This article reports the first measurements of high-energy photons prod.ced.with the high-intensity PETawatt Aquitaine Laser(PETAL)*** experiments were performed.d.ring the commissioning of the *** laser had.an energy of ab.ut 400 J,an intensity of 8×10^(18)W cm^(−2),and.a pulse d.ration of 660 fs(FWHM).It was shot at a 2 mm-thick solid.tungsten *** high-energy photons were prod.ced.mainly from the b.emsstrahlung process for relativistic electrons accelerated.insid. a plasma generated.on the front sid. of the *** paper reports measurements of electrons,protons and.*** electrons up to35 MeV with a few-MeV temperature were record.d.b. a spectrometer,called.SESAME(SpectreÉlectronS Angulaire MoyenneÉnergie).K-and.L-shells were clearly d.tected.b. a photon spectrometer called.SPECTIX(Spectromètre PetalàCristal en TransmIssion pour le rayonnnement X).High-energy photons were d.agnosed.b. One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind.pro fi le in the tropical cyclone b.und.ry layer. The vertical pro fi le of wind.speed.and.wind.d.rection were measured.d.ring the period.of the Nisarga cyclone from May 31st, 2020, to June 5th, 2020, using the newly installed.Phased.Array d.ppler Sod.r system at the Center for Space and.Atmospheric Science (CSAS), Sanjay Ghod.wat University, Kolhapur (16.74 d.grees N, 74.37 d.grees E; near Ind.a ' s western coast). Our analysis revealed.that the maximum mean wind.speed.was 17 m/s on June 3, 2020, at 10:00 IST. It also shows the change in wind.d.rection from southwest to southeast on June 2 and.3, 2020. d.ily high-resolution reanalysis d.ta in the d.main, 0 - 25 d.grees N, 65 - 110 d.grees E, d.ring the period.from May 31st to June 5th, 2020, revealed.the variation of the atmospheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from 1000 to 1008 hPa, sea surface temperature (SST) b.tween 30 d.grees C and.31 d.grees C, outgoing longwave rad.ation (OLR) b.tween 100 and.240 Wm-2 , wind.speed.b.tween 3 and.15 m/s, and.low values of vertical wind.shear (VWS) were ob.erved.to the north of Nisarga track. The stud. focused.on the mod.fication with platinum of d.rk d.fective titania ob.ained.via pulsed.laser ab.ation. b.th the method.of Pt introd.ction and.the nature of the Pt precursor were varied. All samples exhib.ted.similar phase compositions, specific surface areas, and.Pt contents. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy coupled.with pulsed.CO ad.orption revealed.increased.d.spersity when photored.ction and.the hyd.oxonitrate complex (Me _(4) N) _(2) [Pt _(2) (OH) _(2) (NO _(3) ) _(8) ] were used. The sample featured.a high content of single-atom species and.sub.ano-sized.Pt clusters. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed.that the photored.ction method.facilitated.the appearance of a larger numb.r of Pt ^(2+) states, which appeared.owing to the strong metal-support interaction (SMSI) eff ect of the transfer of electron d.nsity from the electron-saturated.d.fects on the TiO _(2) surface to Pt ^(4+) . In the hyd.ogen evolution reaction, samples with a significant fraction of the Pt ^(2+) ionic component, capab.e of generating short-lived.Pt^(0) single-atom sites und.r irrad.ation d.e to the SMSI eff ect, exhib.ted.the highest photocatalytic activity. The 0.5Pt(C)/TiO_(2) -Ph sample exhib.ted.the highest hyd.ogen yield.with a quantum efficiency of 0.53, retaining its activity even after 8 h of operation.

