The recent completion of the rose genome sequence is not the end.of a process,but rather a starting point that opens up a whole set of new and.exciting *** to a high-quality genome sequence other genomic tools have also become available for rose,includ.ng transcriptomics d.ta,a high-d.nsity single-nucleotid. polymorphism array and.software to perform linkage and.quantitative trait locus mapping in *** cultivars are highly heterogeneous and.*** vast d.versity in cultivated.roses can be explained.through the genetic potential of the genus,introgressions from wild.species into commercial tetraploid.germplasm and.the inimitable efforts of historical *** can now investigate how this d.versity can best be exploited.and.refined.in future breed.ng work,given the rich molecular toolbox now available to the rose breed.ng *** paper presents possible lines of research now that rose has entered.the genomics era,and.attempts to partially answer the question that arises after the completion of any d.aft genome sequence:‘now that we have“the”genome,what’s next?’.Having access to a genome sequence will allow both(fund.mental)scientific and.applied.breed.ng-orientated.questions to be *** outline possible approaches for a number of these questions.

The Arabid.psis heterotrimeric G-protein controls d.fense responses to necrotrophic and.vascular fungi. The agbl mutant impaired.in the Gβ subunit d.splays enhanced.susceptibility to these pathogens. Gβ/AGB1 forms an obligate d.mer with either one of the Arabid.psis Gγsubunits （γ1/AGG1 and.γ2/AGG2）. Accord.ngly, we now d.monstrate that the aggl agg2 d.uble mutant is as susceptible as agbl plants to the necrotrophic fungus Plectosphaerella cucumerina. To elucid.te the molecular basis of heterotrimeric G-protein-med.ated.resistance, we performed.a comparative transcriptomic analysis of agbl-1 mutant and.wild.type plants upon inoculation with P cucumerina. This analysis, together with metab- olomic stud.es, d.monstrated.that G-protein-med.ated.resistance was ind.pend.nt of d.fensive pathways required.for resistance to necrotrophic fungi, such as the salicylic acid. jasmonic acid. ethylene, abscisic acid. and.tryptophan-d.rived.metabolites signaling, as these pathways were not impaired.in agbl and.aggl agg2 mutants. notably, many mis-reguiated.genes in agbl plants were related.with cell wall functions, which was also the case in aggl agg2 mutant. Biochemical analyses and.Fourier Transform InfraRed.（FTIR） spectroscopy of cell walls from G-protein mutants revealed.that the xylose content was lower in agbl and.aggl agg2 mutants than in wild.type plants, and.that mutant walls had.similar FTIR spec-tratypes, which d.ffered.from that of wild.type plants. The d.ta presented.here suggest a canonical functionality of the Gβ and.Gγ1/γ2 subunits in the control of Arabid.psis immune responses and.the regulation of cell wall composition.

Prognostic Value of Lymphocyte Vascular d.nsity and.E-Cad.erin in Inflammatory Breast Cancer

Background. We recently evaluated.four laboratory assays, vascular end.thelial growth factor d.(VEGF-d., E-cad.erin, lymphatic vessel d.nsity (LVd. measured.by pod.planin, and.intra-lymphatic tumor emboli (ILTE), which showed.notable d.fferences between inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) and.non-inflammatory locally ad.anced.breast cancer (LABC). In this stud. we investigated.the potential of the three most quantitatively measured.markers, E-cad.erin, LVd.and.VEGF-d. to pred.ct survival in the IBC patients. materials and.method.: This stud. involved.the 100 cases id.ntified.in the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Registry (IBCR) whose tumors were previously evaluated.for the four assays noted.above. Living patients were recontacted.and.survival d.ta were available for up to 17 years. Overall survival (OS) was analyzed.through the Kaplan-meier method.stratified.by E-cad.erin, LVd. VEGF-d. and.response to chemotherapy. The d.fferences in OS curves were compared.using the log-rank test. Results: The med.an OS for patients with high LVd.was 6.63 years (95% CI: 4.06 to 10.14), compared.to med.an at 10 years not reached.in those with low LVd.(p = 0.03). There was a trend.toward. a longer med.an OS in patients with high E-cad.erin (10.14, 95% CI: 6.63 to 11.67), compared.with those with low E-cad.erin (6.26, 95% CI: 3.42 to und.terminable). VEGF-d.levels showed.no correlation with survival. Conclusion: Low LVd.significantly pred.cts better survival. High E-cad.erin expression, as with non-IBC breast cancer and.several other malignancies, tend. to be associated.with a better prognosis.

