This stud. explores how the chemical interaction between magnesium hyd.id.(mgH_(2))and.the ad.itive CrO_(3) influences the hyd.ogen/lithium storage characteristics of mgH_(2).We have observed.that a 5 wt.%CrO_(3) ad.itive red.ces the d.hyd.ogenation activation energy of mgH_(2) by 68 kJ/mol and.lowers the required.d.hyd.ogenation temperature by 80℃.CrO_(3) ad.ed.mgH_(2) was also tested.as an anod. in an Li ion battery,and.it is possible to d.liver over 90%of the total theoretical capacity(2038 mAh/g).Evid.nce for improved.reversibility in the battery reaction is found.only after the incorporation of ad.itives with mgH_(2).In d.pth characterization stud. by X-ray d.ffraction(XRd.technique provid.s convincing evid.nce that the CrO_(3) ad.itive interacts with mgH_(2) and.prod.ces Cr/mgO *** free energy analyses confirm the thermod.namic feasibility of conversion from mgH_(2)/CrO_(3) to mgO/Cr,which is well supported.by the id.ntification of Cr(0)in the powd.r by X ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)*** high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEm)and.energy d.spersive spectroscopy(Ed.)we found.evid.nce for the presence of 5 nm size Cr nanocrystals on the surface of mgO rock salt *** is also convincing ground.to consid.r that mgO rock salt accommod.tes Cr in the *** observations support the argument that creation of active metal–metal d.ssolved.rock salt oxid. interface may be vital for improving the reactivity of mgH_(2),both for the improved.storage of hyd.ogen and.lithium.

Recently,it has been realized.that in some systems internal space rotation can ind.ce energy amplification for scattered.waves,similar to rotation in real *** particularly,it has been shown that energy extraction is possible for a Q-ball,a stationary non-topological soliton that is coherently rotating in its field.*** this paper,we generalize the analysis to the case of boson stars,and.show that the same energy extraction mechanism still works for boson stars.

Post-fire recovery of Puya raimond.i, vegetation and.bird. in the puna of Huascarán national Park, Perú

A large fire of 233 ha in Huascarán national Park in Peru provid.d.an opportunity to compare plant and.bird.responses in burned.and.nearby unburned.zones of the puna. Heights and.live d.ameters of flagship Puya raimond.i rosettes(assigned.to four broad.d.velopmental phases), plant communities(66 species in 24 families and.nine growth forms) and.bird.communities(77 species in six trophic guild.) were monitored.after the fire. Although no mortality was observed. Puya raimond.i plants were affected.by the fire, losing approximately 60% of their photosynthetic area across all d.velopmental phases, but recovered.quickly d.ring the first two years after fire. The comparison of Puya rosette recovery after fire was complicated.by the changes in live rosette d.ameter for unburned.plants, which showed.plasticity of photosynthetic area linked.to seasonal and.annual fluctuations in precipitation in this relatively d.y environment(d.creased.by 26% for mature ad.lt plants over the stud. period.. Fire caused.an immed.ate change in the d.nsity, biomass and.composition of vegetation. Although the species present remained.similar, their abund.nces changed.significantly immed.ately after the fire, with notable red.ctions in d.minant tussock grasses. This provid.d.opportunities for other plants, resulting in higher postfire d.versity of plant species, genera, families and.growth forms. In turn, the changes in vegetation after fire affected.the composition of bird. accord.ng to their trophic guild. Granivores largely d.sappeared.generalists were mostly unaffected. and.other guild. showed.a more complex response. As the vegetation recovered. most d.splaced.bird. returned.within approximately one year.

Introd.ction: Work-related.accid.nts are frequent and.serious in the construction sector. The aim of the stud. was to d.termine the frequency and.factors associated.with occupational accid.nts on the construction site of a referral hospital in Benin. method.: A cross-sectional stud. was carried.out. The sample size was calculated.using the Schwartz form ad.usted.for the number of workers on site and.was 129 workers. Rand.m sampling was used. The d.pend.nt variable was work-related.accid.nts. The other variables were socio-d.mographic and.occupational characteristics. d.ta were collected.through a questionnaire survey. med.ans and.proportions were calculated. An association was sought using Chi-square and.Fisher tests with a threshold.of p Results: A total of 132 workers were includ.d. Their med.an age was 30 years with an ITQ of [27 - 38];men were the most represented.126 (95.45%) with a level of ed.cation higher than or equal to high school in 101 (76.52%) and.in the majority with a permanent status 85 (64.39%). Seniority of more than 5 years was observed.in 92 (69.7%). Workers working more than 8 hours of overtime per week numbered.57 (43.18%). Exposure to vibrating objects was 49 (37.12%). In terms of psychosocial constraints, 82.58% had.high psychological d.mand.;79.53% low d.cision-making latitud.;50.76% low social support. The frequency of work-related.accid.nts was 6.82%, and.the only associated.factor was the type of worker (p = 0.016). On the other hand. there were 10.2% accid.nts among workers hand.ing vibrating objects versus 4.98% among those not using them. Introd.ction: Living and.working cond.tions are increasingly cond.cive to a sed.ntary lifestyle. many ad.inistrative workers are exposed.d.ily to long hours of work in a prolonged.sitting position, which can favour the onset of d.abetes. The aim of the stud. was to d.termine the prevalence and.factors associated.with d.abetes among workers at a town hall in Benin in 2019. method.: This was a d.scriptive cross-sectional stud. cond.cted.from d.cember 2018 to January 2019. Exhaustive recruitment was carried.out. d.ta were collected.d.ring a face-to-face interview, using a stand.rd.zed.questionnaire includ.ng socio-professional factors, behavioral factors, anthropometric measurements, and.blood.glucose. Frequencies were calculated. Frequencies were compared.using the chi-square and.Fisher tests. The significance threshold.was 5%. Results: A total of 85 workers were includ.d. Their mean age was 41.55 ± 9.82 years, with a sex ratio of 6.1. = The prevalence of d.abetes was estimated.at 8.2% [95% CI: 3.38 - 16.23%] and.3 of the workers knew they had.d.abetes. A family history of d.abetes was associated.with d.abetes (p = 0.032). Occupationally, 10.77% of permanent employees had.d.abetes, compared.with 0.0% of non-permanent employees;12.50% of employees with at least 10 years’ seniority had.d.abetes, compared.with 7.25% of those with less seniority;19.05% of employees who spent at least 6 hours a d.y sitting at work had.d.abetes, compared.with 4.69% of those who spent less time sitting. Conclusion: Preventing chronic d.sease in the workplace is part of promoting workers’ health, and.must take into account occupational factors such as prolonged.sitting.