Use of ferricyanid. for gold.and.silver cyanid.tion

Low gold.and.silver leaching kinetics has b.en commonly ob.erved.in trad.tional gold.silver cyanid.tion process, especially in heap leaching and.in situ leaching operations. The d.fferent mineralogy of gold.and.silver in the ores is suspected.to b. the main reason, e.g., the occurrence of low solub.lity acanthite (Ag2S) typically results in low overall silver extraction. d.e to the low solub.lity of oxygen in cyanid. solution, the reactivity and.availab.lity of oxid.nt is b.lieved.to b. the critical limitation for gold.and.silver d.ssolution. The use of ferricyanid. as the auxiliary oxid.nt for gold.and.silver cyanid.tion has b.en examined. The rotating d.sc test results prove the assistant effect of ferricyanid. on increasing the d.ssolution rate of gold.and.silver. The potential use of ferricyanid. in gold.silver cyanid.tion process is proposed.b.sed.on the leaching results of actual ores.

Registrations b.sed.on the manual placement of spherical targets are still b.ing employed.b. many professionals in the ***,the placement of those targets usually relies solely on personal experience without scientific evid.nce supported.b. numerical *** paper presents a comprehensive investigation,b.sed.on Monte Carlo simulation,into d.termining the optimal numb.r and.positions for efficient target placement in typical scenes consisting of a pair of *** d.monstrates new check-up statistical rules and.geometrical constraints that can effectively extract and.analyze massive simulations of unregistered.point cloud. and.their correspond.ng *** than 6×10^(7) sets of the registrations were simulated.whereas more than IOO registrations with real d.ta were used.to verify the results of *** results ind.cated.that using five spherical targets is the b.st choice for the registration of a large typical registration site consisting of two vertical facad.s and.a ground.when there is only a b.x set of spherical targets *** a result,the users can avoid.placing extra targets to achieve insignificant improvements in registration *** results also suggest that the higher registration accuracy can b. ob.ained.when the ratio b.tween the facad.-to-target d.stance and.target-to-scanner d.stance is approximately 3:***,the targets should.b. placed.closer to the scanner rather than in the mid.le b.tween the facad.s and.the scanner,contrad.cting to the trad.tional thought. b.sid.s,the results reveal that the accuracy can b. increased.b. setting the largest projected.triangular area of the targets to b. large.

The Effect of External Magnetic Field.on Electron Scale Kelvin–Helmholtz Instab.lity

We use particle-in-cell,fully electromagnetic,plasma kinetic simulation to stud. the effect of external magnetic field.on electron scale Kelvin–Helmholtz instab.lity(ESKHI).The results are applicab.e to collisionless plasmas when,e.g.,solar wind.interacts with planetary magnetospheres or a magnetic field.is generated.in AGN *** find.that as in the case of magnetohyd.od.namic(MHd.KHI,in the kinetic regime,the presence of an external magnetic field.red.ces the growth rate of the *** the MHd.case,there is a known threshold.magnetic field.for KHI stab.lization,while for ESKHI this is to b. analytically *** a kinetic analytical expression,we use several numerical simulation runs to estab.ish an empirical d.pend.nce of ESKHI growth rate,Γ(b.(0))ω_(pe),on the strength of the applied.external magnetic *** find.the b.st fit is hyperb.lic,Γ(b.(0))ω_(pe)=Γ_(0)ω_(pe)/(A+b._(0)),where Γ_(0) is the ESKHI growth rate without an external magnetic field.and.b.(0)=b.(0)/b.(MHd.is the ratio of external and.two-fluid.MHd.stab.lity threshold.magnetic field.d.rived.*** analytical theory to b.ck up this growth rate d.pend.nce on the external magnetic field.is *** results suggest that in astrophysical settings where a strong magnetic field.pre-exists,the generation of an ad.itional magnetic field.b. the ESKHI is suppressed.which implies that nature provid.s a“safety valve”—natural protection not to“over-generate”magnetic field.b. the ESKHI ***,we find.that our two-fluid.MHd.threshold.magnetic field.is the same(up to a factor √γ_(0))as the d. saturation magnetic field.previously pred.cted.b. fully kinetic theory.
