ty per female d.creased.significantly in the treated.batches of 13.82 eggs for H. suaveolens at 10.12 eggs for C. nigricans at a d.se of 80 mg/g. Germination rate of seed. was statistically raised.to 100% at 60 and.80 mg/g by C. nigricans powd.r and.lowered.to 83.00% at 20 mg/g by Z. zanthoxyloid.s extracts. The application of Z. zanthoxyloid.s extract would.be a less expensive alternative for the sustainable management of C. maculatus in cowpea stocks.

South of God., in the central-western region of Burkina Faso, granitoid. of Paleoproterozoic age are similar to those of the Man/Leo shield. This stud. focused.on the petrographic and.geochemical characteristics of these granitoid., with the following results: 1) The tonalite that outcrops in the south-west of the stud. area belongs to the TTG group or first generation granitoid.. They are most often ribboned.at outcrop and.have a geochemical signature close to that of Archean TTGs. Tonalite has a metaluminous character and.the REE spectrum ind.cates that it may be d.rived.from partial melting of basic magmatic rocks. 2) Biotite granites have no outcrop structure. They are weakly metaluminous to peraluminous and.potassic to highly potassic. Their rare earth spectra ind.cate that they may be d.rived.from the partial melting of TTG granitoid.. 3) Geotectonic d.agrams show that the granitoid. stud.ed.to the south of God. were emplaced.in an active tectonic context similar to that of present-d.y subd.ction zones.

Background. In Côte d.Ivoire so far, the circulating haplotypes have been inferred.on the phenotypic profiling of SCd.patients. The impact of the circulating haplotypes on the use of Hyd.oxyurea has not been assessed.yet. Therefore the objective of this stud. is to id.ntify in Abid.an the HbS haplotypes that mod.late HU treatment responses. Method.: In a cross-sectional d.scriptive and.analytical stud., child.en aged.5 to 15 years with SCd. and.carrying the hemoglobin phenotypes SSFA2 and.SFA2, were recruited.into a HU treatment cohort. Various parameters on the haplotypes and.the outcomes of the treatment were analyzed. Results: Thirty nine child.en with SCd.were includ.d. The phenotypic profile of the cohort was 86.6% of SSFA2 and.15.4% of SFA2. Three haplotypes were found. the Benin haplotype, the Senegal haplotype, and.an atypical one. The participants belonged.to three genotypes, Benin/atypical (64.1%), Benin/Senegal (33.3%) and.Senegal/Senegal (2.6%). Overall, HU treatment was successful in all haplotypes with 12 out of 39 patients failing treatment after 12 months in the Benin haplotype group. The association between HU treatment success and.the Benin haplotype was found.in terms of the d.crease in the number of white blood.cells and.the stud.nts missing class. Conclusion: The stud. revealed.that inferring haplotype based.on the phenotypic profile could.be inaccurate. The proportion of atypical haplotype that were not previously d.scribed.in Côte d.Ivoire was high. All the haplotypes seemed.to be associated.with HU treatment success but some patients with Benin haplotype d.d.not respond.well.

This stud., carried.out in the Léo square d.gree (west-central Burkina Faso) in the Palaeoproterozoic d.main of the Man/Léo rid.e, aims to d.fine the shapes and.positions of granitic plutons and.the organisation of d.formation structures using aeromagnetic d.ta. These d.ta have shown that there are small sub-circular granitic bod.es to the north of the granitic masses in this region, and.a large sub-circular granitic bod. to the south, around.which are other smaller granitic bod.es. The lineament map shows that the d.formation structures are organised.along three main d.rections and.largely form these sub-circular plutonic bod.es. We suggest that the granitic plutons are coalescent, pend.ng id.ntification of the internal structures of these granites to further refine the geod.namic mod.l.
