The Paramillos d. Uspallata mining d.strict located.in the backarc region of the Pampean flat-slab segment(28°-33°S) features porphyry-type d.posits genetically associated.with Mid.le Miocene volcanics. This mineralizing magmatism comprising hyd.othermally altered.sod.c-calcic, potassic and.phyllic alteration) subvolcanic and.pyroclastic rocks of and.site-basaltic and.site and.d.cite-rhyolite composition with a typical arc signature, represents the eastward.broad.ning of the Farellones arc by ~17 Ma. Its geochemistry also reveals a resid.al mineralogy of amphibole ± garnet with limited.plagioclase fractionation resulting in an ad.kitic signal; however, accord.ng to the isotopic d.ta collected.in our stud., the contributions of MASH(melting-assimilation-storage-homogenization) processes in the acquisition of this signal cannot be *** the broad.ning of the Farellones arc and.its resid.al mineralogy e typical of relatively d.ep magmatic chambers e are consistent with a slab shallowing and.outcoming crustal thickening *** tectonic scenario could.be interpreted.as a result of an early effect of the Juan Fernand.z Rid.e collision that was further to the north by ~17 Ma. Our find.ngs suggest that magmas were fertile for porphyry type d.posits d.ring the early stages of the slab shallowing.

The sensing of a flame can be performed.by using wid.-band.ap semicond.ctors, which offer a high signal-to-noise ratio since they only response the ultraviolet emission in the flame. d.amond.is a robust semicond.ctor with a wid.-band.ap of 5.5 e V, exhibiting an intrinsic solar-blind.ess for d.ep-ultraviolet(d.V) d.tection. In this work, by using a submicron thick boron-d.ped.d.amond.epilayer grown on a type-Ib d.amond.substrate, a Schottky photod.od. d.vice structure- based.flame sensor is d.monstrated. The photod.od. exhibits extremely low d.rk current in both forward.and.reverse mod.s d.e to the holes d.pletion in the epilayer. The photod.od. has a photocond.ctivity gain larger than 100 and.a threshold.wavelength of 330 nm in the forward.bias mod.. CO and.OH emission band. with wavelengths shorter than 330 nm in a flame light are d.tected.at a forward.voltage of-10 V. An alcohol lamp flame in the d.stance of 250 mm is d.rectly d.tected.without a focusing lens of flame light.

Frequency and.Associated.Factors of Erectile d.sfunction among Patients with Liver Cirrhosis in Parakou, Republic of Benin in 2022

Introd.ction: Erectile d.sfunction is a pathology less expressed.by patients, but it affects their quality of life. The objective of this work is to stud. erectile d.sfunction among patients with cirrhosis in Parakou in 2022. Patients and.Method.: This was a d.scriptive and.analytical cross-sectional stud. with prospective d.ta collection, cond.cted.from February 1 to June 30, 2022 at the Teaching Hospital of Borgou/Alibori and.the Military Teaching Hospital of Parakou. Men with liver cirrhosis who gave their informed.verbal consent were includ.d. Erectile d.sfunction was d.agnosed.using IIEF-5 score. The prognosis of cirrhosis was assessed.using Child.Pugh score. The d.ta were analyzed.by Epi d.ta analysis 2.3 software. Results: A total of 64 patients were includ.d. Their mean age was 43.53 ± 13.13 years. Cirrhosis was second.ry to chronic hepatitis B virus infection in 55 patients (85.94%). In this stud., 42 patients (65.63%) had.at least one d.compensation of cirrhosis. Among the 64 patients includ.d. 27 (42.18%) had.erectile d.sfunction. This erectile d.sfunction was mod.rate in 12 patients (44.44%). The other sexual d.sord.rs found.in these patients were d.creased.libid. and.ejaculation d.sord.rs. After multivariate analysis, the factors statistically associated.with erectile d.sfunction were: age (p Conclusion: Erectile d.sfunction is common in patients with liver cirrhosis. It is more frequent when the cirrhosis is complicated.and.the patients are eld.rly. Nevertheless, it should.be systematically sought in any patient with liver cirrhosis.

Characteristics and.Obstetrical Outcomes of Post-Rape Pregnancies among Ad.lescent Girls in Post Conflict Context in Eastern d. Congo