Introd.ction: Coronavirus 19 d.sease (COVId.19) often presents several serious complications in patients. 25-hyd.oxyvitamin d.[25(OH)d. d.ficiency is consid.red.a risk factor for severe forms of the d.sease. Objective: The objective of this work was to d.termine the prevalence and.factors associated.with vitamin d.d.ficiency in patients with COVId.19 in Parakou in 2021. method.: The method.used.was a d.scriptive and.analytical cross-sectional stud. with prospective d.ta collection that covered.the period.of August 1, 2021, to d.cember 30, 2021. It concerned.patients with COVId.19, symptomatic or not, in the commune of Parakou, selected.by non-probability sampling. The 25(OH)d.assay was performed.by an enzyme immunoassay using the heterogeneous phase competition technique. Logistic regression was used.to d.termine the factors associated.with 25(OH)d.d.ficiency at the 5% threshold. Results: A total of 197 patients with COVId.19 were includ.d.in the stud. with a mean age of 35.4 ± 15.2 years;with a female pred.minance (52.3%). The overall prevalence of 25(OH)d.d.ficiency was 31.5% (95% CI [25.1 - 38.5]);it was 32.0% in females and.30.8% in males. 25(OH)d.d.ficiency was more observed.in patients ≥ 60 years than in patients no significant d.fference (p = 0.121), and.in females (32.0%) than in males (30.8%) with no significant d.fference either (p = 0.857). d.abetes (p = 0.036), overweight or obesity (p = 0.032), severe d.sease forms (p = 0.003) and.rhinitis (p = 0.009) were significantly associated.with 25(OH)d.d.ficiency. Conclusion: One-third.of patients with COVId.19 in Parakou in 2021 were 25(OH)d.d.ficient. 25(OH)d.d.ficiency is associated.with the severe form of the d.sease and.with comorbid.ties justifying supplementation of this vitamin to patients with COVId.19.

蛛网膜下腔出血（subarachnoid.emorrhage，SAH）是一种可对中枢神经系统造成毁灭性打击并对其他多个器官产生显著影响的急性脑血管病。SAH患者被常规收入重症监护病房并由多学科团队进行治疗。由于高质量研究证据的缺乏，使得治疗方法各异，可供选择的指导意见不多。现有的指南主要强调危险因素、预防、自然史以及再出血的预防，很少涉及SAH患者的重症监护问题。美国神经危重症监护学会组织了一次国际性多学科共识会议来探讨SAH的重症监护处理。根据发表的文章和研究领域，此次会议召集了来自欧洲和北美地区的神经重症监护科、神经外科、神经内科、介入神经放射科和神经麻醉科方面的专家。根据临床经验和制定实践指南方面的经验，选择4名经验丰富的神经重症监护专家组成评判委员会。应用推荐分级的评估、制定与评价（Grad.sofRecommend.tionsAssessment，d.velopmentand.valuation，GRAd.）系统进行文献回顾，结合参会者的经验、评判委员会的审评以及文献讨论产生推荐意见。应用GRAd.系统制定推荐意见，其制定原则不仅强调研究资料的质量，而且还重视利弊权衡与实践转化。对SAH患者日常处理过程中面临的所有问题均提供指导和推荐意见，即使缺乏高质量的证据。

Impact of Swelling Ind.ces of Sokoto Clays on the mould.ng Properties of the Clays in Sand.mixtures

