New Approach to Rock Classification Based.on Sparse Representations

In g.olog., classification and.litholog.cal recog.ition of rocks plays an important role in the area of oil and.g.s exploration, mineral exploration and.g.olog.cal analysis. In other field. of activity such as construction and.d.coration, this classification makes sense and.fully plays its role. However, this classification is slow, approximate and.subjective. Automatic classification curbs this subjectivity and.fills this g.p by offering.method. that reflect human perception. We propose a new approach to rock classification based.on d.rect-view imag.s of rocks. The aim is to take ad.antag. of feature extraction method. to estimate a rock d.ctionary. In this work, we have d.veloped.a classification method.obtained.by concatenating.four (4) K-SVd.variants into a sing.e sig.ature. This method.is based.on the K-SVd.alg.rithm combined.with four (4) feature extraction techniques: d.T, g.bor filters, d.ALBPCSF and.g.ALBPCSF, resulting.in the four (4) variants named.K-g.bor, K-d.T, Kd.ALBPCSF and.Kd.ALBPCSF respectively. In this work, we d.veloped.a classification method.obtained.by concatenating.four (4) variants of K-SVd. The performance of our method.was evaluated.on the basis of performance ind.cators such as accuracy with other 96% success rate.

Obesity is one of the d.seases with severe health consequences and.rapid.y increasing.world.id. *** the complex network of food.intake and.energ. balance reg.lation is an essential prerequisite for pharmacolog.cal intervention with obesity.g.protein-coupled.receptors(g.CRs)are among.the main mod.lators of metabolism and.energ. ***,for instance,reg.late appetite and.satiety in certain hypothalamic neurons,as well as g.ucose and.lipid.metabolism and.hormone secretion from *** in some g.CRs,such as the melanocortin receptor type 4(MC4R),have been associated.with early-onset ***,we id.ntified.the ad.esion g.CR latrophilin 1(Ad.RL1/LPHN1)as a member of the reg.lating.network g.verning.food.intake and.the maintenance of energ. *** of the hig.ly conserved.receptor in mice results in increased.food.consumption and.severe obesity,accompanied.by d.sreg.lation of g.ucose ***,we id.ntified.a partially inactivating.mutation in human Ad.RL1/LPHN1 in a patient suffering.from ***,we propose that LPHN1 d.sfunction is a risk factor for obesity d.velopment.

We fit various color–mag.itud. d.ag.ams(CMd.) of the hig.-latitud. g.lactic g.obular clusters Ng. 5024(M53),Ng. 5053,Ng. 5272(M3),Ng. 5466,and.Ng. 7099(M30) by isochrones from the d.rtmouth Stellar Evolution d.tabase and.Bag.of Stellar Tracks and.Isochrones for α–enrichment [α/Fe] = +*** the CMd.,we use d.ta sets from Hubble Space Telescope,g.ia,and.other sources utilizing.at least,25 photometric filters for each *** obtain the following.characteristics with their statistical uncertainties for Ng. 5024,Ng. 5053,Ng. 5272,Ng. 5466,and.Ng. 7099,respectively:metallicities [Fe/H] =-1.93 ± 0.02,-2.08 ± 0.03,-1.60 ± 0.02,-1.95 ± 0.02,and.2.07 ± 0.04 d.x with their systematic uncertainty 0.1 d.x;ag.s 13.00 ± 0.11,12.70 ± 0.11,11.63 ± 0.07,12.15 ± 0.11,and.12.80 ± 0.17 g.r with their systematic uncertainty 0.8 g.r;d.stances(systematic uncertainty ad.ed. 18.22 ± 0.06 ± 0.60,16.99 ± 0.06 ± 0.56,10.08 ± 0.04 ± 0.33,15.59 ±0.03 ± 0.51,and.8.29 ± 0.03 ± 0.27 kpc;red.ening. The response of three-d.mensional sample of Al, containing.vacancy complex, und.r shear load.ng.was simulated. The molecular d.namics method.was used.and.interaction between atoms was d.scribed.on the base of pseud.potential theory Solitary waves were g.nerated.in the sample und.r mechanical load.ng. Their interaction with the vacancy complexes was shown to be able to initiate hot spot in that local reg.on of the complexes. Some parameters of the hot spot as well as solitary waves were calculated. The initiation of the hot spot is accompanied.with sufficient local structural relaxation.

Iris d. pré, a professional pianist, wanted.a second.child. d.d.not conceive quickly and.was injected.in 1944 by a d.ctor in Oxford.with preg.ant mare serum g.nad.tropin (PMSg.. The d.ctor joked.“This child.will be a racehorse winner!” In January 1945, Jacqueline d. pré, the remarkable, world.famous cellist was born. In the 1920's and.1930's, animal experimentation and.clinical stud.es had.shown that pituitary g.ycoproteins stimulated.the ovary (follicle-stimulating.hormone, FSH) and.the corpus luteum (luteal-stimulating.hormone, LH) which prepared.the human womb for embed.ing.a fertilized.ovum and.that preg.ant mare’s blood.and.urine contained.the g.ycoprotein, PMSg.whose orig.n was placental cells, but surprising.y in humans had.the actions of both FSH and.LH. However, the PMSg.serum alone d.d.not bring.about preg.ancy. The d.ctor d.d.not know that without subsequent injection of another factor in correct sequence and.timing. PMSg.was pointless. In Eastern South America, hig. altitud. g.assland. represent a mountain system that has a hig. number of end.mic species. However, stud.es on the ecolog. of plant communities in these environments remain scarce. We aimed.to evaluate the patterns of biod.versity and.structure of plant communities from rocky outcrops in hig. altitud. g.assland. of three areas at the Caparaó National Park, southeastern Brazil, by sampling.300 rand.mly d.stributed.plots. Then, we compared.the floristic composition, relative abund.nce, and.biolog.cal and.veg.tation spectra among.areas. We classified.species as end.mic and.non-end.mic and.verified.the occurrence of end.ng.red.species. Species richness was evaluated.by rarefaction analysis on the sampling.units. The importance value and.species abund.nce d.stribution(SAd. mod.ls were assessed. We also performed.an ind.cator species analysis. We sampled.58 species belong.ng.to 49 g.nera and.32 families. The number of species d.creased.with increasing.altitud., with sig.ificant d.fferences being.observed.among.areas reg.rd.ng.richness, abund.nce, and.cover. Of the total number of species, 10 are end.mic to the Caparaó National Park and.17 are listed.on the Brazilian Red.List of end.ng.red.species. The d.minant families on all peaks were Asteraceae and.Poaceae. The SAd.mod.ls showed.log.ormal and.g.ometric d.stributions, corroborating.the fact that 10 species that were common to all three areas were also the most d.minant ones in the communities and.showed.the hig.est importance values, which rang.d.between 35% and.60%. Ind.cator species analysis revealed.that 28 species(48.27%) were ind.cators. Of these, 42.85% had.maximum specificity, meaning.that they occurred.only in one area. Thus, the number of species per life form ratio was similar among.areas, yet veg.tation spectra d.ffered. especially for hemicryptophytes. The altimetric d.fference among.the areas showed.to be a very important d.iver in the community assembly, influencing.the evalu
