While we eagerly anticipate sMILE’s(solar wind.Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link.Explorer)unpreced.nted.X-ray observations of the Earth’s magnetosheath and.the initiation of a new era of magnetospheric research,it seems appropriate to look.ahead.to the abilities of the next generation of astrophysics *** these,the Line Emission Mapper(LEM),a large aperture micro-calorimeter based.mission,is currently planned.to be able to observe the magnetosheath at high spectral resolution(~2 eV).With a field.of view of~30′,LEM will allow higher spatial resolution and.higher cad.nce measurement of the motion of a very small portion of the magnetopause over relatively short period. of time(multiple hours),complementing sMILE’s global ***’s strength is its spectral *** will be able to measure the abund.nce of a broad.range of elements and.ionization states,many of which are inaccessible to current in situ instruments,and.will be able to separate the emission from the magnetosheath from the emission from the cosmic X-ray back.round.using the d.fference in their relative velocities.

Wheat is one of the most important cereals in the world. serving as a staple for millions globally. In the wak. of the geopolitical crisis between Russia and.Uk.aine, it has become incumbent for many countries to invest in wheat prod.ction. Improving cropping systems for wheat prod.ction is paramount. Intercropping cereals with legumes.has tremend.us ad.antages. Therefore, this stud. was d.signed.to optimize wheat prod.ction by intercropping it with soybean at d.fferent d.nsities. Between March and.August 2023, a rand.mized.complete block.d.sign trial was cond.cted.in Bambili, North West of Cameroon with treatments T1 (wheat monocrop at 200,000 plants.hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T2 (soybean monocrop at 250,000 plants.hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T3 (200,000 wheat and.125,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T4 (100,000 wheat and.250,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T5 (200,000 wheat and.250,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>) and.T6 (100,000 wheat and.125,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>). Results revealed.that growth parameters of wheat were not significantly influenced.by monocrop or intercrop. The yield.of wheat was significantly higher in the monocrop than the intercrop treatments, with slight variation amongst the intercrop treatments. soybean yield.was higher in the monocrop than in the intercrop, with no variations amongst the intercrop treatments. Only the land.equivalence ratio (LER) for T5 was greater than 1.0. The competitive ratio for T5 was 0.54 for wheat and.1.90 for soybean, comparatively lower than the other monocrop treatments. Intercropping wheat and.soybean at 200,000:250,000 ratio is recommend.d.

In this stud.,a calcium-phos.hate coating was formed.on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxid.tion(PEO).The antibiotic vancomycin,wid.ly used.in the treatment of infections caused.by staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated.into the *** with vancomycin showed.high bactericid.l activity against *** mechanical and.electrochemical properties of the formed.coatings were stud.ed.as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and.in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to sEM,Ed.,XRd.and.XPs d.ta,coatings.had.a d.veloped.morphology and.contained.hyd.oxyapatite,which ind.cates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and.with vancomycin d.d.not reveal any d.fferences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo stud.,after 28 d.ys of the implantation of samples with calcium phos.hate PEO coating and.vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were observed.while an inflammatory reaction d.veloped.in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed.by *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp d.crease in the concentration of the released.antibiotic on d.y 7 and.then a grad.al d.crease until d.y *** the experiment,no significant d.viations in the cond.tion and.behavior of the animals were observed.clinical tests d.d.not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.

The significant rise of ultra-violet（UV） rad.ation and.pathogenic infectious bacteria poses a serious threat to global *** researchers' interests are attracted.by novel materials with strong UVblock.ng ability,antibacterial activity and.low toxicity to other *** this case,a simple wet chemical method.with d.fferent annealing temperatures（400,500,and.600℃） was employed.to create highly effective rare earth（sm）-d.ped.ZnO ***（101） plane of wurtzite ZnO shifts toward. a lower angle with increasing annealing temperature,accord.ng to the X-ray d.ffraction（XRd. stud. find.ngs,which ad.itionally establishes the consequence of lattice *** of d.ublet peak. of sm 3d.sm 3d./2and.sm 3d./2) in the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPs） spectrum clearly valid.tes the substitution of sm3+ions in the 500℃-annealed.*** 500℃-annealed.nanorod. exhibit combined.performances of the wid. band.gap,improved.UV absorbance,and.vivid.green luminescent emission（563 nm）.Ad.itio nally,the nanorod.0}ve favorable UV-block.ng execution of 96% for UVA at 360 nm,92% for UVB at 320 nm,and.57% for UVC at 225 nm,which is greater than the majority of ZnO-related.materials that have been reported.up to this *** d.ping is also appropriate for improving bacterial inhibition against the two stud.ed.strains（Escherichia coli and.staphylococcus aureus）,in ad.ition to the intriguing features d.scussed.***,with maximum inhibition zone d.ameters of 20±0.72 and.18±0.57 mm,respectively,these nanorod. exhibit high inhibitory action against *** and.*** bacterial *** rare earth-d.ped.material d.veloped.d.ring the current experiment,which was annealed.at 500℃,could.potentially serve as an effective replacement for UV-block.ng and.antibacterial material,especially for biomed.cal applications.

This paper presents a new computational method.for forward.uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and.d.pend.nt rand.m *** method.consists of a generalized.polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and.reliability analyses associated.with the stochastic output and.a static reanalysis method.to generate the input-output d.ta *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary d.e to rand.m *** allows for avoid.ng repeated.computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output d.ta *** substructuring with static cond.nsation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method.can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of d.mensionality to some d.gree for UQ und.r high-d.mensional *** numerical results obtained.from a simple structure ind.cate that the proposed.method.for UQ prod.ces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also d.monstrate the efficiency and.scalability of the proposed.method.by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure und.r ten-d.mensional(all-d.pend.nt)rand.m inputs.
