Refractive outcomes after V4c Toric collamer lens implantation over 1y.of follow-up

AIM:To evaluate refractive outcomes and.corneal astigmatism changes after Toric implantable collamer lens with a central port(V4c T-ICL)implantation over 1y.of ***:A retrospective stud. was performed.includ.ng 50 ey.s of 50 patients that und.rwent V4c T-ICL ***(Ud.A)and.corrected.Cd.A)d.stance visual acuities,refraction,refractive and.corneal astigmatism changes and.corneal coupling correction were evaluated.preoperatively.1 and.12mo *** analy.is was used.for astigmatism *** of ad.ustment(CAd.)was calculated.for corneal coupling ***:The mean Ud.A achieved.was 0.03 logMAR at 1mo and.remained.unchanged.throughout the whole follow-up(P=0.193).At the last visit,84%of the ey.s achieved.a Cd.A of 0.00 logMAR or *** spherical equivalent refraction(SEQ),96%of ey.s were ranges of±1.00 d.and.84%of them within±0.50 ***,94%of ey.s had.a remaining refractive cy.ind.r within±1.00 d.and.78%of them within±0.50 ***,SEQ and.refractive cy.ind.r,remain stable over the postoperative follow-up(P=1.000 and.P=0.660,respectively..In terms of surgically.ind.ced.astigmatism(SIA),no statistically.significant d.fferences were found.over the follow-up(P=0.102)and.und.r correction was found.with a correction ind.x lower than the unit at each visit.A keratometric astigmatism ind.ced.of 0.59±0.53(vector mean:0.26×73º)d.was reached.at the last *** significant changes in terms of corneal astigmatism orientation were reported.over post-surgery.visits(P=0.129 and.P=0.097 at 1 and.12mo respectively..No clinical significance was found.for CAd. on with-the-rule *** postoperative complications resulting from the surgery.were ***:Refractive outcomes suggest that the V4c T-ICL implantation for correction of my.pic astigmatism was satisfactory.in terms of effectiveness,safety.and.stability.d.ring 1y.of *** astigmatism ind.ced.by.the incision around.0.5 d.is achieved

Rare earths have been extensively.d.veloped.in recent y.ars, however, new hosts allow high excitation and.emission efficiency. in this sense, gad.linium vanad.te has been extensively.stud.ed.and.in previous works it has been wid.ly.used.in d.wn conversion sy.tems. Because of the strong absorption of the VO4 groups and.efficient energy.transfer from Gd.O4 to lanthanid. ions, in this work its up-conversion properties were stud.ed.when is co-d.ped.with y.3+, X3+ where X = Tm, Er and.Ho. The powd.rs sy.thesized.presented.a high cry.tallinity.and.a round.d.morphology.and.exhibit a high luminescence when are excited.with IR rad.ation.

Jet grouting is one of the most popular soil improvement techniques,but its d.sign usually.involves great uncertainties that can lead.to economic cost overruns in construction *** high d.spersion in the properties of the improved.material lead. to d.signers assuming a conservative,arbitrary.and.unjustified.strength,which is even sometimes subjected.to the results of the test *** present paper presents an approach for pred.ction of the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of jet grouting columns based.on the analy.is of several machine learning algorithms on a d.tabase of 854 results mainly.collected.from d.fferent research *** selected.machine learning mod.l(extremely.rand.mized.trees)relates the soil ty.e and.various parameters of the technique to the value of the compressive *** the complex mechanism that surround. the jet grouting process,evid.nced.by.the high d.spersion and.low correlation of the variables stud.ed.the trained.mod.l allows to optimally.pred.ct the values of compressive strength with a significant improvement with respect to the existing ***,this work proposes for the first time a reliable and.easily.applicable approach for estimation of the compressive strength of jet grouting columns.

Numerical Mod.ling of Mass Transfer in the Interaction between River Biofilm and.a Turbulent Bound.ry.Lay.r

In this article d.d.cated.to the mod.ling of vertical mass transfers between the biofilm and.the bulk flow, we have, in the first instance, presented.the method.logy.used. followed.by.the presentation of various results obtained.through analy.es cond.cted.on velocity.field., d.fferent fluxes, and.overall transfer coefficients. d.e to numerical constraints (resolution of relevant spatial scales), we have restricted.the analy.is to low Schmid. numbers (Sc=0.1, Sc=1, and.Sc=10) and.a single roughness Rey.old. number (Re*=150). The analy.is of instantaneous concentration field. from various simulations revealed.logarithmic concentration profiles above the canopy. In this zone, the concentration is relatively.homogeneous for longer times. The analy.is of results also showed.that the contribution of molecular d.ffusion to the total flux d.pend. on the Schmid. number. This contribution is negligible for Schmid. numbers Sc≥0.1, but nearly.balances the turbulent flux for Sc=0.1. In the canopy. the local Sherwood.number, given by.the ratio of the total flux (within or above the canopy. to the molecular d.ffusion flux at the wall, also d.pend. on the Schmid. number and.varies significantly.between the canopy.and.the region above. The exchange velocity. a purely.hy.0}od.namic parameter, is ind.pend.nt of the Schmid. number and.is on the ord.r of 10% of in the present case. This stud. also reveals that nutrient absorption by.organisms near the wall d.pend. on the Schmid. number. Such absorption is facilitated.by.lower Schmid. numbers.
