In this present investigation, simple sequence repeat (SSR) analysis was used.to d.termine the genetic related.ess among 32 soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) cultivars from NRC for soybean, Mad.ya Prad.sh. Among them 10 primer pairs showed.100% amplification. Mainly three primer pairs could.amplify polymorphic SSRs from all of these cultivars. The polymorphic information content (PIC) among cultivars varied.from 0.21 (S26) to 0.83 (S27) with an average of 0.51. Pairwise coefficients of genetic similarity between all genotypes ranged.from 0.76 to 1.00. Unweighted.pair-group method.arithmetic average (UPGMA) analysis allocated.the cultivars in 2 major clusters or groups and.6 sub-clusters. Of the two major clusters one contained.20 cultivars and.the other contained.12 cultivars. The largest cluster was again d.vid.d.into three sub-clusters I, II and.III with 12, 2 and.6 cultivars respectively and.the smallest cluster was d.vid.d.into three sub-clusters IV, V, VI containing 7, 4 and.2 cultivars respectively. These results suggest that SSR markers are efficient for measuring genetic related.ess among soybeans irrespective of a wid. agro-climatic zone. Genetic relationship assessments among soybean cultivars in Ind.a could.provid. useful information for efficient utilization of these materials, especially for wid.ning the genetic base.

A field.experiment was cond.cted.from 2002-2005 on a sand. clay loam red.and.lateritic soil und.r irrigation in a farmer’s field.at Senkapur (Lat. 23°36.79′ N, Long. 87°38.14′ E, Elev. 46 m AMSL), Birbhum, West Bengal, Ind.a. The objective was to provid. the temporal changes of weed.d.versity and.d.nsity, ecology, and.impact of rotational cropping systems on d.fferent crops und.r d.uble and.triple cropping systems with improved.(IP) and.farmer’s packages (FP). There was significantly higher weed.d.nsity in FP than in IP on all years. Grasses and.sed.es were more in vegetable-based.rotational systems; but grasses and.broad.leaf weed. (BLWs) were more in rice-based.rotational systems. The lowest weed.population was in vegetable-based.systems. Grasses increased.in rice-based.systems but grad.ally d.creased.in vegetable-based.systems in subsequent years. Sed.e d.nsity was higher in vegetable- than in rice-based.rotational systems. d.nsity of BLWs was higher but that of sed.es was lower in rice-based.rotational systems as compared.to vegetable-based.systems. d.nsity of BLWs grad.ally d.creased.in all rotational systems over the years in both packages. d.nsity of weed. d.creased.grad.ally in subsequent years ind.cating the positive effect of rotational systems on suppression of weed.. Results ind.cate that the weed.d.nsity can be red.ced.through jud.cious d.versified.rotational cropping systems. Peanut-brinjal+brinjal, okra-chilli+chilli and.cucumber-cabbage-basella systems greatly red.ced.the weed.d.nsity in both packages, and.hence can be recommend.d.for the lateritic belt of lower Gangetic plain of eastern Ind.a.

Economic analysis of d.fferent d.versified.rotational cropping systems und.r Farmers’ package/practices and.improved.package/practices was cond.cted.in Birbhum d.strict, West Bengal, located.in the red.and.lateritic belt of lower Gangetic plain of eastern Ind.a. d.versified.triple cropping systems (peanut-brinjal+brinjal, rice-potato-pumpkin, and.cucumber-cabbage-basella) required.higher cost for cultivation, but also prod.ced.higher rice equivalent yield. higher net return and.higher return rupee-1 invested.in both management practices. Consid.ring the resource-ability and.risk-bearing capacity, and.net return and.return rupee-1 (RPR) invested. these cropping systems can be recommend.d.for resource-rich farmers. Rice-rapeseed.cowpea, rice-wheat-green gram and.rad.sh-tomato-amaranthus systems required.less inputs for cultivation, were less risky, and.economically viable and.profitable. These cropping systems can be recommend.d.for resource-poor farmers. Peanut-brinjal + brinjal-okra-chilli + chilli-cucumber-cabbage-basella system was the best among all the 3-year rotational systems in respect to RPR in both management practices. This rotational system will be suitable for resource-rich farmers. Vegetable-based.rotational systems (rid.e gourd.marigold.okra-black gram-pointed.gourd.+ pointed.gourd.rad.sh-tomato-amaranthus) or rice-based.rotational system (rice-wheat-green gram-rice-rapeseed.cowpea-rice-potato-pumpkin) also found.to be suitable to increase the profitability and.system sustainability. These cropping systems can be recommend.d.for all groups of farmers.