The Impact of Swelling Ind.ces of Sokoto Clays on the mould.ng Properties of the Clays in Sand.mixtures was investi- gated. Four clays (labeled.A, B, C, d. from d.fferent locations in Sokoto state of nigeria were sampled. The sampling method.was that for each d.posit five samples were taken at d.fferent positions and.then mixed.together. At the labora- tory they were washed.to remove organic matter and.then d.ied.at 110°C in the oven. A laboratory ball mill was used.to grind.the d.ied.clays. Each of the clay was then sampled.for the d.termination of its swelling ind.x. The d.termination of the mould.ng properties of the clays then followed. Only green compression strength, d.y compression strength and.green permeability, mould.ng properties were d.termined. The analysis of the result revealed.that clay B has the highest green and.d.y strength values it had.the highest green compression strength of 71.7 Kn/m2 and.the highest d.y com- pression strength of 3225.75 Kn/m2. Clay B also has the highest swelling ind.x of 60% and.very high d.gree of expan- siveness when compared.to the other three clays. Clay B was followed.by clay A with swelling ind.x of 25%;the clay has high green and.d.y compression strength and.a mod.rate d.gree of expansiveness. The inability of clay d.with swelling ind.x of 40% to be the next clay to clay B which has the highest swelling ind.x of 60% among the four clays in terms of good.mould.ng properties is an ind.cation that high swelling ind.x d.es not always mean good.mould.ng properties in clay bind.rs.

A miniature forward.viewing end.scopic probe that provid.s high-resolution 3d.photoacoustic images is *** probe is of outer d.ameter 3.2mm and.comprised.of a transparent Fabry-Pérot(FP)polymer-film ultrasound.sensor that is located.at the d.stal end.of a rigid.optical fiber *** laser pulses are coupled.simultaneously into all cores of the bund.e and.are transmitted.through the FP sensor to provid. wid.-field.tissue illumination at the d.stal *** resulting photoacoustic waves are mapped.in 2d.by sequentially scanning the input end.of the bund.e with an interrogation laser beam in ord.r to ind.vid.ally ad.ress d.fferent points on the FP *** this way,the sensor acts as a high-d.nsity ultrasound.array that is comprised.of 50,000 ind.vid.al elements,each of which is 12μm in d.ameter,within the 3.2mm d.ameter footprint of the *** fine spatial sampling that this afford.,along with the wid. band.id.h(f_(-3d.)=34 mHz)of the sensor,enables a high-resolution photoacoustic image to be *** measured.on-axis lateral resolution of the probe was d.pth-d.pend.nt and.ranged.from 45-170μm for d.pths between 1 and.7 mm,and.the vertical resolution was 31μm over the same d.pth *** system was evaluated.by acquiring 3d.images of absorbing phantoms and.the microvascular anatomies of a d.ck embryo and.mouse *** image fid.lity was *** is anticipated.that this type of probe could.find.application as a tool for guid.ng laparoscopic proced.res,fetal surgery and.other minimally invasive interventions that require a millimeter-scale forward.viewing 3d.photoacoustic imaging probe.

地震地表破裂是地壳弹性应变转化为永久性构造变形的表现形式.2001年昆仑山地震在东昆仑断裂带库赛湖段产生的地表破裂带整体长426km,由西部剪切走滑破裂段、中部张剪切破裂段和东部剪切走滑破裂段等3个相对独立的地表破裂段组成,即昆仑山地震由震级为mw=6.8,mw=6.2和mw≤7.8的3次地震破裂事件组成,其中东段mw≤7.8级地震为昆仑山地震主震,由4次更次级地震事件组成.野外测量表明,不同段落上单条地表破裂宽度一般介于数米至15m,最大不超过30m;组合地表破裂带的宽度主要取决于几何结构,特别是次级地表破裂带斜列区的宽度,具有变形局部化的基本特征.结合东昆仑断裂带第四纪地质速率与GPS监测应变速率一致性,2001年昆仑山地震地表破裂局部化特征说明,青藏高原北部巴颜喀拉与祁连-柴达木两大块体间的构造变形主要表现为东昆仑断裂带宽度有限的剪切走滑错动,东昆仑山断裂带南北两侧块体具有整体运动特征.地震破裂局部化特征对确定重大工程、居民住宅和生命线工程等免遭走滑断层同震地表错动引起直接破坏的避让带宽度具有十分重要现实意义.
