Purpose: The purpose of the stud. is to evaluate the analg.sic effect of ad.ing.mag.esium sulfate to bupivacaine in Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block (FI-CB). Patients and.Method.: Ninety-six burn patients sched.led.for skin-g.afting.proced.res were allocated.into two equal g.oups. After ind.ction of g.neral anaethesia, forty-eig.t patients received.US g.id.d./b> FICB using.35 ml bupivacaine 0.25% + 5 ml isotonic sod.um chlorid. solution with a total volume of 40 ml. The other forty-eig.t patients received.35 ml bupivacaine 0.25% + 250 mg.of mag.esium sulfate with a total volume of 40 ml. Results: Total postoperative pethid.ne consumption in the first 24 h post-operative showed.a hig.ly statistically sig.ificant d.crease in the mag.esium g.oup in comparison to the bupivacaine g.oup. Conclusion: Ad.ing.mag.esium sulfate to bupivacaine in FICB in skin g.afting.proced.res d.creased.the pain scores post-operative, d.layed.the first request of analg.sia and.red.ced.the total analg.sic consumption in the first 24 h post-operative without any sig.ificant sid. effects.

BACKg.OUNd. As the field.of Emerg.ncy Med.cine g.ows world.id., the importance of an Emerg.ncy d.partment Crash Cart(Ed.C) has long.been recog.ized. Yet, there is paucity of relevant peer-reviewed.literature specifically d.scussing.Ed.Cs or proposing.d.tailed.features for an Ed.C suitable for both ad.lt and.ped.atric patients. METHOd.: The authors performed.a systematic review of Ed.C-specific literature ind.xed.in Pubmed.and.Embase on d.cember 20, 2016. In ad.ition, the authors reviewed.the 2015 American Heart Association(AHA) g.id.lines for card.opulmonary resuscitation and.emerg.ncy card.ovascular care, the 2015 European Resuscitation Council(ERC) g.id.lines for resuscitation, and.the 2013 American Colleg. of Surg.ons(ACS) Ad.anced.Trauma Life Support(ATLS) 9 th ***: There were a total of 277 results, with 192 unique results and.85 d.plicates. After careful review by two ind.pend.nt reviewers, all but four references were exclud.d. None of the four includ.d.articles d.scribed.comprehensive contents of equipment and.med.cations for both the ad.lt and.ped.atric populations. This article d.scribes in d.tail the final four articles specific to Ed.C, and.proposes a set of sug.ested.contents for the Ed.C. CONCLUSION: Our systematic review shows the striking.paucity of such a hig. impact ind.spensable item in the Ed. We hope that our Ed.C content sug.estions help enhance the level of response of Ed. in the resuscitation of ad.lt and.ped.atric populations, and.encourag. the implementation of and.ad.erence to the latest evid.nce-based.resuscitation g.id.lines.

The purpose of this paper is to learn from the integ.ated.health care approach for the Syrian Armenian refug.es by the HKCC （Howard.Karag.eusian Commemorative Corporation） in Burj Hammoud.in Lebanon from the perspective of the beneficiaries themselves, i.e. the Syrian Armenian refug.es. One hund.ed.families who had.been resid.ng.in Burj Hammoud.and.who had.been reg.larly benefiting.from the health services of the HKCC for at least one year were interviewed. The interviewees used.a semi-structured.questionnaire. d.ta were analyzed.and.emerg.ng.themes were mapped. The Syrian Armenian refug.es who participated.in this stud. g.nerally expressed.their satisfaction with the equitable access afford.d.by the HKCC’s integ.ated.health care approach. There were several reasons why the HKCC’s integ.ated.approach to serve refug.es and.the local population on equal footing.was g.ven positive reviews by the sampled.refug.es. Based.on the responses of the refug.es, these reasons are mainly （a） the convenient location of the center, which is walking.d.stance for most refug.es; （b） the ability of the treating.d.ctors to communicate with the refug.es in Armenian, which facilitates d.ag.osis and.und.rstand.ng.of the health problems; （c） suitable opening.hours; （d. friend.y staff; and.（e） thoroug. d.ctors. The results d. not statistically represent the overall refug.e population that is served.by the HKCC; d.e to the stud.’s limited.d.mog.aphic scope, the results cannot be g.neralized. This limitation was d.e to lack of fund.ng.to cover the whole beneficiary Syrian Armenian refug.e population. The HKCC’s approach has helped.in provid.ng.access to treatment and.preventive measures to a refug.e population that was in need.of it; as a consequence, it may have improved.the health outcomes of this refug.e population, especially in reg.rd.to the immunization of child.en. Objective： Of this stud. was to compare this multiple-field.conformal technique to the AP-PA technique with re- spect to targ.t volume coverag. and.d.se to normal tissues. Method.： Seventeen patients with stag.s Ⅱ-Ⅲ d.nocarcinoma of the stomach were treated.with ad.uvant postoperative chemorad.otherapy presented.to rad.otherapy d.partment in National Cancer Institute, Cairo in period.between February 2009 to March 2010 using.3d.conformal rad.otherapy technique that consisted.of a monoisocentric arrang.ment Employing.4-6 rad.ation field.. For each patient, a second.rad.otherapy treatment plan was g.nerated.utilizing.AP-PA field., the two techniques were then compared.for targ.t volume coverag. and.d.se to normal tissues using.d.se volume histog.am （d.H） analysis. Results： The planning.targ.t volume （PTV） was ad.quately covered.in both （ 3d.＆ 2d.） plans, comparative d.Hs for the rig.t kid.ey, left kid.ey and.spinal cord.d.monstrate lower rad.ation d.ses using.the conformal technique especially for left kid.ey ＆ spinal cord. but the liver d.ses is hig.er but still well below liver tolerance. Conclusion： 3d.conformal rad.otherapy prod.ced.red.ced.rad.ation d.ses to the kid.eys （especially left kid.ey ＆ spinal cord. compared.to AP-PA techniques, with the potential to red.ce treatment toxicity.

Method.: We cond.cted.a sing.e institutional prospective comparative d.simetric analysis of 15 patients who received.rad.cal rad.ation therapy for blad.er cancer presented.to Rad.otherapy d.partment in National Cancer Institute, Cairo (Eg.pt), in period.between November 2011 to July 2012 using.3-d.mensional (3d. conformal rad.otherapy technique for each patient, a second.2d.conventional rad.otherapy treatment plan was d.ne, the two techniques were then compared.using.d.se volume histog.am (d.H) analysis. Results: Comparing.d.fferent d.Hs, it was found.that the planning.targ.t volume (PTV) was ad.quately covered.in both (3d.& 2d. plans while it was d.monstrated.that this multiple field.conformal technique prod.ced.superior d.stribution compared.to 2d.technique, with consid.rable sparing.of rectum and.to lesser extent for the head.of both femora. Conclusion: From the present stud., it is recommend.d.to use 3d.planning.for cases of blad.er cancer especially in eld.rly patients as it prod.ces g.od.coverag. of the targ.t volume as well as g.od.sparing.of the surround.ng.critical org.ns.
