This stud. presents a comparative analysis of two image enhancement techniques, Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and.Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), in the context of improving the clarity of high-quality 3d.seismic d.ta obtained.from the Tano Basin in West Africa, Ghana. The research focuses on a comparative analysis of image clarity in seismic attribute analysis to facilitate the id.ntification of reservoir features within the subsurface structures. The find.ngs of the stud. ind.cate that CWT has a significant ad.antage over FFT in terms of image quality and.id.ntifying subsurface structures. The results d.monstrate the superior performance of CWT in provid.ng a better representation, mak.ng it more effective for seismic attribute analysis. The stud. highlights the importance of choosing the appropriate image enhancement technique based.on the specific application need. and.the broad.r context of the stud.. While CWT provid.s high-quality images and.superior performance in id.ntifying subsurface structures, the selection between these method. should.be mad. jud.ciously, tak.ng into account the objectives of the stud. and.the characteristics of the signals being analyzed. The research provid.s valuable insights into the d.cision-mak.ng process for selecting image enhancement techniques in seismic d.ta analysis, helping researchers and.practitioners mak. informed.choices that cater to the unique requirements of their stud.es. In a local context, sustainable d.velopment entails utilizing the current resources—material and.immaterial, measurable and.immeasurable, popular and.unpopular—of the community in a manner that avoid. overexploitation and.ensures intergenerational equity. This approach prioritizes the safety and.health of local citizens, placing communal prod.ctivity above corporate profitability. This research aims to assess air quality surround.ng 28 chemical ind.stry sites in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to und.rstand.the environmental and.health impacts of ind.strial pollutants, with a focus on environmental justice. Air quality pollutants, includ.ng PM2.5, PM10, O3, NO2, CO, and.SO2, were monitored.for 75 d.ys d.ring the Summer, using the BreezoMeter app. Python, Mapize, and.QGIS software technologies were utilized.for d.ta analysis and.visualization. Find.ngs ind.cate a red.ction in NO2 and.CO levels, compared.to existing literature. However, the persistent challenge of particulate matter suggests areas for further environmental management efforts. Ad.itionally, the research suggests a significant d.sparity in air pollution exposure, probably affecting marginalized.communities. Although the nature of the stud. might not fully capture annual pollution trend., the find.ngs highlight the urgent need.for the chemical ind.stry to ad.pt efficient prod.ction method. and.for policymak.rs to enhance air quality stand.rd. and.enforcement, particularly in pollution-sensitive areas. The d.sproportionate impact of air pollution on vulnerable communities calls for a more inclusive approach to environmental justice, ensuring equitable d.stribution of clean air benefits and.community involvement in pollution management d.cisions.

Comparison of Spatial Interpolation Method. of Precipitation d.ta in Central Maced.nia, Greece

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the spatial interpolation of rainfall variability with d.terministic and.geostatic inspections in the Prefecture of k.lk.s (Greece). The precipitation d.ta where record.d.from 12 meteorological stations in the Prefecture of k.lk.s for 36 hyd.ological years (1973-2008). The cumulative monthly values of rainfall were stud.ed.on an annual and.seasonal basis as well as d.ring the arid.d.y season. In the d.terministic tests, the I.d.W. and.R.B.F. check. were inspected. while in the geostatic tests, Ord.nary k.iging and.Universal k.iging respectively. The selection of the optimum method.was mad. based.on the least Root Mean Square Error (R.M.S.E.), as well as on the Mean Error (M.E.), as assessed.by the cross valid.tion analysis. The geostatical k.iging also consid.red.the impact of isotropy and.anisotropy across all time period. of d.ta collection. Moreover, for Universal k.iging, the stud. explored.spherical, exponential and.Gaussian mod.ls in various combinations. Geostatistical techniques consistently d.monstrated.greater reliability than d.terministic techniques across all time period. of d.ta collection. Specifically, d.ring the annual period. anisotropy was the prevailing characteristic in geostatistical techniques. Moreover, the results for the irrigation and.seasonal period. were generally comparable, with few exceptions where isotropic method. yield.d.lower (R.M.S.E.) in some seasonal observations.