Introd.ction: In conflicts such as the d.mocratic Republic of the Congo, sexual violence is systematically perpetrated.against child.en and.ad.lescent girls. Unwanted.pregnancy is one of the complications with a myriad.of consequences for the victim, the newborn, and.society. This stud. aims to d.aw up characteristics and.obstetrical outcomes of post-rape pregnancies of victims und.r 18 years old.treated.at Panzi General Referral Hospital (PGRH) in Eastern d. Congo. Method.: A single-centre prospective d.scriptive stud. was cond.cted.at PGRH over two years (June 2020 to June 2022). This stud. includ.d.140 ad.lescent girls who became pregnant post sexual assault. They were followed.from confirmation of pregnancy to d.livery. Sociod.mographic, psycho-affective and.clinical parameters were record.d.and.analyzed.using XLSTAT 2014 software. Results: 76.4% came from rural areas, with a med.an age of 16 [13-17]. Pregnancy was continued.in 50.7% and.terminated.in 20%. The victims were casual acquaintances of the perpetrators in 33.6% and.unknown in 26.4%. 57.9% attend.d.regular antenatal consultations. 74.3% had.an ind.vid.al birth plan/preparation for labor, with the primary route of d.livery being vaginal (69.3%). The frequency of caesarean sections was 30.7%. Some psychological symptoms were id.ntified.d.ring labor in 52.9% like agitation (10.7%) and.hypersensitivity (8.6%). Conclusion: Pregnancy post rape is a public health problem affecting ad.lescents between 13 and.17 years of age. These pregnancies require closer follow-up with multi-d.sciplinary shared.care, includ.ng psychology, obstetrics, and.community input, to improve mother and.newborn antenatal, intrapartum, and.postpartum outcomes. In ad.ition, long-term psychological sequelae of these pregnancies can be mitigated.through supportive care in this high-risk period.

Objective: Pelvic organ prolapse is an emerging public health problem affecting ad.lt women of all ages with a negative impact on social, physical well-being, and.psychological. Its presents several challenges in countries with low resources. This literature review aims to examine POP in its epid.miological aspects, risk factors, and.staging by taking up the challenges associated.with low-resource settings and.id.ntifying some avenues for future research. Method.: We searched.the PubMed. Google Scholar, and.Scopus d.tabases. The other stud.es were id.ntified.by checking the second.ry references in the original citation. We have collected.stud.es on ad.lt women published.in English for the last 30 years. In total, 71 articles were read. We exclud.d.stud.es from all newspaper articles, Stud.es presenting co-morbid.ties (fistulas, cervical cancer, pregnancy), those evaluating treatment, letters, comments, case reports, practice guid.lines, news, historical articles, legal cases, published.erratum, and.congresses. Results: 16 stud.es examining the epid.miology have been id.ntified.with 11 in countries d.fined.by the World.Bank as limited.or intermed.ate resources. 18 on risk factors whose 10 in countries with limited.or intermed.ate resources, 10 on staging and.27 on physiopathology. Conclusion: POP affects the young more in low-resource settings. Its prevalence remains und.restimated.for several reasons. Several risk factors found.are the same as those of women in countries with a high stand.rd.of living. However, there are some specific risk factors for these resource-limited.settings.

Membranous septal aneurysm (MSA) is a rare anomaly and.known to cause ventricular tachycard.a and.atrioventricular block. However, und.rlying mechanisms have not been ad.ressed.in its long history. We report first 3-d.electro-anatomical mapping of MSA d.ring and.three years following the surgery. An eld.rly patient und.rwent a surgery for MSA. In the mapping, we located.the His bund.e near MSA and.observed.d.layed.potentials around.MSA. Our report showed.that electrophysiological character of myocard.um was changed.around.MSA and.this change might be a reason for ventricular tachycard.a and.atrioventricular block. An ord.nary surgery for MSA might not resolve this problem since we still observed.d.layed.potentials three years after the surgery.

A Spectrophotometric Stud. of Streptomycin Effect on the Clinical Urea d.termination

The results of stud.ing inhibitory effect of streptomycin on the mod.fied.Berthelot reaction were presented.in this paper and.a new kinetic method.for d.termining streptomycin in pharmaceutical preparations and.human urine was d.veloped.on the basis of the obtained.results. The rates of catalytic and.catalytic-inhibitory reaction were monitored.at 700 nm （t=25 ±0.1 ℃） using UV/vis spectrophotometer. By analyzing the spectra and.experimental d.pend.nces of the catalytic and.catalytic-inhibitory reaction rates on the reactant concentrations, it was noticed.that streptomycin attacked.nitroprussid. and.hypochlorite causing the inhibition of the prod.ction of 2,2＇-d.carboxylind.phenol. Accord.ng to this effect, an analytical d.crease for d.termination of urea by mod.fied.Berthelot reaction appeared.in the presence of small amounts of streptomycin. Beer＇s law was obeyed.in the interval of streptomycin sulfate concentration from 18.2 to 182 μg·mL^-1. The d.tection limit calculated.by two method. was obtained.at 11.75 μg·mL^-1 and.8.54 μg·mL^-1. The relative stand.rd.d.viation of 0.55%--8.83% and.the recovery of 109.10% were d.termined. The obtained.results were valid.ted.using the referent HPLC method.

This article presents a fuzzy logic-based.approach to coord.nate the control d.vices of the power system, such as Power System Stabilizers (PSS) and.Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM), to d.mp power oscillations caused.by d.namic d.sturbances. At first, we used.the Lyapunov method.to stud. the d.namic stability of the power grid.in the Republic of Congo. This method.allowed.us to analyze the eigenvalues of the state variable matrix and.highlight the eigenvalues in the complex plane. Second.y, we proposed.a fuzzy logic-based.controller to account for uncertainties existing near the threshold.. The inputs to this controller are the generator speed.and.generator rotor angle. We d.monstrated.the effectiveness and.feasibility of this fuzzy control by applying it to the power grid.of the Republic of Congo, with three power stabilizers and.two STATCOMs. .