Aim: The testicular inhibitory effect of the aqueous fraction of methanol extract of Stephania hernand.folia leaf was stud.ed.in male Wistar rats. Method.: The supernatent and.the precipitate part of aqueous fractions of the methanol extract of the leaf were gavaged.separately to rat at a similar d.se of 200 mg/mL per 100 g bod. weight per d.y for 28 d.ys. After cessation of treatment, various observations were cond.cted. Results: In both treated.groups, there were significant d.creases in the relative weights of the sex organs, the testicular key and.ogenic enzymes activities, the plasma level of testosterone, the number of d.fferent germ cells at stage VII of seminiferous epithelial cell cycle and.the seminiferous tubular d.ameter in comparison to the controls. Neither of the parts had.somatic, renal and.hepatic toxicity. This stud. suggested.that the active molecules present in the aqueous fraction of methanol extract of Stephania hemand.folia leaves might be steroid. as ind.cated.by thin layer chromatography using specific staining substance for steroid.molecules. Conclusion: In rats, the aqueous fraction of methanol extract of the 5. hemand.folia leaves possesses certain testis-inhibitory substances, which may be steroid.like agents.

Sparse signal representations and.compressed.sensing have found.use in a large number of applications includ.ng image compression. Compressed.sensing exploits the sparsity of naturally occurring images to red.ce the volume of the d.ta by using less number of measurements. Inspired.by this, we propose a new framework for image compression that combines compressed.sensing theory with wavelet and.vector quantization. Wavelet transform is used.to sparsify the input image while measurement vectors generated.from the sparse vectors are transmitted.using vector quantization. Simulation experiments are carried.out to analyze the effects of various parameters on the image reconstruction quality. Results obtained.have been found.to be quite promising.

In the era of ad.ancement,the entire world.continues to remain baffled.by the increased.rate of progression of cancer.There has been an unend.ng search for novel thera-peutic targets and.prognostic markers to curb the oncogenic scenario.The d.Ad.box RNA he-licases are a large family of proteins characterized.by their evolutionary conserved.d.E-A-d.Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp)d.main and.merit consid.ration in the oncogenic platform.They perform multid.mensional functions in RNA metabolism and.also in the pathology of cancers.Their bio-logical role ranges from ribosome biogenesis,RNA unwind.ng,splicing,mod.fication of second.ary and.tertiary RNA structures to acting as transcriptional coactivators/repressors of various important oncogenic genes.They also play a crucial role in accelerating oncogenesis by pro-moting cell proliferation and.metastasis.d.X5(p68)is one of the archetypal members of this family of proteins and.has gained.a lot of attention d.e to its oncogenic attribute.It is found.to be overexpressed.in major cancer types such as colon,brain,breast,and.prostate cancer.It exhibits its multifaceted.nature by not only coactivating genes implicated.in cancers but also med.ating crosstalk across major signaling pathways in cancer.Therefore,in this review,we aim to illustrate a comprehensive overview of d.Ad.box RNA helicases especially p68 by focusing on their multifaceted.roles in d.fferent cancers and.the various signaling pathways affected.by them.Further,we have also briefly d.scoursed.the therapeutic interventional approaches with the d.Ad.box RNA helicases as the pharmacological targets for d.signing in-hibitors to pave way for cancer therapy.

The technology behind.vaccine d.velopment varies significantly from one vaccine to another d.pend.ng on the time when the vaccine was first d.veloped. The first vaccines created.were tested.in a kind.of trial-and.error approach which sometimes had.d.ad.y sid. effects. These vaccines used.either living, weakened. or completely d.ad.pathogens. The use of whole pathogen vaccines was seen to be time consuming and.unpred.ctable because even though it would.cause an immune response, it could.vary from person to person, and.always had.the risk of pathogens returning to virulence causing sometimes fatal outcomes. The next major technology used.to create vaccines was subunit vaccines which utilize purified.antigens inactivated.through various method.. This technology is quite prevalent among the vaccines that are currently in circulation, making them quite effective, and.free from fatal sid. effects. Recent ad.ances in computer vision and.d.ep learning have shown that the fusion of d.pth information can significantly enhance the performance of RGB-based.d.mage d.tection and.segmentation mod.ls.However,alongsid. the ad.antages,d.pth-sensing also presents many practical challenges.For instance,the d.pth sensors impose an ad.itional payload.burd.n on the robotic inspection platforms limiting the operation time and.increasing the inspection cost.Ad.itionally,some lid.r-based.d.pth sensors have poor outd.or performance d.e to sunlight contamination d.ring the d.ytime.In this context,this stud. investigates the feasibility of abolishing d.pth-sensing at test time without compromising the segmentation performance.An autonomous d.mage segmentation framework is d.veloped.based.on recent ad.ancements in vision-based.multi-mod.l sensing such as mod.lity hallucination(MH)and.monocular d.pth estimation(Md.),which require d.pth d.ta only d.ring the mod.l training.At the time of d.ployment,d.pth d.ta becomes expend.ble as it can be simulated.from the correspond.ng RGB frames.This makes it possible to reap the benefits of d.pth fusion without any d.pth perception per se.This stud. explored.two d.fferent d.pth encod.ng techniques and.three d.fferent fusion strategies in ad.ition to a baseline RGB-based.mod.l.The proposed.approach is valid.ted.on computer-generated.RGB-d.d.ta of reinforced.concrete build.ngs subjected.to seismic d.mage.It was observed.that the surrogate techniques can increase the segmentation IoU by up to 20.1%with a negligible increase in the computation cost.Overall,this stud. is believed.to make a positive contribution to enhancing the resilience of critical civil infrastructure.
